WHO DO U KISS ON NEW YEARS EVE?

Well you know I am a little kiss-obsessed! I am wondering what you think about the etiquette rules that apply for kissing your friends at the stroke of midnight on New Years Eve.....!

I have been the "touchy-feely" type for as long as I can remember, but I know some of you aren't.

Soooooo........do you kiss? Do you hug? Do you just stand there and sing Auld Lang Syne??

Well I'm a kisser after a few..lol but sense it's just hubby, kids and me hubby gets kisses and kids huggies. But in the pat when I was single it was kisses for everyone..lol

Well, I would kiss my husband but he will be working until 11 and then he is high tailing it to a friend's house. Looks like I will be kissing my dog. LOL

I knew what you meant ServantofChrist! Your comment was sooo sweet...it's neat to see a man who is comfortable hugging his male friends. I wish you and your lovely bride a wonderful New Year!

Connie....awwwwhhhhh! Well, at least your doggie will feel the love in the air at New Years! LOL!

This will be our first New Years away from my children (they will only be a mile down the road), and I will miss them...even though they are usually asleep by midnight. Every year, I hug them and we have a little laugh about saying "see ya next year!". Wow, I love my Faith and Luke.....I'm getting sad just thinking about them not being right with me at New Years...!

welllll... years ago it was fun, but now some of the guys are just huvering around so they can try ta kiss ya at midnite, some are like ...ewwwwwwwwww ya know...so i play it safe and stay outta public now..stay home, and dont even have to baby sit this year, the grandbabies are at their other gmaws

I think everyone is different for a variety of reasons...I don't have an issue with a friendship kiss and hug. For me though there is an approprate time for it all. I have a male friend that I don't see a great deal and we hug when we do see each other. We have shared some grief together that make us close.

For New Years Eve I think whatever works for ones own affection is right...people generally know and have a feel for "doing the right thing." Of course unless induced by the joy juice then everything is thrown out the window.

Cricky, you don't kiss on your doggies? I thought you of all people would! But maybe from your vet experiences you realize the germs that are there? (I will admit that I kiss Rosie...chihuahua Rosie!....all the time!)
It's been so long since we've been out in public on New Years that I don't remember if any strangers ever tried to kiss me at midnight. That would be strange! But I will gladly hug and kiss the people I love, even if it's just a cheek kiss. Nightpanther, do you want a lipstick print on your cheek??

Bill01...now ya have me curious of why you won't see your wife for a year?

Figman...you are the nicest person. Wish you and the Mrs.Figman were coming out to the party! Call my cell so I can beg you a little about that....! I am cleaning house right now, but I have a new little bluetooth device attached to my ear, and I scrubbed the bathtub and talked to Jana at the same time a little while ago. I love it!!

New years is the only night of the year my 4 year old will be allowed to stay up past bedtime, so if he makes it to midnight I'll be kissing him! I just keep thinking in 12 years or so the last place he'll want to be on new years eve is hanging out with mom, and he sure won't wanna be smoochin on me at midnight.
