So...as my profile states, I bought my first home in the city...mainly because I want to make a difference in the city I love...BUT THIS IS RIDICOULOUS!!!

This year's tax accessment actually stated I my houses value increased $1500 last year!!!

BUT...I had an appraisal done in October...I lost $40,000 in equity!!

I tried to appeal to the city, and made all 3 of my appointments (which of course meant I used my vacation time)...However, they just said "NOPE!".

So, I am on to argue with the state about this mess.

But I still think they need the extra $$$ to help pay for all their friends mediocre work for the city....along with the numerous lawsuits we have had to pay for!

They all said only a fool would pay the taxes in Detroit...I may be a fool, and I may be an angry fool...BUT I am in the same boat as many...so hopefully if/when the opportunity comes to help the city government...they will take my help!
