Is it just me or do you all wonder what the heck the majority of Detroiters are thinking by electing Mayor's who should not even run a kool aid stand.  How about this since you like to throw your money away on your Mayors life style and Michigan Lottery!  I will set up a PO Box and you can just send me the money you waste on your Detroit Taxes.  I will invest it in good Michigan companies and then retire and live like the Mayor of Detroit.

The next thing we need to do is move Detroit Tigers out of downtown along with the Red Wings and put them somewhere on the East side or North out of the city and then we will have no reason anymore to have to go to Detroit!  Don't think I forgot the Lions you can have them they are run as well as the city has been, hey maybe we can get Ford to be the next mayor of Detroit while he owns the Lions and then it will all make sense!

OH one last  thought if Kwame went to College on the United Negro Foundation grant he have to pay it back with interest.  We all know it did him absolutely no good.  He using all the hip hop gangst BLEEP he learned from the street or from watching MTV Crips!

What are you thoughts on my thoughts!

Please see the memo below about finally getting approval from the courts to start collecting signatures to recall local Macomb and Wayne representitives who raised our taxes.  And the chance to get the worse offender that loves to raise taxes, Andy Dillon.  Now's your chance instead of talking and blogging about it to do something about it!  And you should also sign up for free to get the Michigan Recalls updates.

Recall Granholm? Learn more... Recall 2008 - Join Now! Donate to a Recall Dear Doug,

We just won several very important legal battles.

On Friday, January 18th, judges in Wayne and Macomb County ruled that citizen’s recall petition language was, indeed, clear and that citizens were now free to exercise their constitutional right to recall their representatives from office. See the Detroit Free Press story here.

We won. The law was always on our side, even when the county boards of canvassers ruled against us. What do these legal victories mean? It means we have until May 1st to collect enough signatures to recall several lawmakers responsible for the 12% higher state income tax you’ll pay this year and the 22% higher business tax that job providers will have to pay if they stay in Michigan.

Although Michigan Recalls is assisting with recall efforts against almost a dozen politicians, please allow me to focus some of your attention on one: House Speaker Andy Dillon (D-Redford Twp.). Why? Because Speaker Dillon has been the architect of, and/or hatchet man for, nearly every bad idea in Lansing for several years. Shall we count the ways?:

Speaker Dillon led the legislature into supporting the 12% income tax hike on you.

Speaker Dillon led the legislature into supporting the 22% business tax hike on employers.

Speaker Dillon led the legislature into increasing state General Fund spending for 2008 by over 8%.

Speaker Dillon led the legislature into increasing state spending for state lawmakers’ 2008 budget by over 7%.

Speaker Dillon co-authored Governor Granholm’s failed 21st Century Jobs Fund back in 2005. The 21st CJF borrowed future tax revenues (at 40 cents on the dollar) so that a panel of government “experts” could give the money to preferred businesses that these bureaucrats thought might create Michigan jobs. Turns out, much of the money went to organizations with professional grant-writers (like public universities) and not to budding entrepreneurs.

Speaker Dillon also has promoted some weirdish ideas that (thankfully) never became law. Like his brilliant idea of selling utility companies monopoly rights in Michigan. Dillon proposed utility company’s purchase exclusive rights to sell to Michigan consumers, and the legislature would then ban that utility company’s competitors from doing business in Michigan.

Or his lamest idea ever – the infamous iPod debacle. Remember that one? Speaker Dillon was flown to California last year by Apple Incorporated for an all-expenses-paid trip and, upon returning, declared at a press conference that every Michigan student should have a taxpayer-paid iPod! Dillon denied the idea ever existed after Michigan was made a national laughingstock over the incident.

Yep, you can ignore Speaker Andy Dillon but he won’t be ignoring your wallet this year. Every month you will have less money thanks to his leadership in the House. No wonder the Speaker has earned the nickname, “Andy Dillon, the Taxpayer’s Villain”!

Fortunately for Michigan taxpayers (and unfortunately for Andy Dillon), a long-time taxpayer hero lives in Dillon’s district: Rose Bogaert. Rose Bogaert has chaired the Wayne County Taxpayers Association since the early 1980’s and is the sponsor of the effort to recall Speaker Andy Dillon from office. Rose, and other citizens of the 17th House District, will soon begin collecting the nearly 9,000 signatures needed to force an August 5th recall election of Speaker Dillon. If you live in the 17th state House District, you can help collect signatures.

If you don’t live in Redford or Dearborn Heights, you can help by donating to Michigan Recalls. Your contribution pays for flyers, petitions, office supplies, petition training, and professional volunteer organizers. Heck, Speaker Dillon has already cost you (an average of) $220 this year thanks to the income tax hike alone. His business tax hike will cost you even more as the tax is passed down to customers. Maybe his business tax hike will cost you your business or your job. Get even with Speaker Andy Dillon for costing you by costing him his job!

Donate online at: http://www.michiganrecalls.com/donate.html

Or mail a check to: Michigan Recalls, 46116 Lookout Drive, Macomb, MI 48044

Contributions are not tax deductible (that would be too sweet of an irony!).

Friends, no Speaker has ever been recalled from office in the history of the United States (that I can find). No Speaker has deserved it more than Andy Dillon. Lets make history!
