Pelosi is coming to Grosse Pointe Farms on July 25th...to help re-elect Cheeks Kilpatrick...I hope people show up a let the Speaker of the House Ms. Pelosi aka Ms. Multi Millionaire..know just what we think of her and her Henchmen...and the crappy job she's doing in Congress..we should all thank her for the high price we're all paying for our gas since she refuses to bring it to a vote to let us drill...NOW.. Michigan is a fine example how well the Democrates are running this State right in the ground...from Lansing to Washington...Did you know that Carl Levin senate seat is up for vote this November...He's been in office 30 yrs...too long...Here are some of the things he has supported.. giving social Security benefits to "illegal immigrants"...He voted for more Government and the taxes to support it...He said he wants to fight for manufacturing jobs but all we do is loss more..And voted against "ENGLISH" as the Official Language..And if re-elected he will repeal the death tax and reinstate the marrige penalty tax...I guess he wants to "Blow Us Away"..just like Jennifer did...and we all know how that turned out..We need to pay attention whats going on in this election year...because if Obama gets in WE WILL ALL GET BLOWN AWAY...

You can add John Dingel to your retirement list with Carl Levin. Both of them have done nothing for the people in Michigan. They will have very nice retirement packages... They have helped themselves and left us to dangle in the wind. That's what Granholm meant by being "Blown away".

Cheeks and Pelosi - the twin arrogant sistahs. Blech! I gave up on Pelosi when she tried to get herself a special jet to fly her butt around at our expense. She wants perks and privileges no other Speaker of the House has ever had.

Ms. High 'n Mighty Pelosi is too busy out promoting her new book (she needs the money) to stay and bring the drill ban vote to the floor. As President Bush was telling us he had dropped the drill in America ban, the price of oil dropped $9. a barrel! Now Pelosi refuses to bring it to a vote. No wonder Congress' approval rating is so low and should be even lower with the creeps in Washington that only want to pass on what benefits them and their special interest groups and could care less about America and what's best for us. We have made members of Congress rich(er) than they ever dreamed AND when they finally leave, they'll draw their same salary and NOT the pitiful social security that we're supposed to live on. The same social security that they saw as a rich pile of money to steal from that is now almost broke - thanks to them. What they couldn't steal - they gave to illegals and are still giving to them. I'm a 67 year old woman, worked all my life supporting three children, and retired from IC Railroad. An illegal that has never worked draws more money than I do AND they have more benefits. Is this the America we were born and grew up in, believing in the system and striving every day to keep? We best wake up before it's too late. Barack Hussein NObama is one THEIR SIDE and NOT OURS. He's one of them that has voted (when he votes) to raise our taxes to support
support the non-working lazy Americans and the free loading illegals.

Like the old cliche, "The fruit doesn't fall to far from the tree". Cheeks will not be receiving my vote for the 13th District. I don't care if God himself came down from the heavens and asked me to vote for her!
Ms. Granholm, please continue to stay in hiding until your last term is up, you will be remembered as one of the worst leaders the State of Michigan has ever had. Thanks (Sarcastic)for ignoring Detroits problems and watching all these large companies moving and refusing to want to deal with Detroit and their leader......thanks for the jobs! (Sarcastic)
Michigan is ready for some change, and in November I will do my part with the hopes that some new blood and talent is elected into the seats that need change.
Its gonna get worse before it gets better.....I just hope its sooner than later, but with all these companies that have control of everything, they make the contribution to the law makers to pass the laws that protect the companies and not the people.
Wouldn't it be nice if we all had the right to vote for our own pay raises? Its a government that we created through the generation.......all those closed door meetings, and everything that gets slipped in while were asleep at night thinking that we are being protected, but were be slowly bleed to death by our own that are willing to sell thrie souls and integrity........god help us!

A PRAYER FOR ALL SEASONS

The Democrats are my shepherd; I shall not want.
They leadeth me to stilled factories and abandoned farms.
They restoreth my doubt about the future.
They anointeth my wages with taxes and inflation;
My expenses runneth over my income.
Surely poverty and hard living shall follow
And I shall work on a rented farm forever.

Five thousand years ago, Moses said,'Pack up your camel,
Pick up your shovel, move your BLEEP, and I will lead you
To the promised land'.

Five thousand years later, Franklin Delano Roosevelt said,
'Lay down your shovel, sit on your BLEEP, light up a camel,
This is the promised land'.

This year, the Democrats will take your shovel, sell your
Camel, kick your BLEEP and tell you they gave away the promised land.

I'm glad I am an American. I'm glad I am free. Sometimes though,
I wish I were a dog, And all Democrats were trees.

I'm an independent myself. I learned years ago that ALL candidates say what they think we want to hear. We find out what they're really made of once they get elected. What I can't get is HOW THESE LOSERS KEEP GETTING RE-ELECTED!!! SCREW ME ONCE, SHAME ON YOU. SCREW ME TWICE, SHAME ON ME!! (Granholm, Kilpatricks and Raymond 'what's his name'- wayne county treasurer, to name a few.)

No shirt? No tie? No problem.

Michigan Republican Mike Rogers returned to the House floor in shorts and sandals to take his turn at the podium, as the Republican talkathon continues on the House floor, hours after the chamber formally recessed for the week.

Looking like he was ready for the links in a pair of cargo shorts and a short-sleeve shirt, Rogers said he was preparing to drive back to Michigan when he pulled a U-turn and headed back into town.

"I had gotten in my car to drive home and I realized I didn't have enough money to pay for the first tank of gas," said Rogers.

Republican Rep. Rob Bishop of Utah was also spotted on the House floor in shorts and sandals.

Rep. Kevin Brady returned to thunderous applause when it was announced he had gotten off of a plane right before takeoff in order to deliver a speech. He said the day had turned things completely upside down.

"Normally they clap when I am leaving here with my bags packed," he said with a laugh. "Not the other way around."

As of 3:30, the speeches continued, with no sign of letting up.

We are Proud of the Republicans for taking a stand for Americans, Time to turn the lights out on democrats in November

Oh, yeah, it's all the Democrats fault. Let's try this...get rid of all the Democrats....elect only Republicans....then when nothing' s really changed, I want to see who you blame then!!
Have you checked the White House the last 8 yrs? Hello?
Jeb Bush was against offshore drilling, & so was Senator McCain until now that it's become a wedge issue.

I'm sick of the countries that we depend on for foreign oil & willing to give offshore drilling a chance with some hesitation. It's a bit of a gamble, as noone knows for sure how much is there or if it would be enough to sustain our endless addiction to it.

The other problem is where will all of this newfound oil get refined? Go down to Port Arthur Texas & see how the pollution has affected the people's health.

My guess is you all are ok with offshore drilling so long as it's not done in your backyard?! or refined there!
It's time to get off of oil (er, did you see what just happened on the Mississippi River?) Or maybe you just think the polluted air & water all of us are exposed to is ok? No need to change it?
Michigan has been in the pits for a very long time, due to the auto industry's endless capacity to cough up inferior product. And that's Pelosi's fault ?

hello cracrjack:
I feel your pain. But just for some balance & fairness regarding illegals & politicians.....Senator McCain wants to give them a path to citizenship, or have you not heard him say it. Huh? I'd give the illegal ones a path right back where they came from.
Also, shudder to think about raising taxes, how do you suppose we are to balance the budget, particularly with the debt this never ending war in Iraq is racking up? Any ideas there? If wasteful spending in DC isn't cut out,(too long to go into here), then the only choices are to raise taxes, or, keep running a deficit.
So if Senator Obama gets elected & if taxes get raised (please no more taxes) then ask bush about this war.
On the other hand, if Obama does become president, it will be interesting to see if he keeps this one pledge to give the middle class a tax break & increase taxes to the wealthy. Have you got a problem with that idea?
