I have tried hard to understand the defense and sympathy for KK.   I am at a lost to understand it.  This man has done so many things that has violated the trust of the people he has sworn to serve. This man has displayed no character, morally challenged, unethical, lacking in integrity and not an honest person. I am not interested in the txts from the stand point that he was having an affair who cares.  Everyone involved happen to be adults (not even his wife seems to care who sleeps with) that is obivous he had several relationships before Christine and has had at least one that we know of since.  If it was only the sex then we could say he is just an immoral man and not a good mayor. However, we have the misuse of city funds to pay for your escapades on the city, used the city credit card for over $280,000 and only paid back $9,000, leased a luxury suv for your wife, lied and finally said it was miscommunication, you help your girlfriend obtain an illegal mortgage and tried to hide that by creating false documents, lied under oathabout the affair and  firing of city employees for doing their jobs and entered into a secret agreement to cover up this whole debachle. This is by no means an all inclusive list there are so many more things.  I do not understand the loyalty, WRONG is WRONG and he deserves to be treated like he has acted.  As for his wife and family, he should have thought about them when he was doing what he did.  I have read where people are saying his wife must be in living in hell.  Everyone in prison has someone that loves them and is suffering because of their incarceration. I will save my sympathy for the real victims, the family of the officers that have lost their jobs, the residents of Detroit that have no choices, the residents that have to send their children to schools that are not good enough for his children (they should attend DPS schools), the residents that have to pay taxes for inferior city services and are still expected to forgive and look the other way.

Know if the Michigan Bar Association has taken his license to practice law?
He keeps mentioning 'God' in all his defenses on his actions but still trying to figure out why 'God' didn't play a role in his testimony. Isn't it you swear to tell the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth so help you 'God'? Even if 'God' forgives him, that is not for us to say, that is between him and God. I was taught that we are created in God's image and likeness and are here to become more like Him. How not accepting responsibility for his action by setting an example of the accountability we all have in life achieves that I am clueless. It definitely shows me there are two standards of accountability in our system. Would any of us be walking so freely if we committed perjury? Bet if he was the lawyer for the other side of the case even he would prosecute us.

I absolutely agree with you 100 percent!!! As I do feel sorry for this mans wife and children, my heart really goes out to the officers fired for no other reason than for doing their jobs and to their families. Kwame owes them a public apology for destroying their jobs, lives and putting their families through hell. I truley cannot believe ANYONE would feel sorry for this man !! We should all feel empathy for the true victims here !!

Well it's quite apparent to me that most people don't share my views on Kwame and the media. But I still believe that the media has an undue influence on the debate and that they use a number of tactics in order to shape the news and form opinions about the topics that they cover sometimes. Back to Kwame, it is no doubt that he has given the city a black eye, by his reprehensible behavoir. But to try and connect him to the murder of T. Grenn is ludicrious. The media has tryed for over five years? (dead horse), to connect the dots but so far they have not suceeded. What does it take for them to give up on a story? This potratyal of the possible connections Kwame has to T. Green is motivated by a ratings grab and that's all. Futhermore, where is the outrage from the citizens about the amount of money awarded to these officers, and their attorney. Kwame was wrong to fire these officers So it's ok to make them millionaries along with their attorney, I don't think so. Nevermind the fact that the jury was not a cross section of the members of our community, hello! People are complaning about the money the tax payers like you and I have to pay, but don't question the size of the award . Yes they officers deserve some compensation for losing rtheir jobs and having ttheir reputations bemirsched , but not the amount that they received. With all the problems we have in Detroit ,from teenage pregancy, murders, drugs, unemployment (youths and adults), the media is missing in action. The reporting is yellow journalism, where the appeal is only on the sensational, celebrity wors
