I understand the need to come up with plans for clean energy but at what cost? The solar energy plant in CA is huge, it takes a million+ gallons of water a year to operate. Uses 2000 achers of land, and produces 1% of the energy for FPL. Now that is alot of land and water for 150 megawatts of energy. Concervation is the idea behind clean energy and I am led to ask what are we conseving? Not land, nor water and for as little eletric as they put out not energy. So I have come to the conclution it is air and some ones pocket book as we would have to strip all forrest, and brush around them so they would get maximum sunlight to produce. http://www.fplenergy.com/portfolio/solar/facts.shtml
a>

2000 achers for 1% of an energy plants eletric. It would take 200,000 achers to supply the full power level of 100% and 100million+ gallons of water to run. Now to power the whole of our country by wind, solar and hydro it would take how much land and water? I am seeing problems already with this plan. Hydro makes sense as it harnesses water flowing in its natural habitat but solar seems to need alot of land and water that is unusable for anything else. We have been using hydro power plants for years but the solar and wind make me wonder.
Years ago we use to be able to by wind power machines for our yards until the government and power plants found out it cut into their taxes and profits and outlawed them. If left legal at some point we would have had enough in yards to cut most of our dependence on alternate energy. So we have the government to thank for that. Just as the solar plants are not something that makes logical sense because of what it takes to make them big enough to operate where they can supply enough energy to power a town and we would have to depend on sunny days or they revert to gas to run.
Now, solar panels on homes makes more sense. They require less space, operate on roofs or sheds or can be placed on the ground but the cost is out of reach for most people. That would be the way to go. But then again it would cut into taxes and profits so I understand why they still cost so much to buy. If the government was truely wanting to clean the air they would allow the windmills again as they are cheaper to buy and alot of places have plenty of wind. They are not the most attactive units but they do produce energy and are an answer to energy problems.
So now we have to ask ourselfs a few questions. If the government is so bent on clean energy why ban so many products to the public that would save energy? why are carberators that get 70+ MPG not being used? Why do personal solar panels cost so much? Why not invest money in placing solar panels on homes instead of taking up millions of achers and water to run solar power plants? Why not allow windmills if people can afford them? Could it be a loss of money in some ones pockets and not ours? I have alot of questions and I would love to hear the government answer them.
Now turbo windmills cost a big chunk of money. But they have places you can look up that sale books on building one of your own for about $200.00 and the investment of around $40.00 for the book on how to do it yourself. So for about $240.00 you can build a unit for yourself. That makes sense to me.
Nite all and God bless.

Now we all watched, well not all of us as I never watch the main stream media, and heard about the RNC leaks about Sarah Palin. Seems it was another prank and the person who made the leaks about her spending, tantrums, and what ever was not even a member of the McCain/Palin campain. Another prankster that the main stream did not verify. Egg on face once again. Kind of like everything they put out there.
I wonder when Americans are going to wake up and stop watching NBC, CBS, ABC, AND MSNBC? If they can't verify their facts before they report then maybe we should stop taking them seriously. So far they have made it a habit to report fiction and putting it out as fact. We as americans expect the media to at least report on actual facts and not B.S. from uncomfirmed sources as factual.
The main stream media is becoming a bunch of rag stations and most people do not believe the rag mags so we now have to look at the main stream media and think is it true or are they off on a tangent again? It is a sad day when we can not trust the news to be reporting facts. We have to think of them as a joke. It is sad when we have to think that most of what they say is false and unverified. That they are so eager to spread gossip they do not bother to make sure it has a tad bit of truth to it.
The worse part is they do not go back and tell everyone they messed up and what they said was not true but fed to them by a bogus name from a prankster and they wish to correct the facts. They sure beat the lies into everyone but man do they avoid telling the truth as often and as strongly. They enjoyed telling us all about Palins son not being hers and they were wrong, they loved trooper gate investigation until she was found not guilty, they loved spreading she came to the door in a towel and threw fits, but they sure did not love saying she was found not guilty of anything, and her son was hers, and the guy giving them the scoop was not even for real.
So I think it is time we stop listening to them. If we want facts I really do not know where we will get them. Fox is pretty honest but for how long now? Will we end up with nothing but propaganda and what the far left wants us to hear? If we do what and how will we get our facts? Has anyone thought of this? Has anyone thought of what will happen if all our media ends up MSNBC news? God help us if it does.
Nite all and God bless.

I have come to the conclution that most people do not understand how companies grow. They associate the aquirement of assets as a sin. So I thought I'd try to explain in a simple form. Maybe if we put it in terms you can understand you will be able to see why companies can not be over taxed. They have to have a large capital built up or we have what is going on now.
Most of us live from pay check to pay check. We work hard just to pay our bills and stay afloat. If we miss just one check it will set us back for months. We have to have our income every week. Now a company goes on the same principle but a larger scale, the diffrence is if they miss one of their paychecks and they are surviving from one to the next they have no funds to buy the products to make their products to sale and they can not make payroll. If they can not make payroll then the workers miss their paychecks and they can't survive long without it.
A company has to make enough to bank for when they hit a slump. If they do not have that backup then they have to do one of several things, cut back on employees, close their doors, have a huge clearance sale and hope they make enough to go on or borrow. Right now the borrowing part is out. So if they are struggling now and their taxes go up instead of down, and they are punished for making a profit, what do you think they will do? If they have to shell out even more of what little capital they have for insurances and they are in a slump what will happen?
I am looking at all the companies that are shutting down now, they did not have enough banked for the slump. They are using up what they have and they are cutting jobs. Soon we will be in a real bind. Already there are millions of people without jobs who had them a few months ago. This month so far over a million new people applied for unemployment. We have to cut back on what we use to spend and look at the profits companies are losing. By not spending companies are losing and cutting jobs and closing doors.
So do we tax them or not? Do we add more of a burden on them with insurances and taxes or do we back off, lower taxes and start building back what our government has destroyed? And believe me it was our government who brought this about. It was a trickle down effect. They created the bills that forced the loans that the lending agents used counting on the insurances to cover the foreclosures and non-payments on credit cards that colasped the system.
So what to do? What do we do as a nation to build it back to where it was? More taxes and more financial burdens or less? What is the answer?

Change we can believe in?
Please see the article below... very disconcerting that Obama plans to implement a mandatory civil service "army" of sorts that includes our children. He plans to implement mandatory civil service all the way down to middle school aged children.

Emanuel volunteers Americans to do 'a lot'
'If you're worried about having to do 50 jumping jacks the answer is yes'
Posted: November 13, 2008

By Bob Unruh© 2008 WorldNetDaily
A video of a 2006 interview with now-Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel for president-elect Barack
Obama reveals plans for mandatory induction for all young adults into a civilian "force."
"If you're worried about, are you going to have to do 50 jumping jacks, the answer is yes," Emanuel told the interviewer, a reporter who was podcasting for the New York Daily News at the time.
WND reported last weekend when

the official website for Obama,
Change.gov, announced he would "require" all middle school through college students to participate in community service programs.
However, after a flurry of blogs protested children being drafted into Obama's proposed youth corps, officials softened the website's wording.
Originally, under the tab "America Serves," Change.gov read, "President-Elect Obama will expand national service programs like AmeriCorps and Peace Corps and will create a new Classroom Corps to help teachers in under served schools, as well as a new Health Corps, Clean Energy Corps, and
Veterans Corps.

"Obama will call on citizens of all ages to serve America, by developing a plan to require 50 hours of community service in middle school and high school and 100 hours of community service in college every year," the site announced.
WND previously reported on a video of
a marching squad of Obama youth and Obama's "civilian national security force," which he said in July
would be just as powerful and well-funded as the U.S. military.
Now comes the Emanuel
video, which has been embedded here:
In the interview, Emanuel was questioned whether participants in the proposed force would live in barracks.
"Somewhere between the age of 18 to 25 you will do three months of training. You can do it at some point in your college time," he said. "There can be nothing wrong with all Americans having a joint, similar experience of what we call civil defense training or civil service."
Emanuel said the planned requiring service "will give people a sense of what it means to be an American."
He said, of course, the plan at that point was flexible.
"We propose three months [but] at the end of the day [if] someone says it should be four … I'm not going sit here and hold up [plans]," Emanuel said.
When the reporter questioned the commitment, Emanuel responded, "Guess what. We have a lot more challenges. We are going to need a lot to do it. If you're worried about are you going to have to do 50 jumping jacks the answer is yes."
He chuckled at the reporters concerns.
"Rather than figure out if whether you take a train ride or a barrack. … Think of it this way, it will be a common experience.
"There will be a body of citizens who are ready, capable and trained," he said.
But the plan, especially its demand that Americans participate in a domestic "force," has been raising questions.
The blogger Gateway Pundit called Obama's plan the "creation of his Marxist youth corps," and
DBKP commented, "'Choosing' to serve should be approved by parents – not required by the government. No amount of good intentions can sugar-coat words like 'mandatory,' 'compulsory' or 'required.'"
Emanuel uses his book, "The Plan: Big Ideas for America," to specify that he would propose, for all Americans ages 18 to 25, that they "serve their country by going through three months of
basic training, civil defense preparation and community service."
Obama, meanwhile, also has yet to clarify what he meant during his July "Call to Service" speech in Colorado Springs in which he insisted the U.S. "cannot continue to rely only on our
military in order to achieve the national security objectives we've set" and needs a "civilian national security force."
A video of his comments is here:
Joseph Farah, founder and editor of WND, used his daily column first to raise the issue and then to elevate it with a call to all reporters to start asking questions about it.
"If we're going to create some kind of national
police force as big, powerful and well-funded as our combined U.S. military forces, isn't this rather a big deal?" Farah wrote. "I thought Democrats generally believed the U.S. spent too much on the military. How is it possible their candidate is seeking to create some kind of massive but secret national police force that will be even bigger than
the Army, Navy,
Marines and Air Force put together?
"Is Obama serious about creating some kind of domestic security force bigger and more expensive than that? If not, why did he say it? What did he mean?" Farah wrote.
The Obama campaign has declined to respond to WND questions on the issue.
But Farah's call generated intense Internet discussions.
The Blue Collar Muse blog commented, "The questions are legion and the implications of such an organization are staggering! What would it do? According to the title, it's a civilian force so how would it go about discharging 'national security' issues? What are the Constitutional implications for such a group? How is this to be paid. … The statement was made in the context of youth service. Is this an organization for just the youth or are adults going to participate? How does one get away from the specter of other such 'youth' organizations from Nazi Germany and the former Soviet Union when talking about it?"

Alight people, these morons bailed out Frannie and Freddie to right the major screw up the democrats commited creating them then passing bills forcing bad loans. They bailed out AIG, who proceeded to party on our dime, they bailed out the banks so they could start making loans again, but instead bought up banks, and now they want to bail out the auto industry that is failing because the first bailouts did not work and they think if they bail them out that the banks will start making loans to buy cars so the industry will not colaspe.
If you are not selling auto's, and you do not have new energy efficant ones in the making and the banks wont make loans to buy them, then how will $50 billion help or even $1 trillion? If you can't sell your product then you wont make money and in a year or less be right back where you are.
Are democrats too dumb to know this or did I miss something in the translation? I know they think we are too dumb to figure out that so far not a single bail out has done a single thing it was suppose to so now they want to hand out more? Wake up, a 5th grader knows if you DO NOT HAVE A MARKET you can not make money. That is another good money after bad.
I am afraid to say this, but some one has to, Pelosi and her democratic party is dumber than a 5th grader if they can not see that the plan to bail out the auto industry is about as smart as all the others. Tell us how well it is working all day long but with the stock market falling and small businesses closing and big businesses leaving or laying off I really do not think many of us are buying into it. Obama should not be pushing this bill no matter how much he owes the unions. It is one of the dumbest, note I said one of, ideas these nuts have come up with.

I just had the gift of a new great grandson, my second, guess that puts me up there in age. I was thinking as I looked at his picture and that of his brother holding him of how it was when I was a child. I thought about it for some time when it suddenly dawn on me just how far our nation has developed.
When I was a child I grew up in a single mothers home, My dad and mom divorced when I was 5 yrs old and there were 4 of us kids. We had a nice 3 bedroom house and we ate good meals. We saw the doctor when we needed to and we could afford it. My dad did not pay support so we lived on what my mom earned and she only had a 8th grade education although she did eventually get her GED.
You could rent a house in a nice neighborhood, and things cost alot less. Then as I grew up and went to work things began to change. Suddenly we needed two jobs to survive and if we did not earn at least $20.00 an hour we couldn't afford a nice home and good meals. Food stamps, welfare and hud came into exsistance and we found ourselfs facing generations of system users.
I began to see the gap in pay widen, if you worked for a union job you earned two to three times what you earned at WalMart or KMart or the local grocer. I noticed that the rent for apartments and houses and even mobile homes went up to match the higher rate of pay. It began to cost more to own a home, see a doctor and buy a car.
I find it ironic that the Union is suppose to be so great for our country and so far all I've seen is they get more and more for the people but it cost more and more to buy or rent or even eat. Has it not dawned on anyone that you may make more but the home you live in that would of been rented for $350.00 a month now rents for $950.00 or more. The more they get you the higher the cost of living gets.
Now you can't afford a doctor without insurance, use to be you could, now you can't meet all your bills, use to be you could, now it takes two incomes, use to be just one. So looking at the picture from the outside in I see the humor in the picture. What people in Unions think is great is in reality the reason the cost of living is so high. It is the reason jobs are leaving the U.S. and it is why so many companies have collasped.
Funny how when you look at things from the outside in and think where we use to be and where we are there are alot of things we could of changed. Logic says if you earn that $20.+ an hour and still have to have two incomes and struggle to survive then maybe that gap in incomes that grew from about a 2% gap to a 300% gap is not such a great thing. Because that gap has created a need for two jobs and even more pay raises and still you can't catch up.
I wonder what would happen if we all went back to that 2% gap and companies could cut pays and keep people working and the cost of living would have to come down to match what we earn and Doctors would have to charge less and we would have the same things but we could afford them and maybe people would not need two jobs and families would become families again. I wonder if that would happen. It wont but I do wonder.
Nite all and God bless.

Well, I guess I may be one of the few who find the rise in the jobless as no suprise. I have a family with more than one group with small businesses. They watched to see who was going to win the election and when they were fairly sure it would be Obama they began to lay off people. They can not afford higher taxes, insurance for employees and double social security matches so they solved the problem by lay offs.
Why anyone would be suprised is beyond me. I do believe we were all warned yet some of us still think taxing the so called rich is a great idea. I tried my best to tell people it wont work and still we voted for the very thing that is going to cost more and more jobs. A business has to make a profit, if it can't it will have to cut cost, the first cut is always jobs. So we have a new President, the majorities choice, now it is time to SUCK IT UP.
Just grin and bear it. There is more to come. When the taxes really hit we can watch more jobs go and we can look at our little welfare checks and thank the people responsible. Crap happens get over it. My sister's company had 8 employees, they laid off 6 and kept their sons to save enough to survive. They do not make enough to keep their heads out of water as it is so they sure can't if their taxes go up and they have more of a burden added with insuring all 6 people they laid off. Now they can cut workers comp, unemployment and have enough to spread the wealth. Enjoy it while it last.
That is the price of change.

Is this what we have to look forward to? Ask a question of the DNC leaders and become a national threat that has to be vetted by the democrats? Joe has been vetted far better than Obama. We know more about Joe than we do the candidate the DNC has chosen to run for their party. We know about his education, his taxes, his job, his child support, his divorce, his lack of a love life.
We know Joe. But we do not know Obama. We are blocked from his college records, his birth certificate, his family, his friends, his values, his life. Yet we know Joe the plumber as well as we know our selfs. Why? Because this man ask a question and Obama answered it and stuck both feet in his mouth. Obama messed up. So who pays for Obama's mistake? Joe.
Is this Cuba? Is this how we expect to be treated? Do you not see the mistake in thinking this is how we should be treated? Joe is the average person, you, me, your family. This man can not even go to work because he ask a question. He has no income because he ask a question. He has been treated like a terrorist because he ask a question. Do you want to live like this? Think about the reality of what is going on. It isn't if Joe owes taxes, the state said they had not even sent him a notice yet, it isn't if he pays his support, it isn't if he has his license yet, it is the fact HE ASK A QUESTION AND WAS PERSECUTED FOR IT. INTIMINATED. That is what it is about.
Now go vote for your hero. Go vote to have your right to ask questions taken away. Go vote for a man who does not stand up to the media and the DNC and tell them to leave Joe alone that he is an American with the right to question a candidate. Go vote for a man who claims to want transperancy as long as it isn't his we want but ours. The people not running for office. Go vote for a man who does not tell all of them leave the man alone he has a family to support. Go vote for the man who lets the little guy on the street be hounded into poverty.
That is Obama. That is the man I see. A man who allows others to pay for his mistakes. A coward, a liar, a cheat. A man who has no loyalties to anyone but himself.
Nite all and God bless.
