Our panel this week discussed Sharon McPhail's recent comments equating the fifties persecution of the Rosenbergs to the prosecution of Mayor Kilpatrick on perjury charges. They also commented on the U.S. Supreme Court's landmark ruling outlining a citizen's constitutional right to own guns.

I find very little value in this TV segment. The news commentators talk over the guest (in this case Sharon McPhail) and the viewer cannot hear what "anyone" is saying. You need to "RIP" this segment off the air.

I couldn't understand most of what was said because they were all talking at the same time. One thing I can say is Sharon Mcphile doesn't have a clue when it come's to how the people of Detroit feel about our crocked mayor.

Sam was right. McPhail is "out to lunch". The trademark banter over one another ala Jerry Springer wears on me a bit. But the Let It Rip style is a lot bettter than the potted plant approach of other station talk shows.

I appreciate a discussion group with intelligent guest who are willing to discuss issues, get slightly heated, yet still say "have a good night" to each other.

And thank you Sam for trying to tell people not all Detroiters think a lying, cheating, money & fame hungry mayor is a good thing!

Oh knock it off McPhail. Quit blaming the media, tainted jury pools, political motives, etc. KK shot himself in both of his feet when he admitted the texts were his and gave his grand "nothing" apology at the church.......both on tv/video for all to see. You`re just making yourself look more foolish by the day.

When KK publically incriminated himself after coming out of seclusion at the mansion it was Mcphail who had been advising him along with thr rest of the posse that met with him in hiding. She can blame herself and stop reaching into history for excuses.

Mcphail once accused KK of trying to electricute her. LOL. Tallman says, maybe he has something on her. I say, what does she have on him to get the position she has? I don`t know how she has the nerve to sit there and defend KK.

Not the best Let It Rip segment.

Now Mama Cheeks-Kilpatrick is complaining her sons mess is affecting her run for re-election, but she still says he shouldn`t resign and she will win anyway.

With her calling for him to stay in office she is proving she is not worthy of her office either. What is right doesn`t matter to her. It appears her only concern is for her family`s minor political dynasty to continue. I caught hint of the Kilpatrick arrogance and the over blown view they have of themselves when KK came out of hiding proclaiming he was still in control. ( as if the City/region would go into a major panic should he step down. lol) You could tell it was mama and her DC office advising him. That`s the advice one would give the President in crisis......assure the people. It`s not the advice you give a mere mayor who`s done wrong. Throw in Mcphail and her legal advice from the beginning and you end up with a team grasping at straws hoping the public is to stupid to see through it.

That's the kind of parenting that tells kids it's ok if you lie or commit crimes! WHEN YOU SEE THEM THE DIZZY SCREAMING MAMAS COLLECTING THEIR KID FROM THE POLICE STATION
OH NO NOT MY SON???
PRIME EXAMPLE POOR PARENTING!!!!!! And those kids grow up to be GOOD FOR NOTHING BUT CRIMES OF ANY KIND AND NO RESPECT FOR ANYBODY ANYWHERE!!

I bring up the "Y'alls Boy" comment everytime I can think of it...I wonder if some of the funds on the credit card were for the hotel stays with Christine?
Also...if you're a parent..could you imagine over 14,000 text messages! You would have taken your kids phone away a long time ago!
