You couldn't get a job at McDonalds and become district manager after 143 days of experience.

You couldn't become chief of surgery after 143 days of  experience of being a surgeon.

You couldn't get a job as a teacher and be the superintendent after 143 days of experience.

You couldn't join the military and become a colonel after a 143 days of experience.

You couldn't get a job as a reporter and become the nightly news anchor after 143 days of experience.

You couldn't get a job as Director of Nursing after 143 days experience as an RN   !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

BUT....
'From the time Barack Obama was sworn in as a United State Senator, to the time he announced he was forming a Presidential exploratory committee, he logged 143 days of experience in the Senate. That's how many days the Senate was actually in session and working.  After 143 days of work experience, Obama believed he was ready to be Commander In Chief, Leader of the  Free World ... 143 days.

We all have to start somewhere. The senate is a good start, but after 143 days, that's all it is - a start.

AND, strangely, a large sector of the American  public is okay with this and campaigning for him. We wouldn't accept this in our own line of work, yet some are okay with this for the President of the United States of America?  Come on folks, we are not voting for the next American Idol!!!

OUTSTANDING JAX.....I LOVE YOU AS SHOCK WOULD SAY, but now in a RAINBOW sense of the word..
LOL

143 days. Isn't that a crying shame that people would vote in an inexperienced person to run the largest free world country, and they laugh about it. It's a sad state of affairs Jax when people stand up and outright state that they'll vote for a certain person because of the color of his skin!!!!!!

SOME PEOPLE ARE SMART ENOUGH TO SKIP A FEW GRADES BECAUSE THEY HAVE THE COMMON SENSE TO KNOW WHEN THE WORLD NEEDS BETTER LEADERSHIP. YOU DON'T HAVE TO BE AN OIL TYCOON AND HAVE BILLIONS OF DOLLARS TO FIGURE THAT OUT. YOU NEED TO UNDERSTAND THAT OBAMA AND BIDEN TRULY CARES FOR OUR CHILDREN. SOMETHING TELLS ME YOUR GLUTTON FOR PUNISHMENT IF YOU VOTING FOR MCBLAND AND BULLDOG IN A SKIRT? HA! MORE LIKE CRY BABY WITHOUT A CLUE.

McCain picked a woman for one reason only and thats to gain votes from woman themselves but woman or not he is not the one i would vote for him and im a woman. when barack was asked about palins pregnant daughter he simply stated that the families of the candidates has nothing to do with polotics but he makes a comment about lipstick on a pig and all of a sudden hes mean that just goes to show what hypocrits mccain and palin are

But you would rather have the like of someone like McCain. He's been a follower the entire time he's been in government. He rides on the coattail of everything that George does. If you think that is a leader then I got some land I want to sell you. I'll take my chances with an unproven rookie than an old follower.

GBPDETROIT?

How dare you make that statement that you'd rather take your chances with an uproven rookie than an old follower?

Did you say that on your post on September 9 "who wants to be mayor"??? Isn't this what you posted in your blog thread?
(quote)
Now Hiring: An energetic, skillful, and intelligent individual is needed for a very important position. Some of the qualifications desired are the ability to lead a city without getting into trouble.
(unquote)

So what part of two faced are you? In one post you state that you want someone who is energetic, skillful and intelligent for something as a Mayor of a city, yet then you turn around and state you would rather risk taking a chance on an unskillful, unintelligent rookie against someone who has had the experience?

What is it, GBPDETROIT?
Which side of the coin are you?
Which side of the rail do you ride?
Which number on the dice are you?
Which BLEEP are you willing to feed us now?

So GPBDETROIT, would you rather have a energetic rookie surgeon working on your brain tumor or an older experienced surgeon?

Would you rather have a rookie mechanic work on your vehicle because he's got zits, but full of piss and vinegar instead of an older qualified mechanic?

Would you rather have you sons taught by a rookie at school who doesn't know that there isn't 58 states, or an older professor thats been to all "50"?????

You can't figure that out, can you. On one hand you rebute my analogies, but on the other hand, you'd rather vote for an individual that has only 143 seated days in Congress against a older gentleman who's been there for 26 years, and you're willing to put up a individual who never spent a single ounce of honor in joining the military, against a man that was not only an officer in the military, but a POW?

You had better kiss your son's, because they day you vote for the inexperienced one, is the day you'll be kissing the world's AZZ....

Hey detroit girl. You thought the lipstick thing makes us feel he's mean. (NObama) How about the fact that the Dumbocrats have 30 people (lawyers and reporters) in Alaska right now looking under every rock for some dirt on Palin. By the way NObama is trying to ride on Jimmy (ruin the economy) Carters coat tails.
And Michelle is for the first time proud of her country.

Downriver, I just read an article about the democrats having a small army in Alaska digging into Palin. Obama's forever talking about change, well that sounds like the same old, same old to me.

Then that statement about McCain following his entire career is just plain foolish. Bush was still doing lines and going to keggers when McCain was in congress. McCain career has been marked by periods of crossing party lines to pass bills and blazing his own trail. At least get your facts straight.

Midevil, first of all with a name like that who is going to trust one word that you say. second, in the 26 years of experience what has John wayne McCain done. He ain't even been in a movie. Obama has done more in 143 days than John Wayne has done in 26 years. As for the comments from my blog i did say experienced and I say that because this last mayor was inexperienced. How can you get the experience if you're not given the chance you jackass. Obama can do the job. especially if an idiot like George bush can get two chances to mess things up. and now you want to hire his flunky, you're as dumb as they are. G.B and john Wayne will be having us fighting all over the world. But will you pick up a rifle, no but you'll continue to hide behind that computer and talk big SH#T. You can continue to vote for the same like the Kwamites but not me. Fool me once, your fault fool me twice, my fault. you need to get that message. you think that the job of being president is hard. You dumber than I thought you were, President is just another job in this country. someone else telling you what to do. NOW BEAT IT!!!

gpbdetroit, Lord knows I don't need to speak for Midevil but you don't speak about someones military service on my blog when you don't know what you're talking about. He was Navy and I was Army. Don't ever question anyones service to this country just because they don't agree with your yellow views.

I've lived in and around Detroit most of my life. For many years I worked in steel trades that were involved in automobile manufacture. I changed careers at 35 and received a degree in Electronics Engineering which evolved into broadcast engineering. Do to a stoke and spinal problems I am now disabled and am working at becoming the worlds slowest typist. My mind is still clear though and as I've read I've noticed many of yours are as well.
