Some of you have only seen me occasionally on these blogs. I tend to read them every day, but choose not to give my opinions very often.
This headline in the Detroit News this morning prompted me to write.
DETROIT -- Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick has vetoed a resolution calling for his own ouster, hinting to the City Council that he intends a bruising battle over members' double-barreled effort to force him from office.
The article is long, but this was the way it started out. KK then makes this statement:
"Kilpatrick also warned that the City Council's decision to ask the governor to intervene also could put their jobs at risk in the future. "
YA THINK?!
What a ridiculous disaster. The article also stated that there will probably be a re-vote, which means that six of the Council members will have to vote to override the veto. Like THAT will ever happen! Someone has to take hold and rid Detroit of it's criminal activity.
I just shake my head when I read this stuff.
