In the paper today there is a quote from the new, rising leader of the taliban,  "give us the power to destroy the white house, London and New York."

Of course it is buried several pages back in section A.

Why does this kind of thing get so little attention?

Because the media in our country feels it is important to address the issues of major snowfalls and politicians creeping around. This is the same way America was caught off guard by 9/11 and if we are not ready the next time, that tragic event may be a firecracker compared to their next attack. The security our country uses like rent-a-cops for the borders & other high-level areas is one major issue that needs to be addressed. Having a deaf ear to the world will crush our ears if we are not prepared.
