Blame? If you want to talk economics, talk economics. Why put crime and murder rates into the mix? As if all representatives and senators are to blame for crime.If I remember right, police and schools are part of the basic infrastructure that the republicans have long put on the bottom of lists of priorities, way below tax breaks for big corporations who have CEO's raking in the million dollar bonuses. Federal money for such infrastructures has not been a priority,it didn't and still doesn't matter to them. Until the last election, the decisions on a federal level were controlled by the republicans, so you mean to tell me, in the last 4 yrs, the numbers all went in a different direction?
So yes, they can be blamed. That is, the republicans that have ran the country for the last 20-30 yrs. in the white house and the senate and congress. That is fact as well.
What sets Chicago aside from other big cities with regard to the numbers? How many other state have high taxes? How many other states have failing schools? (way too many). Don't say it doesn't matter about the others since they don't have senators from their states running for president.
