I couldn't figure out why would the Congress let some firms go under and then bend over backwards to help others.  This makes sense now!  This sounds almost too logical...Why hasn't it gotten national press coverage?   Remember when this economic crisis hit, and Congress let Bear Sterns go under, pushed a bunch of forced marriages between banks, etc.?   Then they bailed out AIG.  At the time, I thought: "That's strange.
What does an insurance company have to do with this crisis?"
I just found the answer.   Among other things, AIG INSURES THE PENSION TRUST OF THE UNITED STATES CONGRESS!!   No wonder they got bailed out right away!   To hell with the people, let's protect our future, said all our Senators and Congressmen.   Nice to see where their loyalties lie!

NEW PREAMBLE TO THE CONSTITUTION

This is probably the best e-mail I've seen in a long  time. The following has been attributed to State Representative Mitchell Kaye from GA. This guy should run for President one day…

"We the sensible people of the United States, in an attempt to help everyone get along, restore some semblance of justice, avoid more riots, keep our nation safe, promote positive behavior, and secure the blessings of debt-free liberty to ourselves and our great-great-great-grandchildren, hereby try one more time to ordain and establish some common sense guidelines for the terminally whiny, guilt ridden, delusional, and other liberal bed-wetters. We hold these truths to be self evident: that a whole lot of people are confused by the Bill of Rights and are so dim they require a Bill of NON-Rights."

ARTICLE I:  You do not have the right to a new car, big screen TV, or any other form of wealth. More power to you if you can legally acquire them, but no one is guaranteeing anything.

ARTICLE II:  You do not have the right to never be offended. This country is based on freedom, and that means freedom for everyone -- not just you! You may leave the room, turn the channel, express a different opinion, etc.; but the world is full of idiots, and probably always will be.

ARTICLE III:  You do not have the right to be free from harm. If you stick a screwdriver in your eye, learn to be more careful; do not expect the tool manufacturer to make you and all your relatives independently wealthy.

ARTICLE IV:  You do not have the right to free food and housing. Americans are the most charitable people to be found, and will gladly help anyone in need, but we are quickly growing weary of subsidizing generation after generation of professional couch potatoes who achieve nothing more than the creation of another generation of professional couch potatoes.

ARTICLE V: You do not have the right to free health care. That would be nice, but from the looks of public housing, we're just not interested in public health care.

ARTICLE VI: You do not have the right to physically harm other people. If you kidnap, rape, intentionally maim, or kill someone, don't be surprised if the rest of us want to see you fry in the electric chair.

ARTICLE VII: You do not have the right to the possessions of others. If you rob, cheat, or coerce away the goods or services of other citizens, don't be surprised if the rest of us get together and lock you away in a place where you still won't have the right to a big screen color TV or a life of leisure.

ARTICLE VIII: You do not have the right to a job. All of us sure want you to have a job, and will gladly help you along in hard times, but we expect you to take advantage of the opportunities of education and vocational training laid before you to make yourself useful. (AMEN!)

ARTICLE IX: You do not have the right to happiness. Being an American means that you have the right to PURSUE happiness, which by the way, is a lot easier if you are unencumbered by an over abundance of idiotic laws created by those of you who were confused by the Bill of Rights.

ARTICLE X: This is an English speaking country. We don't care where you are from, English is our language. Learn it or go back to wherever you came from! (Lastly....)

ARTICLE XI: You do not have the right to change our country's history or heritage. This country was founded on the belief in one true God. And yet, you are given the freedom to believe in any religion, any faith, or no faith at all; with no fear of persecution The phrase IN GOD WE TRUST is part of our heritage and history, and if you are uncomfortable with it, TOUGH!

They will ban people like Candyo, and cut comments from Mike Y and a host of others and yet allow an anti-Bush post with some disgusting pile of feces on here with no problem. How overtly bias can you get?

The First Amendment,

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

This was just a reminder. I received the following and whether you believe it or not this holds a lot of material that should be read by all.

Jax

Obama is to become our next President in less than a week. There have been over 20 lawsuits across this country that have been brought forward and most have been dismissed over legal issues. Even though this question may be valid, not one judge has decided to hear any one of these cases to date. There are 3 pending cases now at the Supreme Court that are ready for conference and there are many more on their way. Here is a link to all the information you will be able to read that our own media will not even mention: http://www.theobamafile.com/ObamaLatest.htm

These cases are not being presented by Republicans. This is not an issue of one party over the other. This is a concern for ALL Americans of every political sphere. One of these lawyers, Phil Berg in Philadelphia, is a registered Democrat. One woman, Dr. Orly Taitz, is a naturalized citizen who moved here as a young child from the Soviet Union. She is seeing some things that remind her of her prior experiences in the Soviet Union. And that is a silent media who is actively suppressing this information from you, the people. Why?

In the meantime, Obama has hired over 3 law firms and has spent well over a million dollars to prevent his real birth certificate from being seen when all he would have to do is pay $12 for a real long form to be presented to a court to be examined by a certified forensic scientist for validity. Having a certificate of live birth (COLB) posted on line at fight the smears or factcheck.org does not qualify as a true document. He has had his birth certificate, all his school, passport, draft registration, and medical records sealed so that you may not see them or know what they contain. REAL PEOPLE NEED TO ASK WHY HE IS DOING THIS?

Here is a video that you need to see:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xdD3pQnI880

I have been doing my part as a member of the above group to try and make Obama answer this question. I have been writing letters sending faxes, and emailing my state electors, state and national representatives, judges, and the media. I am one of thousands (maybe even hundreds of thousands) of US citizens who have done so over this election cycle. I would have had no problem with him as our next president, if I felt he was eligible to serve.

I am afraid that the last phrase of our first amendment to the
constitution…to petition the government for a redress of grievances will soon be exhausted.

Should Obama be elected next Tuesday without resolving this important issue we WILL have a Constitutional Crisis in this country, By not answering the questions soon, Obama will not have resolved this issue EVEN if he is not required to do so by our Supreme Court Justices.

What does that mean for you and me?

It means that it is highly probable that some of our own military will
refuse to serve under his administration due to the fact that he may not be eligible to be our President under the US Constitution. They may refuse his direct orders as their Commander-in-Chief as they are also pledged to obey him AND the Constitution of the USA. The Constitution would override. In addition, any laws or treaties that Obama signs in to law would not have to be obeyed by citizens or even other countries that suspect that he may be ineligible to be our president. Other countries could decide not to recognize him as an eligible President.

These questions will not go away. They will remain with him through out his entire presidency. But it is not too late for these to be answered. Obama studied to be a Constitutional Lawyer at Harvard and knows if he is or isn’t qualified. You need to ask yourself this... why hasn’t he just answered the simple question?

What is happening to this inauguration? Each day it's getting more and more glitzy. Instead of a presidential inauguration it's becoming an epic. If Charleton Heston was still alive he could play Moses and we'd have a classic. Whoever is producing this must be the guy that ruined the Superbowl. Just my thoughts..

During these tumultuous times, people of all faiths should remember the Four Great Religious Truths:

1. Muslims do not recognize Jews as God's chosen people.

2. Jews do not recognize Jesus as the Messiah.

3. Protestants do not recognize the Pope as the leader of the Christian world.

4. Baptists do not recognize each other at Hooters

I am really disappointed with the direction My Fox Detroit blogs are turning. This blog is a public forum and contains posts as varied in substance and viewpoints as the people who write them.

When I first joined into My Fox the posts were varied and opposing often funny and always interesting. It seems as problems in the country grew with the plummeting economy, war, and the elections so did the depth of passion fueling opinions and the subsequent posts. All seemed as it should.

Then dissension began getting personal, with race baiting, low personal attacks, name calling, and then finally reporting, censorship and getting people banned for strong opinions.

Strong opinions are what make public forums great especially opposing strong opinions. They are the seeds sown by our right to speak freely that allow us to think and grow. If a few harsh words upset you then possibly you are to young chronologically or emotionally to be on a public news forum.

When something as meaningless as someone repeating a particular post several times is cause to report them then maybe you should skip over the repeats and dismiss it as someones adamant way of getting a point across. You don't have to agree with it, you don't even have to read it. Reporting someone is a last ditch effort to quiet that person and for the life of me I can not think of any reason to do that.

If everyone agreed on here I would have left a long time ago. Maybe it's time for a few to stop and take a look at why, as an adult, you can be so frail that a few paragraphs of an informational blog can shake you up so badly that you have to "Tell the teacher cause Johnny is picking on me."

Let's see if we can all play in the same sandbox again...

SIGN IN A WHITING, INDIANA STORE FRONT WINDOW

'WE WOULD RATHER

DO BUSINESS WITH

1000 AL QAEDA TERRORISTS

THAN WITH ONE SINGLE AMERICAN
SOLDIER!'

This sign was prominently displayed in the window of a business in Whiting, Indiana . You are probably outraged at the thought of such an inflammatory statement.

However, we are a society which holds Freedom of Speech as perhaps our greatest liberty.

And after all, it is just a sign.

You may ask what kind of business would dare post such a sign.

Answer: Owen's Funeral Home

(Who said morticians had no sense of humor?)

You gotta love it!!!

...
I cross ocean,
poor and broke,
Take bus,
see employment folk.

Nice man treat me
good in there,
Say I need to
see welfare.

Welfare say,
'You come no more,
We send cash
right to your door.'

Welfare checks,
they make you wealthy,
Medicaid it keep
you healthy!

By and by,
I get plenty money,
Thanks to you,
American dummy.

Write to friends
in motherland,
Tell them 'come
fast as you can.'

They come in turbans
and Ford trucks,
I buy big house
with welfare bucks

They come here,
we live together,
More welfare checks,
it gets better!

Fourteen families,
they moving in,
Bu t neighbor's pati ence
wearing thin.

Finally, white guy
moves away,
Now I buy his house,
and then I say,
'Find more aliens
for house to rent.'
And in the yard
I put a tent.

Send for family
they just trash,
But they, too,
draw the welfare cash!
Everything is
very good,
And soon we
own the neighborhood.

We have hobby
it's called breeding,
Welfare pay
for baby feeding.

Kid's need dentist?
Wife's need pills?
We get free!
We got no bills!

American's crazy!
He pay all year,
To keep welfare
running here.

We think
America
darn good place!
Too darn good for
the white man race.
If they no like us,

they can scram,
Got lots of room in Pakistan .

It is interesting that the federal government provides a
single refugee with a monthly allowance of $1,890.00
and each can also get an additional $580.00 in social assistance for a total of$2,470.00 .

This compares very well to a single pensioner who after contributing to the growth and development of
America for 40 to 50 years can only receive a monthly maximum of $1,012.00 in old age pension and Guaranteed Income Supplement.

Maybe our pensioners should apply as refugees!

Lets send this to all Americans, so we can all be ticked off
and maybe we can get the refugees cut back to
$1,012.00 and the pensioners up to $2,470 00 and enjoy some of the money we were forced to submit to the  Government over the last 40 or 50 years.

Gordon fires entire pit crew

NASCAR NEWS...Jeff Gordon fires his entire pit crew

This announcement followed Gordon's decision to take advantage of the government's scheme to employ Harlem youngsters.

The decision to hire them was brought about by a recent documentary on how unemployed youths from Harlem were able to remove a set of wheels in less than 6 seconds without proper equipment, whereas Gordon's existing crew could only do it in 8 seconds with millions of dollars worth of high tech equipment.

It was thought to be an excellent and bold move by Gordon's management team as most races are won or lost in the pits. However Gordon got more than he bargained for.

At the crew's first practice session, not only was the inexperienced crew able to change all 4 wheels in under 6 seconds, but within 12 seconds they had changed the paint scheme, altered the Vin number, and sold the car to Dale Jr. for 10 cases of Bud, a bag of weed, and some photos of Jeff Gordon's wife in the shower.

I hope Christmas is a moment of peace for you all and turns out to be everything you had hoped this day to be. Good Luck in 2009 as well. There's no where to go but up.

THIS IS A CHRISTMAS TREE, NOTHING ELSE.

This is NOT a Holiday Tree

This is a Christmas tree.
It is not a Hanukkah bush,
It is not an Allah plant,
It is not a Kawanza shrub
It is not a
Holiday hedge.
It is a Christmas tree.
Say it... CHRISTmas , CHRISTmas , CHRISTmas
Yes.
CHRISTmas - celebrating
The
Birth of Jesus Christ!!!
If this offends you...too bad.

Get over it ~

Take a stand and pass this on !!

Jesus is the reason for the season... Amen!!!!!

Merry CHRISTmas to You!

The embers glowed softly, and in their dim light,
I gazed round the room and I cherished the sight.
My wife was asleep, her head on my chest,
My daughter beside me, angelic in rest.
Outside the snow fell, a blanket of white,
Transforming the yard to a winter delight.

The sparkling lights in the tree I believe,
Completed the magic that was Christmas Eve.
My eyelids were heavy, my breathing was deep,
Secure and surrounded by love I would sleep.
In perfect contentment, or so it would seem,
So I slumbered, perhaps I started to dream.

The sound wasn't loud, and it wasn't too near,
But I opened my eyes when it tickled my ear.
Perhaps just a cough, I didn't quite know, Then the
sure sound of footsteps outside in the snow.
My soul gave a tremble, I struggled to hear,
And I crept to the door just to see who was near.

Standing out in the cold and the dark of the night,
A lone figure stood, his face weary and tight.
A soldier, I puzzled, some twenty years old,
Perhaps a Marine, huddled here in the cold.
Alone in the dark, he looked up and smiled,
Standing watch over me, and my wife and my child.

"What are you doing?" I asked without fear,
"Come in this moment, it's freezing out here!
Put down your pack, brush the snow from your sleeve,
You should be at home on a cold Christmas Eve!"
For barely a moment I saw his eyes shift,
Away from the cold and the snow blown in drifts..

To the window that danced with a warm fire's light
Then he sighed and he said "Its really all right,
I'm out here by choice. I'm here every night."
"It's my duty to stand at the front of the line,
That separates you from the darkest of times.

No one had to ask or beg or implore me,
I'm proud to stand here like my fathers before me.
My Gramps died at 'Pearl on a day in December,"
Then he sighed, "That's a Christmas 'Gram always remembers."
My dad stood his watch in the jungles of 'Nam',
And now it is my turn and so, here I am.

I've not seen my own son in more than a while,
But my wife sends me pictures, he's sure got her smile.
Then he bent and he carefully pulled from his bag,
The red, white, and blue... an American flag.
I can live through the cold and the being alone,
Away from my family, my house and my home.

I can stand at my post through the rain and the sleet,
I can sleep in a foxhole with little to eat.
I can carry the weight of killing another,
Or lay down my life with my sister and brother..
Who stand at the front against any and all,
To ensure for all time that this flag will not fall."

"  So go back inside," he said, "harbor no fright,
Your family is waiting and I'll be all right."
"But isn't there something I can do, at the least,
"Give you money," I asked, "or prepare you a feast?
It seems all too little for all that you've done,
For being away from your wife and your son."

Then his eye welled a tear that held no regret,
"Just tell us you love us, and never forget.
To fight for our rights back at home while we're gone,
To stand your own watch, no matter how long.
For when we come home, either standing or dead,
To know you remember we fought and we bled.
Is payment enough, and with that we will trust,
That we mattered to you as you mattered to us."

PLEASE, would you do me the kind favor of sending this to as many
people as you can? Christmas will be coming soon and some credit is due to our
U.S service men and women for our being able to celebrate thes e
festivities. Let's try in this small way to pay a tiny bit of what we owe. Make people
stop and think of our heroes, living and dead, who sacrificed themselves for us.

I've lived in and around Detroit most of my life. For many years I worked in steel trades that were involved in automobile manufacture. I changed careers at 35 and received a degree in Electronics Engineering which evolved into broadcast engineering. Do to a stoke and spinal problems I am now disabled and am working at becoming the worlds slowest typist. My mind is still clear though and as I've read I've noticed many of yours are as well.
