My life is hard enough, I wish sometimes you could come on the board and read a happy story. I'm not trying to take focus off of our city but we have gave Kwame enough attention as well as the city counsil,C.B.,M.C, or any other fools ( I think that Kwame thinks all press is good press).
Something positve?
Something to lift up the citizens of Michigan?

i'm a 26year old female. i live in detroit. i have lived in detroit my entire life (almost). i work two jobs (one as a personal asst. and one as a call center rep). i'm not on welfare. i do not have a house full of kids. i don't have one child to be real. i don't live with my mother and i have not since the age of 21. i come from a well balanced background. i go to on line college ( which i know people put you down for, but there was no money for me to go to school, thanks bush). i have been working in the state since age 15. i am proud to live in the city of detroit. to all you people that think all people that live in my city are on welfare, not true. i will tell the truth after my father was murder on the streets of detroit my family and i were on welfare. my mother went back to college (u of d mercy) so she could support us later. this was over ten years ago that we went through my father's death and welfare. so sometimes welfare is a stepping stone to get up a hill. my mother has now once again went back to school, and has worked for michigan health board for seven years, as a social worker.
