Ungrateful bastur-s. it's time we stop worring about the rest of the world , we have more than our share of proplems here , with war, gas , homeless, and people starving here, it's time we tell the rest of the world to go to hell. You damn straight. When it was a problem with the poor and indigent suffering losses due to the Katrina storm, we and everyone else did what we could to help.....

but.....

when it came to suddenly being a racial problem, we said we want no part of it and quit caring about it altogether.

A lot of people who are anti-military don't realize how much our military and coast guard do around the world. Earthquakes, tsunamis, hurricanes and other disasters. We're even teaching China how to police the olympics because they don't have a clue about security. They hate us, but the first time something goes wrong in their country they're screaming, "Where are the Americans? Where are the food supplies? Where is their medicine?"
Getting kind of old isn't it?

What burned our arses about Katrina is that the Government issued debit cards in the amounts of $2500.00 to those who were stricken by the Katrina storm. People there beeched about why the government was responsible for not having the levee's prepared, yet many, many reports came back that those debit cards were used to buy jewelry, electronics and even liquor and design clothing. When questioned, many, many of them said it was not their fault, it was again, the fault of the government. Why didn't they buy food for their children? Many, many said that it was the governments responsibility to provide food, water, and assistance.
When the military was finally sent in to help, many, many refused their help because they did not want to return to the houses they had lived in, but preferred staying in the new trailers provided by the government.

Well, do you want fkn help or are you going to spend the rest of your life sitting on your backsides begging assistance from this government?

When does the handouts to people who are not in need, STOP?

Mid- When we stop electing democrats who dream up these handouts, all in the name of bettering our people, and creating a more equal society.
I learned when I was a kid, if I accepted money or help from my parents, I had to accept what was given, and how it should be used-no questions or complaints please!
How dare anybody who is given help demand what kind of help and how much.

Cat, no doubt.
We worked as farm laborers as kids for all our older neighbors as we were 3 strapping, healthy, strong farm boys. One neighbor not only used us to bail all his hay for the summer, but we milked, cleaned his entire barn, planted and brought crops to market. Him and his wife were immigrants from Germany, and when the summer was over, the presented my older brother with $20.00. That was for 3 boys for all that work, for 5 months of our lives.
My Grandpa (an immigrant from Germany) heard about it, and came over, and then said, "it was to much for the boys". We took it, accepted it for what it was, and said nothing about it as per the family's rules.

11 years later, my younger brother and I bought that old farmstead, had the volunteer fire department burn the house, barn and 3 small side buildings on it, buried the remains in a large hole, leveled the land, and fenced it off. We used that 194 acres of land for our hunting for us, but for my family and friends who also hunted. We've turned loose over 2000 pheasants since 1980, have had the 4H release 400 wild turkeys and have watched it progress into a nice little home hunting preserve. Sadly, my younger brother died in October of 05 and the land is all mine.

See what $20.00 did back in 1968? Well, I guess it was more like $6.66 cents for each of us, but look what ideas it formed.

Now, if half of the Katrina residents would take the government money and put it to use as we have, we wouldn't be on this blog thread, would we Cat1234?
