I have to say people are really losing the right to be called human.  This poor man was laying there dying after being hit by a truck, and people are out there taking his food, instead of helping him stay alive. Gee what's wrong with this picture? What goes around comes around and these idiots will pay. I hope the get sick from the food and feel guilty. They deserve to. As for the driver of the truck, I hope they catch this person soon or they turn themselves in.

It's disgusting. It's starting to look like a third world country out in the streets. People snatching groceries while a man lays there dieing and not helping is just so low words can't describe it.

I agree 100 %. I say the police should be allowed to shoot these people.

Isn't that what they do in the 3rd world countries? I've also heard that they cut fingers off for this too.

there are so many case trials out there where people literally get away with murder, that these criminals keep doing what they do, because why not? others have done crimes and gotten away with them, so why not me? its a sorry excuse, but it is what has become reality....Karma's a bich and these people are low life scum now and will be for a very long time....judgment day will suck for them. God rest that mans soul, I hope they find this guy and throw the book at him.....the old book, not the new way book!

I was absolutly appalled by this story today, how the hell do you justify STEALING from an old man while he lies there DYING. I have to wonder what kind of values your parents taught you to beable to live with yourself doing a horrid thing like.
Human garbage like that do not deserve live.

Stories like this make me realize how selfish humans can be.
I pray that man comes back to haunt each and every one of them.

I live in mesa & I am looking to GET OUT. This happened not far from where I live. If you ask me, mesa is circling the bowl. The sad thing is, by driving around in the area I'm NOT surprised by this event. At that corner (mesa dr & Broadway) there is a circle K where illegals wait for day labor work. I guess it happened at night & it gets WORSE then. I used to run long distance after work. I switched to a 24 hr fitness!!

This world is what we have made of it and it is a very sad place indeed. This story made me sick to my stomach. Man's inhumanity to man is never a comfortable thing to confront and we all need to take a good look at how we live our lives and what kind of things we are doing. You never know when the good Lord will call you home. He is at peace. Now it is our duty to do our best to make sure no one dies in vain.

This happened on Main & Horne, nowhere near Mesa Dr and Broadway. Don't be shocked. The area in which this tragedy happened in the center of Mesa's illegal Mexican problem. Those roaches don't care about anyone but themselves. I'm surprised these people didn't rip the clothes off his back while he lay there dying.

Mean--Although I am appauled by what happened, I am equally appauled by your reference to the Mexicans as "roaches". I live in that neighborhood and I am a white woman. No one has any idea who took that man's groceries in terms of their legality, but to lump all Mexicans into a generalized group is wrong. There are a lot of good people here who are ashamed, disgusted, and saddened that this happened. In the Mexican culture, family is VERY important. Please do not group the good with the bad.

You really have no idea who stole the groceries? Considering he had just come from Rancho Grande market? A market that no white, black or Asian people shop at? Come on, wake up. This man's groceries were stolen by Mexicans. They are the only people who hang in that area. If you TRULY live in this neighborhood, you know that.

I happen to shop at Rancho Grande and AM white and AM a resident of this neighborhood. Also, I am NOT the only white person to shop there. There are other ethnic groups that live in this area also. I've seen them. I was not there at the accident site to witness any of this. If I had been, I would have been to busy administering first aid and CPR until the rescue squad arrived to see who else was doing what. It very well could have been other Mexicans or it could have been the homeless or crack addicts that come through regularly. Again, I don't know. None of us were there. My only point is please don't lable all of them by the bad actions of some of them.

Hi I am a spice. I have 4 children and 1 grandchild. I grew up here in the valley and have seen a lot of changes. I enjoy camping with my family, travelling to see other places just to see what is out there. My family is the most important thing in my life. My baby is in the USAF and I am so proud of her. My other kids chose college and that I am proud of also. I guess you can say I am a family woman. LOL
