Does anyone use Internet Explorer 7?  I know many use Firefox.  I am having a small issue with IE7, just an annoyance factor.  Whenever I am here at this site and I use the middle mouse button to open a page in a new tab, sometimes it does it twice.  This does not happen anywhere else, just the Fox 2 blogs.

 

Tabbing is important to me as I have dial up and I can open different blogs while I am still reading the first so I don't have to wait for them to load.

Virus scan is OK.  Let me know if this happens to you.  Let me know if there is a workaround.

Wished I could help you on that Sarge . I've had slow openings and such before on here , but not the double tab thing . Sometimes my mouse wont scroll the page using the wheel as well .

i hate 7 i took it out you can remove it from your program list and it will default back to 6

I have had the same problem at times, Sarge; I also noticed since I uploaded IE 7, my browser freezes up once in awhile when I try to go online, making me send those irritating error report messages. I have thought about doing what Colt said & going back to IE 6.

SARGE I NEVER HAD THE ISSUES YOU HAD BUT I TO HEARD THAT FIREFOX WAS BETTER ,SO AFTER VIEWING YOUR BLOG I TRIED IT , ITS ALSO GOOD TO HAVE 2 BROWSERS IN CASE A VIRUS ATTACKS YOUR INTERNET EXPLORER WHICH YOU WOULDN'T HAVE A BROWSER TO TRY TO PURGE THE VIRUS , IT ALSO HAS SPELL CHECK SO WHEN IM COMMENTING ON SOMEONES BLOG I CAN CORRECT MY SPELLING PLUS ITS MUCH FASTER ON THIS BLOG THEN I,E, 7 . I EMAILED SHOCK ABOUT THIS AND HES GOING TO LOOK INTO IT , FIREFOX HAS ALL KINDS OF COOL ADD ON'S TO

BEFORE I DOWNLOADED FIREFOX I HAD TO TYPE MY COMMENTS ON A WORD PAD AND COPY AND PASTE IN THE PERSONS BLOG , NOW I DO IT RIGHT IN THE PERSONS BLOG PAGE WINDOW

Thanks Mikey, I found the problem that I was having. Microsoft website says IE7 needs to be uninstalled before installing Windows service pack 3. I didn't know this so I had to unistall both the reinstall Service pack 3 and then reinstall IE7. It would have been nice if Microsoft would have informed of that before installing SP3. I had to look it up on their website.

I also found out that Firefox is a good browser but it still uses IE in the background (A tech told me) So if a virus did get in, you probably couldn't use firefox to fix it. I keep an extra copy of IE if I have a problem I can uninstall and reinstall.

CAN I JUST DOWNLOAD IE 7 TO MY DESKTOP AND NOT INSTALL IT AND THEN I CAN TRANSFER A COPY TO MY EXTERNAL HARD DRIVE SO I HAVE IT , IF I GET A VIRUS I USUALLY WIPE NOT FORMAT THE HARD DRIVE , THAT WAY IM SURE THE VIRUS IS OUT , THE H.D STARTS OUT AS A RAW H.D , I GOT THE WIPE DISC FROM THE I.T GUY AT WHERE I WORK

I am married with two kids. I like hunting, fishing and the shooting sports. I am born and raised in northern Michigan and moved down here to the city in 1999 to receive better wages. I am a Centrist. I vote for whom I feel will be the best candadate; Libertarian, Republican or Democrat. I believe free trade is a good thing, only when the playing field is level. China is not a level playing field. "Competeing" with China is just a lie to try to silence true Americans. It is not possible to "compete" with China when their labor, environmental laws are non existent. The use of tax breaks for business's to send jobs overseas and creating the path for business to do the same is traitorous and should be abolished.
