I wish people would stop calling these whack jobs Muslims. Do real Muslims believe a mothership is orbiting the earth with powerful weapons to wipe out whitey? Do they believe some dead con man from Detroit is their Messiah and Savior? Do they believe only blacks have evolved into humans? Why isn`t the media calling these people what they really are...........racist, self deluded nut jobs? Their leaders life like Sultan`s sucking the lifes blood out of their followers. Is this is the only "business" KK can attract to Detroit............?

Muslim leader brings convention to Detroit

DETROIT (AP) -- The leader of one of the largest Muslim groups in the U.S. and son of the Nation of Islam's longtime leader is bringing his annual convention to Detroit.

Imam W. Deen Mohammed will deliver a lecture Aug. 30 and keynote address Aug. 31 at Cobo Center during the WDM Ministry convention, whose theme is "Have a winning spirit for success."

Mohammed moved his followers toward mainstream Islam after the 1975 death of his father, Elijah Mohammed. Louis Farrakhan rebuilt the Nation of Islam and led its convention last year in Detroit.

W. Deen Mohammed and Farrakhan have had a long, difficult history. They embraced on stage in 2000 after years of discord, but Mohammed last year condemned the "hate rhetoric" of some Nation leaders.

Is this really the SI cover????? Are they trying to go back to the ancient days when athletes competed nude?`bout a 1/4 of an inch more and Michael would be in competition with Britany and Paris in the naughty bits exposure dept. Where is Michaels mother now?

Her face was on display at the Olympics just as much as his butt cleavage was. Micheal Phelps tosses a bouquet of roses to his mother, Debbie, after the medal ceremony for the 100-meter butterfly at the Water Cube on Saturday.

Ok Ok I know most of female and portions of gay America are swooning over Dolphin man ( totally ignoring his ears - hey, massive amounts of gold and a bit of green makes one blind just like love :O) ),but must we have the aquatics version of saggy, baggy drawers shoved in our faces?

This is a transcript of Hillary Clinton's speech on suspending her campaign for the Democratic presidential nomination. Click here to watch a video of the full speech.

Well, this isn't exactly the party I'd planned, but I sure like the company.

And I want to start today by saying how grateful I am to all of you, to everyone who poured your hearts and your hopes into this campaign, who drove for miles and lined the streets waving homemade signs, who scrimped and saved to raise money, who knocked on doors and made calls, who talked, sometimes argued with your friends and neighbors, who emailed and contributed online, who invested so much in our common enterprise, to the moms and dads who came to our events, who lifted their little girls and little boys on their shoulders and whispered in their ears, "See, you can be anything you want to be."

To the young people, like 13-year-old Anne Riddell from Mayfield, Ohio, who had been saving for two years to go to Disney World and decided to use her savings instead to travel to Pennsylvania with her mom and volunteer there, as well.

To the veterans, to the childhood friends, to New Yorkers and Arkansans, who traveled across the country, telling anyone who would listen why you supported me. And to all of those women in their 80s and their 90s - born before women could vote - who cast their votes for our campaign. I've told you before about Florence Steen of South Dakota who was 88 years old and insisted that her daughter bring an absentee ballot to her hospice bedside. Her daughter and a friend put an American flag behind her bed and helped her fill out the ballot.

She passed away soon after and, under state law, her ballot didn't count, but her daughter later told a reporter: "My dad's an ornery, old cowboy, and he didn't like it when he heard mom's vote wouldn't be counted. I don't think he had voted in 20 years, but he voted in place of my mom."

So to all those who voted for me and to whom I pledged my utmost, my commitment to you and to the progress we seek is unyielding.

You have inspired and touched me with the stories of the joys and sorrows that make up the fabric of our lives. And you have humbled me with your commitment to our country.

Eighteen million of you, from all walks of life - women and men, young and old, Latino and Asian, African American and Caucasian - rich, poor, and middle-class, gay and straight, you have stood with me.

And I will continue to stand strong with you every time, every place, in every way that I can. The dreams we share are worth fighting for.

Remember, we fought for the single mom with the young daughter, juggling work and school, who told me, "I'm doing it all to better myself for her."

We fought for the woman who grabbed my hand and asked me, "What are you going to do to make sure I have health care?" and began to cry, because even though she works three jobs, she can't afford insurance.

We fought for the young man in the Marine Corps tshirt who waited months for medical care and said, "Take care of my buddies over there, and then will you please take care of me?"

We fought for all those who've lost jobs and health care, who can't afford gas or groceries or college, who have felt invisible to their president these last seven years.

I entered this race because I have an old-fashioned conviction that public service is about helping people solve their problems and live their dreams. I've had every opportunity and blessing in my own life, and I want the same for all Americans.

And until that day comes, you'll always find me on the front lines of democracy, fighting for the future.

The way to continue our fight now, to accomplish the goals for which we stand is to take our energy, our passion, our strength, and do all we can to help elect Barack Obama, the next president of the United States.

Today, as I suspend my campaign, I congratulate him on the victory he has won and the extraordinary race he has run. I endorse him and throw my full support behind him.

And I ask all of you to join me in working as hard for Barack Obama as you have for me.

I have served in the Senate with him for four years. I have been in this campaign with him for 16 months. I have stood on the stage and gone toe-to-toe with him in 22 debates. I've had a front-row seat to his candidacy, and I have seen his strength and determination, his grace and his grit.

In his own life, Barack Obama has lived the American dream, as a community organiser, in the state senate, as a United States senator. He has dedicated himself to ensuring the dream is realized. And in this campaign, he has inspired so many to become involved in the democratic process and invested in our common future.

Now, when I started this race, I intended to win back the White House and make sure we have a president who puts our country back on the path to peace, prosperity and progress. And that's exactly what we're going to do, by ensuring that Barack Obama walks through the doors of the Oval Office on January 20, 2009.

Now, I understand that we all know this has been a tough fight, but the Democratic party is a family. And now it's time to restore the ties that bind us together and to come together around the ideals we share, the values we cherish, and the country we love.

We may have started on separate journeys, but today our paths have merged. And we're all heading toward the same destination, united and more ready than ever to win in November and to turn our country around, because so much is at stake.

We all want an economy that sustains the American dream, the opportunity to work hard and have that work rewarded, to save for college, a home and retirement, to afford that gas and those groceries, and still have a little left over at the end of the month, an economy that lifts all of our people and ensures that our prosperity is broadly distributed and shared.

We all want a health care system that is universal, high-quality and affordable, so that parents don't have to choose between care for themselves or their children or be stuck in dead-end jobs simply to keep their insurance.

This isn't just an issue for me. It is a passion and a cause, and it is a fight I will continue until every single American is insured, no exceptions and no excuses.

We all want an America defined by deep and meaningful equality, from civil rights to labor rights, from women's rights to gay rights, from ending discrimination to promoting unionization, to providing help for the most important job there is: caring for our families.

And we all want to restore America's standing in the world, to end the war in Iraq, and once again lead by the power of our values, and to join with our allies to confront our shared challenges, from poverty and genocide to terrorism and global warming.

You know, I've been involved in politics and public life in one way or another for four decades. And during those 40 years, our country has voted 10 times for president. Democrats won only three of those times, and the man who won two of those elections is with us today.

We made tremendous progress during the 1990s under a Democratic president, with a flourishing economy and our leadership for peace and security respected around the world.

Just think how much more progress we could have made over the past 40 years if we'd had a Democratic president. Think about the lost opportunities of these past seven years on the environment and the economy, on health care and civil rights, on education, foreign policy and the Supreme Court.

Imagine how far we could have come, how much we could have achieved if we had just had a Democrat in the White House.

We cannot let this moment slip away. We have come too far and accomplished too much.

Now, the journey ahead will not be easy. Some will say we can't do it, that it's too hard, we're just not up to the task. But for as long as America has existed, it has been the American way to reject can't-do claims and to choose instead to stretch the boundaries of the possible through hard work, determination, and a pioneering spirit.

It is this belief, this optimism that Senator Obama and I share and that has inspired so many millions of our supporters to make their voices heard. So today I am standing with Senator Obama to say: Yes, we can!

And that together we will work — we'll have to work hard to achieve universal health care. But on the day we live in an America where no child, no man and no woman is without health insurance, we will live in a stronger America. That's why we need to help elect Barack Obama our president.

We'll have to work hard to get back to fiscal responsibility and a strong middle class. But on the day we live in an America whose middle class is thriving and growing again, where all Americans, no matter where they live or where their ancestors came from, can earn a decent living, we will live in a stronger America. And that is why we must help elect Barack Obama our president.

We'll have to work hard to foster the innovation that will make us energy independent and lift the threat of global warming from our children's future. But on the day we live in an America fueled by renewable energy, we will live in a stronger America. And that is why we have to help elect Barack Obama our president.

We'll have to work hard to bring our troops home from Iraq and get them the support they've earned by their service. But on the day we live in an America that's as loyal to our troops as they have been to us, we will live in a stronger America. And that is why we must help elect Barack Obama our president.

This election is a turning-point election. And it is critical that we all understand what our choice really is. Will we go forward together, or will we stall and slip backward?

Now, think how much progress we've already made. When we first started, people everywhere asked the same questions. Could a woman really serve as commander in chief? Well, I think we answered that one.

Could an African-American really be our president? And Senator Obama has answered that one.

Together, Senator Obama and I achieved milestones essential to our progress as a nation, part of our perpetual duty to form a more perfect union.

Now, on a personal note, when I was asked what it means to be a woman running for president, I always gave the same answer, that I was proud to be running as a woman, but I was running because I thought I'd be the best president.

But I am a woman and, like millions of women, I know there are still barriers and biases out there, often unconscious, and I want to build an America that respects and embraces the potential of every last one of us.

I ran as a daughter who benefited from opportunities my mother never dreamed of. I ran as a mother who worries about my daughter's future and a mother who wants to leave all children brighter tomorrows.

To build that future I see, we must make sure that women and men alike understand the struggles of their grandmothers and their mothers, and that women enjoy equal opportunities, equal pay, and equal respect.

Let us resolve and work toward achieving very simple propositions: There are no acceptable limits, and there are no acceptable prejudices in the 21st century in our country.

You can be so proud that, from now on, it will be unremarkable for a woman to win primary state victories - unremarkable to have a woman in a close race to be our nominee, unremarkable to think that a woman can be the president of the United States. And that is truly remarkable, my friends.

To those who are disappointed that we couldn't go all of the way, especially the young people who put so much into this campaign, it would break my heart if, in falling short of my goal, I in any way discouraged any of you from pursuing yours.

Always aim high, work hard and care deeply about what you believe in. And, when you stumble, keep faith. And, when you're knocked down, get right back up and never listen to anyone who says you can't or shouldn't go on.

As we gather here today in this historic, magnificent building, the 50th woman to leave this Earth is orbiting overhead. If we can blast 50 women into space, we will someday launch a woman into the White House.

Although we weren't able to shatter that highest, hardest glass ceiling this time, thanks to you, it's got about 18 million cracks in it, and the light is shining through like never before, filling us all with the hope and the sure knowledge that the path will be a little easier next time.

That has always been the history of progress in America. Think of the suffragists who gathered at Seneca Falls in 1848 and those who kept fighting until women could cast their votes.

Think of the abolitionists who struggled and died to see the end of slavery. Think of the civil rights heroes and foot soldiers who marched, protested and risked their lives to bring about the end of segregation and Jim Crow.

Because of them, I grew up taking for granted that women could vote and, because of them, my daughter grew up taking for granted that children of all colors could go to school together.

Because of them, Barack Obama and I could wage a hard-fought campaign for the Democratic nomination. Because of them and because of you, children today will grow up taking for granted that an African American or a woman can, yes, become the president of the United States. And so, when that day arrives, and a woman takes the oath of office as our president, we will all stand taller, proud of the values of our nation, proud that every little girl can dream big and that her dreams can come true in America.

And all of you will know that, because of your passion and hard work, you helped pave the way for that day.

So I want to say to my supporters: When you hear people saying or think to yourself, If only, or, What if, I say, please, don't go there. Every moment wasted looking back keeps us from moving forward.

Life is too short, time is too precious, and the stakes are too high to dwell on what might have been. We have to work together for what still can be. And that is why I will work my heart out to make sure that Senator Obama is our next president.

And I hope and pray that all of you will join me in that effort.

To my supporters and colleagues in Congress, to the governors and mayors, elected officials who stood with me in good times and bad, thank you for your strength and leadership.

To my friends in our labor unions who stood strong every step of the way, I thank you and pledge my support to you.

To my friends from every stage of my life, your love and ongoing commitment sustained me every single day.

To my family, especially Bill and Chelsea and my mother, you mean the world to me, and I thank you for all you have done.

And to my extraordinary staff, volunteers and supporters - thank you for working those long, hard hours. Thank you for dropping everything, leaving work or school, traveling to places that you've never been, sometimes for months on end. And thanks to your families, as well, because your sacrifice was theirs, too. All of you were there for me every step of the way.

Now, being human, we are imperfect. That's why we need each other, to catch each other when we falter, to encourage each other when we lose heart. Some may lead, some may follow, but none of us can go it alone.

The changes we're working for are changes that we can only accomplish together. Life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness are rights that belong to us as individuals. But our lives, our freedom, our happiness are best enjoyed, best protected, and best advanced when we do work together.

That is what we will do now, as we join forces with Senator Obama and his campaign. We will make history together, as we write the next chapter in America's story. We will stand united for the values we hold dear, for the vision of progress we share, and for the country we love.

There is nothing more American than that.

And looking out at you today, I have never felt so blessed. The challenges that I have faced in this campaign are nothing compared to those that millions of Americans face every day in their own lives.

So today I'm going to count my blessings and keep on going. I'm going to keep doing what I was doing long before the cameras ever showed up and what I'll be doing long after they're gone: working to give every American the same opportunities I had and working to ensure that every child has the chance to grow up and achieve his or her God-given potential.

I will do it with a heart filled with gratitude, with a deep and dividing love for our country, and with nothing but optimism and confidence for the days ahead.

This is now our time to do all that we can to make sure that, in this election, we add another Democratic president to that very small list of the last 40 years and that we take back our country and once again move with progress and commitment to the future.

Thank you all. And God bless you and God bless America.

Bernard Kilpatrick paid off so contractors could secure deals? So far Kwame and maybe Carlita soon, his sister Ayanna, Ayanna`s brother in law Bobby Ferguson and now daddy Bernard are all under investigation. What are the odds of this happening in one family? Just waiting to see what will be dug up on Mama Cheeks. You know they`re looking.

Mayor`s legal team dredging legal waters in hopes of making a deal. Lesser charges to avoid prison time - no purjury, no felonies. His resignation and a promise he won`t run again. Immunity from the Governor. Worthy and Granholm aren`t  dealing. Why should they?

The events of the past 7-8 months seriously makes you wonder how and whom Kwame ticked off so bad. The text messages were under lock and key after the whistle blower trial. The judge had requested them but they never appeared during the trial. Then all of a sudden way after the fact they are front page news and are at the forefront snowballing a minor political dynasty`s downfall. The texts released at first were from the month of the alledged Manoogian party and the month Tamara Green was murdered. Was someone sending a not so subtle message? Most political corrupton stays under the blanket. Decades of shady political networking and mutual back scratching have pretty much ensured you only hear of scandals once in a bluemoon.  This year alone blankets are being ripped off left and right across political America. Politicians are falling like flies.........why?

Yeah, someone is out to get Kwame & Co, but it`s not the media or the public.

Court room observations:

So the big bomb shell fizzled today. Judge Giles saw through the small wispy noxious cloud it emitted when dropped when he wisely commented people react differently under stress.

KK`s one lawyer really got into and appeared to be relishing the sexual comments made on the audio though. It`s almost as if  the mere pronounciation of them transported him to an ethereal plane of rapture from which he was sorely reluctant to return from each time Judge "Top Gun" Giles took aim and abrubtly shot him down from the heavenlies. The other lawyer Mr. Grits and Gravy along with his partner Mr. Rapture both seemed totally and rather weirdly obssessed with how officer White may have been touched rather than if he were touched. Perhaps it was another ethereal plane they were hoping to visit? Kwame responded to the phalangeal anal insertion comment with a huge toothy grin.

From the Michiganian fashionistas: Carlita Kilpatrick appeared looking much thinner than usual and again chose to wear a tastefully fitted summer white ensemble for her second court appearance. Her hair weave though drew rather negative reviews and was compared to having being done at a kitchen table.

Stay tuned........more inside juicy scoops to come............they`s going to trial!

Just some ramblings on recent news.

China sent a horrible message to the world when they substituted a beautiful child who could not sing for a plain looking child who sings like an angel at their opening Olympics ceremonies. The plain looking child responded when asked about the switch-I`m just happy to have been chosen to sing. Do you really think she feels that way? I don`t. Seems like Hollyweird isn`t the only place hanging out a sign of  "Beautiful only need apply-no talent required".

A featured news blog on here today by Linda_B entitled A Real Life Risk Game isn`t accepting comments. I have a comment though. Her blog is about the Russian-Georgian conflict. If you look at a map Georgia and Turkey are north of Israel. ( unless you`re Barbara Rose - Collins or Sharon McPhail then maybe not. lol ) Many Christians believe the bible predicts in the last days Russia and her Arab allies successfully invading and conquering America and attempting to invade Israel after that. The most direct route to Israel for Russia is through Georgia and Turkey. Is this recent land grab of Russia really just over disputed territory and dislike of having a pro western country on it`s doorstep? Or are they just removing an obstacle that stands in the way of their future plans?

Bernie Mac - The MacMan. While I detested his foul mouthed comedy act I really enjoyed his TV show. I still watch the reruns and laugh. I wonder why he never realized he didn`t need to have a dirty mouth and dirty material to be funny? The success of his TV show should have proven that to him. He was just naturally funny and his supporting TV cast were a riot. Jordan will always be my favorite. :)

Michael Phelps -The Human Dolphin. One of my favorite bloggers ( not on this site ) is attributing Phelp`s Beijing victories to wearing a cheat suit and being a paid pro fattened on endorsement, unlike Mark Spitz who wore a mere Speedo and was an unknown. At the age of sixteen, Phelp`s decided to give up his chances for a college athletic scholarship by signing an endorsement deal with swimsuit maker Speedo. ( ahem..yes, the same Speedo of Spitz fame. lol He`s also a spokesman for The Boys and Girls clubs of America ) The road to success for Phelp`s didn`t begin with a so called cheat suit or tons of endorsements. Phelps has come up through the ranks fair and square. The man is just a physical powerhouse. I think the afore mentioned blogger may just be biased a bit and a little ethnically tweaked. Her and Spitz are both Jewish.........lol

AG Cox made a good show of playing hard ball last week when he brought charges against Kwame for assault and obstructing justice. His timing told another story though. If he had announced the charges before the mayors hearing the mayor would not have been released from jail. Being charged with a violent crime would have altered what the judge in the case could and couldn`t do. Cox knew the day before or perhaps even earlier what his decision was......why the delay?

Is Kym Worthy making a show as well? Since when does a prosecutor meet with business leaders and others to discuss a case and hear what deal they would like to see for the mayor? I thought deals were only contemplated and brokered with a prosecutor and the defendants legal reps. Who do these business leaders and others think they are anyway?

A local Christian pastor has called for a candle light prayer vigil in front of The Spirit of Detroit.  He has called for those against and for the mayor, as well as people of all faiths to come together and pray. While I understand his good intentions, which God will be listening and answering? lol Seeing as the Christian God, the God of this pastor, says he is the only God and there are no other gods before him... how can this pastor lead prayers to other gods? Wouldn`t he be committing idolatry and leading others into idolatry as well? I am not a fan of the ecumenical movement in the least and this is just another example of Christian pastors lacking real discernment and diluting their faith for faux unity. Christians need to stay away from this watered down compromising event of "faith". Pray at home or in your church.

Anyone getting the idea Scott was thrown in as a spoiler to ensure Waters didn`t massacre Mama Cheeks? Looking at the numbers if Scott wasn`t running that`s exactly what would have happened too. Love how Mama Cheeks has come from behind at the last minute just like her son did last time.........what a coincidence. LOL Just like it`s a coincidence mama Cheeks is head of the black caucus in DC and Scott is Executive Vice Chair of the Michigan Legislative Black Caucus.......hmmmmmmmmm. Sadly it looks like old Cheeks won`t have to move her cauldron and broomstick out of DC.

With all of the hoopla over Fanchon Stinger I decided to dig into the religion she is reported to have converted to. You may ask why would a personal choice of hers be important? Well considering her honey Ray Ray is high up in the group and does business with the City of Detroit and it is also reported that many of Kwame Kilpatrick`s family belongs to the same religious group and that same group was heavily involved in his second mayoral bid and Kilpratrick hosted that group with open arms last year and even gave it`s leader an award "Spirit of love Award" and key to the City.............Oh yeah Obama`s former pastor Rev Wright also honored that very same leader with an award.........Whew! Outta cyber breath here. lol It at least warrants a looksee wouldn`t you agree?

Farrakhan spent most of his address, titled "The Gods at War – the Future is All About Y.O.U.th: Youth Organized and United to Help," praising Presidential candidate Barack Obama. Farrakhan pointed out that NOI founder, Fard Muhammad, also had a white mother and black father, and described Obama as "a herald of the messiah… like the trumpet that alerts you that something new, something better, is on the way."

http://www.adl.org/main_Nation_of_Islam/farrakhan_s
aviours_day_2008.htm

Interesting. Fard is their literal Messiah/God and Divine whom they worship and he was half white. According to Farrakhan all of these years whites are only potential humans and have not evolved. They are also blue eyed devils and the enemy of the black race. But, but......that would mean their own Messiah/God was part devil and partially unevolved and partially had the potential to be human........

The Nation of Islam Exposed

By. A. I. Palmer (Society for Adherence to the Sunnah)

Louis Gene Walcott Farrakhan is not a Muslim, nor is his doctrine Islam. Farrakhan is the leader of a black racist cult called "the Nation of Islam," (NOI) founded in Detroit, Michigan in the 1930's. While the group calls its followers Muslims, in reality, they have very little to do with the faith of Islam. Islam believes in the total transcendance of almighty God (called in Arabic, Allaah), the NOI teaches that black people are angelic gods. Islam maintains universal brotherhood, the NOI says that Islam is for blacks only. Islam teaches that prophethood ended with Muhammad ibn Abdullah, more than 1400 years ago. The NOI teaches that Farrakhan's teacher, Elijah Muhammad, is the last prophet. Islam teaches principles of spiritual and moral decorum such prayer, fasting, charity, pilgimage, etc., Elijah Muhammad cast these out or altered them beyond recognition.

Yet, it is an error to oversimplify the issue by denouncing Farrakhan's racist diatribes while playing down Farrakhan's God-is-a-man and Prophet-after-Muhammad beliefs. Racism has very little to do with the issue. Sure, racism is contrary to Islamic principles and Islam rejects it. However, the deviation of Elijah Muhammad and Louis Farrakhan are MUCH more serious than racism. It is the sin which Allah DOES NOT forgive. If Farrakhan would leave his man-is-god and prophet-after-Muhammad beliefs, but was still a raving racist, he would be much better off than the other way around! Let me say very clearly, that there is NO ideology on the face of this earth which could be farther from Islam than that of Louis Farrakhan. NONE!

The NOI's origins are found in

(a) two black self-improvement movements that began shortly before World War I: the "Moorish Science Temple of America," founded in 1913 by Timothy Drew, and the "Universal Negro Improvement Association," founded in 1914 by Marcus Garvey.

(b) the NOI was also shaped by a Depression-era con-man, and convicted drugdealer, Wallace Dodd Ford. Upon Ford's 1929 release from California's San Quintin Prison, he moved to Detroit to start a new life. Ford used a number of names, including Wali Farad and Master Fard and claimed to be from Mecca, Arabia. Being that Ford's parentage was a mixture of white and South Pacific Maori, he used his skin color and his prison con skills to pass himself off to blacks as a "mystic" and a "prophet" from the Middle East.

Working as a door-to-door rug salesman by day, Ford blended the ideas of Garvey and Drew along with a smattering of Islam, to form what would later become the Nation of Islam. Among his first students was an unemployed Georgia migrant worker, Elijah Poole, who Ford renamed "Elijah Muhammad." In later years, Ford disappeared and Elijah assumed leadership of the NOI which he held until his death in 1975.

My addition in blue ( FD )

After a bizarre human sacrifice in November 1932 involving two NOI members in Detroit (one of them a willing victim), three NOI members were arrested: Robert Karriem (the confessed sacrificer), Wallace D. Fard, and Ugan Ali, an NOI teacher. The following day over five hundred NOI members marched on the police headquarters in protest. Karriem (whose real name was Robert Harris) thought he was carrying out NOI teachings, and the police were suspicious of a black voodoo cult. Fard told them, "I am the Supreme Ruler of the Universe," though his followers were dismayed that he told the police so much more than he told NOI adherents.[14] Fard and Ali were finally released, and Harris was committed to an insane asylum.

Further investigation by police led to the discovery that "Lesson 1" of The Secret Ritual included statements such as, "All Moslem [sic] will murder the devil because they know he is a snake and also if he be allowed to live, he would sting someone else."[15] Fard was ordered out of Michigan in May 1933. He moved to the newly-built Chicago Temple no. 2, and was arrested again in Chicago. However, in June 1934 W. D. Fard mysteriously disappeared, leaving no explanation for his followers.

http://answering-islam.org.uk/NoI/noi1.html

Elijah developed an convoluted belief system based on ideas extracted from everything from Christanity to Masonry to Islam. He elevated Ford's status to that of the Creator of the heavens and earth, and he developed a myth which he dubbed, "Yacub's History." This racist doctrine is still maintained by Louis Farrakhan.

In brief, the doctrine states that the first humans, a race of black people, whom the NOI calls 'the Original Man,' created white people in a genetic experiment 6,000 years ago. Elijah claimed that they (the whites) would rule the world for 6,000 years and then be destroyed at the 'end of their time' by the blacks. He said that 'Judgement Day' means that at the 'end of time' the Gods (i.e., blacks) would destroy the entire white race (devils) and then establish a Paradise (nation) on this earth ruled forever by the blacks (i.e., Gods).

For a number of years, Farrakhan has managed to present himself as a champion for the oppressed masses, this also is a distortion. Like his teacher, Farrakhan has for more than 35 years engaged in hoodwinking blacks out of money in the name of black self improvement. The only self-improvement however, that has taken place has been for Farrakhan's family and their associates.

Additionally, his entire inspiration for the "Million Man March" is based on his alleged, "vision of being swept into a UFO that took him to a larger mothership." While in the UFO, he claims to have spoken to the late Elijah Muhammad before being beamed back to earth. (The Washington Post, Sept. 18, 1995, p. D3).

What many do not realize, is that Farrakhan has repeated this doctrine for more than 35 years! Indeed, Farrakhan's UFO "vision" is an inseparable, doctrinal link to the heretical claims of Elijah Muhammad. Elijah explained that blacks were originally, "moon people" and that the UFO "mother wheel" was piloted by 13 youths who perpetually orbited the earth, waiting to unleash global destruction on whites, while rescuing all blacks. Farrakhan to this day, teaches this same doctrine- his inspiration for the Million Man March. The Million Man March in fact, was planned with the following goals in mind:

(a) To hold it in Washington, and aim for a turnout of one million, so as to surpass the number of attendees at Martin Luther King's 1963 March on Washington, and thereafter be promoted as being greater than Dr. King and Malcolm X.

(b) By being mentioned in the same context with Dr. King, Farrakhan hopes to be remembered likewise as a charismatic, messianic black figure who commands a large and politically significant following among US blacks.

(c) To remove the cloud of suspicion which still surrounds Farrakhan regarding his involvement in Malcolm X's assassination.

(d) Most importantly, Farrakhan has to find a new way to pay for his and his family's ornate palaces in Chicago and Phoenix, his Lexus, Mercedes, Rolls Royce and Lincoln Town Cars, a Mexican villa, a new 77-acre Michigan estate and over $1.5 million dollars in unpaid back taxes. This is the reason he had an $11 registration fee, a $3.99 per minute 900 number for call-in registration (Average call is three minutes), a $700 vendor's fee, (reduced from $1000), and even ads in his newspaper soliciting for "donations" to "help defray the astronomical costs of the march," in exchange for listing the donor's name and city under appropriate categories (Platinum, Gold, etc.): $1000 or more (Platinum), $500 or more (Gold), $100 or more (Silver), $25 or more (Patron) not to mention $2 "special issues" of his 'Final Call' newspaper. Louis. A true high-tech con-man. You want to see Louie's real vison?: $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$.

It is thus impossible for anyone to try to make a distinction between Farrakhan and his UFO inspiration, or "endorse the goals of the march without endorsing Farrakhan," or say that Farrakhan is greater than Malcolm X. Malcolm's greatness was as a result of his renouncement of Elijah's false teachings, and his acceptance of true Islam, factors which Farrakhan has yet to achieve.

My book, exposing the 65-year legacy of the NOI, is scheduled for publication soon, entitled, "The Emperor Has No Clothes." If I can be of further assistance, don't hesitate to contact me.

Interestng notes:

Farrakhan, Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, Kwame Kilpatrick, Kenneth Cockrel ( noted on his City profile ) and Rev Jeremiah Wright are all Prince Hall Masons - Masonic group for blacks . Monica Conyers ( noted on her City profile ) is a member of the Order of the Eastern Star ( womens Masonic group ) which implies her husband John Conyers is a Mason. Many, many black leaders in this country belong to Prince Hall. It is reported Obama is one as well. Former Mayors Coleman Young and Dennis Archer also were/are members. This is the common thread that binds them together. Not the different religious or political associations or variety of agendas you may come across researching any one of them. So what you say? It`s just a social organization that does many good works? Think again.

American Freemasonry includes local Lodges, Scottish Rite Temples, York Rite, and the Shriners. Prince Hall is a masonic order for black men.

The Eastern Star is an auxiliary organization for wives and adult daughters of Masons. There are also masonic organizations for children -- DeMolay (for boys), Job's Daughters, and Rainbow Girls. These are known as "adoptive" masonry, which means that wives, sisters, daughters and sons of Masons are spiritually adopted into the masonic order. As a result, they are under the spiritual authority of Freemasonry. (William Schnoebelen, Masonry: Beyond the Light, page 104)

In their own words..........

Quotes from noted Masonic authorities past and present.

Full quote
Every Masonic Lodge is a temple of religion and its teachings are instruction in religion. For here are inculcated disinterestedness, affection, toleration, devolvedness, patriotism, truth, a generous sympathy with those who suffer and mourn, pity for the fallen, mercy for the erring, relief for those in want, Faith, Hope, Charity. Here we meet as brethren to learn to know and love each other. Here we greet each other gladly, are lenient to each other’s faults, regardful of each other’s feelings, ready to relieve each other’s wants,"
Albert Pike, Morals & Dogma, pp. 213-214.

Full quote
"Though Masonry is identical with Ancient Mysteries, it is so in this qualified sense; that it presents but an imperfect image of their brilliancy; the ruins only of their grandeur, and a system that has experienced progressive alterations, the fruits of social events and political circumstances,"
Albert Pike, Morals & Dogma, page 624

Freemasonry is not Christianity, nor a substitute for it. It does not meddle with sectarian creeds or doctrines, but teaches fundamental religious truth." (Albert G. Mackey, "Encyclopedia of Freemasonry," page 162)

Whose truth then?

"Masonry, like all the Religions, all the Mysteries, Hermeticism and Alchemy, conceals its secrets from all except the Adepts and Sages, or the Elect, and uses false explanations and misinterpretations of its symbols to mislead those who deserve only to be misled; to conceal the Truth, which it calls Light, from them, and to draw them away from it." (Albert Pike, "Morals and Dogma," page 104)

"Drop the theological barnacles [timeless Biblical truths] from the religion of Jesus, as taught by Him, and by the Essenes and Gnostics of the first centuries, and it becomes Masonry, Masonry in its purity, derived as it is from the old Hebrew Kaballa as a part of the great universal religion of the remotest antiquity." (J. D. Buck, "Mystic Masonry," page 119)

Depending on what level/degree they have achieved determines how much of the grand plan they know. Many Masons are lower level and to them it is just a social/networking organization.

Mat 24:10 And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another. ( couple of signs of the general attitude of mankind in the last days )

Man moves to well known town that celebrates CHRISTmas all year round and is offended by symbols of Christ FOUR YEARS LATER!!!!!!!!!!!!!. Can we spell major idiot, rabblerouser, moron, full of doo doo?

    Clarke

Resident Lloyd Clarke, 66, wants the 70-foot-tall cross at a Frankenmuth city park removed, and he'd like the city to change its seal. He argued successfully to have crosses removed from a downtown bridge. (Charles V. Tines / The Detroit News)

Atheist wants Frankenmuth to remove religious symbols Francis X. Donnelly / The Detroit News

FRANKENMUTH -- If this popular tourist mecca 80 miles north of Detroit wears Germany on one of its sleeves, the other contains Martin Luther.

Founded by Lutheran missionaries who vowed to retain their old ways, the community of 4,800 has one of the highest concentrations of Lutherans in the Midwest. The city seal contains a Luther rose, the symbol for Lutheranism.

So when local atheist Lloyd Clarke wanted to remove a cross from the seal, along with ones in a city park and on a state bridge, residents rose nearly as one against him.

Children taunted the 66-year-old Clarke. A letter writer accused him of trying to reduce Frankenmuth to "Satan's pit." Another said crosses were as much a part of the town as its renowned chicken dinners.

"People who like to cite the Constitution to justify their hatred and bigotry should take the time to read it," resident Judi King wrote to the local paper.

The Ann-Arbor-based Thomas More Law Center announced earlier this month it has been retained by the city to defend the crosses on the city seal and city park.

The city removed the ones on the downtown bridge after Clarke argued they were an unconstitutional government endorsement of religion.

But he is hardly celebrating. Stung by the community reaction, he has withdrawn from the controversy.

He hopes a Washington group, Americans United for the Separation of Church and State, will pick up the battle against the remaining crosses. The organization is considering such a move.

"Whenever I thought I had put out the flames, it was like pouring gas on the fire," he said.

Clarke, who said he sometimes feels like he's the one hanging from the cross, isn't the only person trying to avoid the glaring spotlight the issue has focused on the city.

City Manager Charlie Graham didn't return several phone calls, and longtime Mayor Gary Rupprecht declined to say anything. The Frankenmuth Chamber of Commerce wouldn't discuss the issue, including whether it's hurting local businesses.

    Rich in German history

In Frankenmuth, populated by shops like the Cheese Haus and Willi's Sausage Co., German isn't just a marketing device, it's the soul of the community.

Homes and businesses have the Alpine architecture of ornate balconies and overhanging eaves. One of the two Lutheran churches conducts a monthly service in German. The McDonald's once had a German menu. Waiters at Zehnder's wear lederhosen.

Nicknamed Little Bavaria for the part of Germany where its settlers came from, Frankenmuth has the only Oktoberfest outside Munich that is sanctioned by that city.

The only thing missing is the Alps.

Minorities said the lack of diversity sometimes makes them feel less than willkommen.

The population is 99 percent white, with 13 blacks and 14 Asians, according to the census.

"You'd like to see more people who look like you," said Walt Hunter, 54, a black contractor who moved into town two years ago because he found it a good place to raise a family. ( why did he move there then? He obviously knew there was hardly any who looked like him there. duh  )

Into this quaint world of all things Bavarian moved Clarke four years ago.  ( he moved there FOUR years ago and is now just becoming offended???????? Oh wait......delayed emotional trauma syndrome.Yes, that has to be the ticket. )

Why would an atheist want to live in a place where City Hall hosts a Nativity scene during the holidays and its most famous store is named Bronner's CHRISTmas Wonderland?

"I've been asked that question a lot lately," he said.

Clarke said he moved from Bay City to be closer to family in Frankenmuth and a neighboring town.

He didn't notice the foot-long crosses on the bridge until he drove past them a few months ago, ( he`s been there FOUR YEARS!!!!!! ) he said. He felt they made Jews, Muslims and other non-Christians feel unwelcome. ( Has he talked to anyone other than himself to find out if this is true? Highly doubtful. )

"I've never seen a religious symbol on a bridge in all my life," he said. ( he only notices them every FOUR YEARS!!!!!!!!!!!!)

Clarke has a long history of activism. ( the real reason emerges from out of the BS pit ) A retired UAW organizer, he has belonged to anti-war groups and ran for the state Senate in 2006 as a Green Party candidate, receiving 2.5 percent of the vote.

After he objected to the bridge crosses, the city promptly removed them.

Boy, that was easy, Clarke thought. He then tried his luck with removing the cross from the city seal. ( well California should remove the pagan goddess Minerva from their seal too then.

     The Great Seal of California

[flag of City of Pomona, California]

    City of Pomona , CA.

The centerpiece of this image is the figure of the Roman goddess Pomona; she is dressed in a blue robe and holds a dark staff in her left hand.

U.S. States with goddesses on their Great Seals are: Arkansas, California, Hawaii, Idaho, North Carolina (also New Jersey, New York & Virginia also have them on their state flags).

U.S. capitals with idols (goddesses) on their domes  Texas, Missouri, Wisconsin, Georgia, Pennsylvania, and of course Washington DC.  (there may be more)  )

But the city balked, the churches got involved, the residents turned on Clarke, and Frankenmuth hasn't been the same since.

U.S. courts have given conflicting rulings about religious symbols on public property. But judges seem to support such emblems if they represent the history of a community, said legal scholars.

    Lutherans founded city

Supporters of the Frankenmuth crosses said the history of the town is synonymous with the history of the local Lutheran church, which were both founded by the same settlers.

Besides the Luther rose, which contains a cross, the city seal contains symbols for the U.S. and Bavaria and a wheat sheaf to show the community's agrarian roots.

"I don't think the cross compels anyone to be a Christian any more than the sheath of wheat compels someone to be a farmer," said Joe Kraft, 81, a retired computer analyst who has lived in Frankenmuth his entire life. ( hehehehehe common sense prevails )

The city park, at the southern entrance to town, contains a 70-foot cross and a restored log house modeled after one of the original homes.

Before objecting to the crosses, Clarke found Frankenmuth a friendly, inviting place.

People hold the door open for each other at the post office, he said. Drivers often give way to other motorists.

But Clarke has since seen a different face of the community.

During a council meeting to discuss the city seal, two copies of which hung from a wall behind the council members, 80 people jammed the small room, many wearing T-shirts with crosses that read "Live it Love it" and "Established 1845," attendees said.

One wept that, without the cross, he was nothing.

The local paper received a deluge of letters that questioned why Clarke moved there, accused him of harassing them, and said he should move to Russia or China.

Talk radio called him an idiot. A blogger told him to pull in his horns.

Even local youths got into the act, Clarke said.

"I love the cross," one shouted at him in the street. "Get a life," another yelled a different time.

    Clarke was nonplused.

"The Constitution protects the minority -- that's me -- from the majority," he said. ( Protects. Hmmmmmmm Protects you from things you didn`t notice or feel threatened by for FOUR YEARS!!!!!!!!!!! I don`t think so.) People here live in a bubble, and like it that way." ( then move! I hear China is full of atheists.........you would feel most welcome there)

In response to the issue, one of the Lutheran churches distributed 1,500 crosses to members. Before long, nearly every frontyard seemed to sprout one of the 3-foot symbols.

Someone even placed one in front of Clarke's apartment.

A resident joked that Billy Graham himself wouldn't have been half as successful as Clarke in convincing so many residents to display the cross so prominently.

He reminds me of yet another case of delayed outrage -  atheist Michael Newdow of California. He only got offended by the Pledge of Allegience being recited in public schools when he was in the middle of child custodial issues with his ex-wife. When he was unsuccesful ( it was found he didn`t even have custody of his child so had no right to complain in court ) he too drew others in to fight for his personal grudges.

3 Detroit Council Members Ask Granholm not to Oust Mayor

Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick appears in court for a hearing in April 2008.

LANSING, Mich. (AP) -- Three Detroit City Council members have asked Gov. Jennifer Granholm not to remove perjury defendant Kwame Kilpatrick as mayor.

Monica Conyers, Barbara-Rose Collins and Martha Reeves signed the May 27 letter. The council voted 5-4 May 13 to ask Granholm to oust Kilpatrick and to undertake its own removal process.

Kilpatrick and ex-Chief of Staff Christine Beatty are charged with perjury, official misconduct and obstructing justice over their testimony during a whistle-blowers' trial in which they denied being romantically involved.

Conyers tells "The Detroit News" the process "should stay at home."

Councilman Kwame Kenyatta says the letter's a "disgrace." Granholm spokeswoman Liz Boyd declines comment.

These three ladies and the Kwamster remind me of the movie The Witches of Eastwick. Remember Jack Nicholson and his perverted role as Satan and his three groupies the witches? lol Well Detroit has it`s very own version here.

We all know who is playing Jack`s role....... so on with the rest of the cast.

The witches: One a songstress - Reeves, another a woman who has rode her elderly husbands dusty, moth eaten coat tails into power - Conyers and the last..........Ms Rose-Collins and her infamous quotes........was in 1996.......anyone remember these gems?

The Detroit Free Press newspaper published a story in July and reported that Collins said racism is "so ingrained in American society that there's nothing I can do about it. I think God is going to have to burn it out of White people." In another quote in the story, Collins said, "All White people, I don't believe, are intolerant. That's why I say I love the individuals, but I hate the race..." "The reporter, Anne Hazard, said she turned over the tape of the two-hour interview to the newspaper and a 22-page transcript.

"I stand by the accuracy of the quotes," said Hazard.

Ok Collins we can hate the black race then too, but love the individuals right???????? Ummmmmmm but, but that would be racist!!!!!!!!! lol

Isn`t it funny how politicians scream "I was misquoted" so often though? But you say well that was in `96 surely she has matured.........okay how about 2006.....you really need to read the full article on the Zoo closing hoopla that year, it`s hilarious........

Last week, the mayor presented the plan to the city council - which shocked everyone by voting 7-2 instead to reject the plan, which meant that the city would have to close the zoo.

Some of the council members, especially Barbara-Rose Collins, seemed to justify their vote on openly racist grounds. She made it clear that she would rather have no zoo than one that was run by whites.

"This is not a plantation," said Ms. Collins, who was once a congressman until she held a fund-raiser in a strip club and lost an election to Mayor Kilpatrick's mother. "Black folks aren't owned by white folks any more," she said, in justifying her vote.

The situation was not helped by L. Brooks Patterson, the loud-mouthed executive of Oakland County, where the zoo is located. "I would rather own a '48 Buick than own Barbara-Rose Collins," he shot back, adding that the city council members themselves belonged in the zoo.

Not all the council members were primarily motivated by race, Some of the naysayers were mostly irritated with Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick, who dropped his zoo plan in council's lap at 4:45 p.m. Friday, Feb. 17 - and then left to join his mother, U.S. Rep. Carolyn Cheeks-Kilpatrick, on a congressional junket to Africa.

What was totally unclear is why the mayor thought it was necessary or appropriate to go on the junket to Africa - or why he didn't come back immediately when the zoo crisis exploded.

There was a moment of comic relief when six of the naysaying councilmen held a press conference. Monica Conyers, a newly elected council member who is the wife of U.S. Rep. John Conyers (D., Detroit), managed to leave everyone speechless.

She suggested that Detroit's major corporations give the city money to help it run the zoo, and suggested that "GM could pay for the elephants."

After an embarrassed pause, reporters explained to her that the zoo has no elephants.

    ( I`m laughing so hard here..maybe she meant Shrek?......LOL )

But this is part of what is sitting on Council at present and Conyers will become Council President if Kwame is ousted..........can you envision this comedy of errors coming to fruition then?

    Any of this sound familiar?

"Whatever retaliation they do on me, we never stop,"

If any of this worries________, you'd never know it. He is pressing ahead with his latest campaign

"He is as focused as ever,"

"He is probably more effective now than he was in the past, than he has ever been."

Kwame`s lawyers speaking? Kwame`s staff speaking?

NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! These are lines from The Rev. Al Revue!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He`s in deep donkey doo like the Kwamster - has a history of donkey doo just like the Kwamster too. Neither can run their own personal lives properly, but are more than willing and happy to run others lives! Can I get an amen and an uh huh huh ? ( glory! glory! arm waves are optional )

Both Al and Kwame are so focused. They refuse to be distracted ( most would call that avoiding the truth ).  They are men on missions from God ( how very special and convenient to drag Him in to validate, eh? ) Both have corporate and political America salivating at their heels ( read in their back pockets ).

Many wonder how Al is able to continue his biased hate mongering ways. Look in the article for the big wig names that support him. Time for a boycutt of our own maybe? Is true he couldn`t have continued on the scale that he has without white coporate America`s support and approval. Just like the Kwamester and his corporate backing. Anyone hear of any real big wigs condemning these two clowns? Anyone feeling used and lied to yet?

Yes my dear fans, I got off track with my softy blog ( blaming pollens here ) but I`m back and ready to bite and chew at will !!!!!!!!!!!! Rev Al has kindly bent over and offered his ample booty for the chew fest just in time for my return. :O) Dog Biting: How to Deal With and Prevent Dog Bites

Gives a good history of Al and his finances.

Love how he said rather than him paying taxes the goverment should pay him reparations.

"His tax troubles continue even as he campaigns for president. When he filed his financial disclosure form with the Federal Election Commission on June 30, 2003, Sharpton’s attorney, Michael A. Hardy, disclosed that Sharpton faced potential federal, state, and city tax liabilities, the amount of which would be determined by an audit. But Sharpton will likely get by with a little help from his friends: nearly $18,000 in tax liens have also been paid on Sharpton’s behalf by NAN and others.

Sharpton has mocked the liens, saying the government should pay him reparations instead — a position that turns his troubles into a political protest that resonates with supporters."

Also how he couldn`t pay his rent because in effect he was too busy with his "advocacy activities" ? I wonder how many of our landlords and mortgage companies would allow any of us to use our "busyness" as an excuse?

In this April 26, 2008 file photo, the Reverend Al Sharpton ...

Records show Sharpton owes overdue taxes, other penalties

By DAVID B. CARUSO, Associated Press Writer

NEW YORK - Big corporations give him money. Presidential candidates seek his endorsement. He has influential friends in Congress and the governor's mansion.

The Rev. Al Sharpton has emerged over the past decade as perhaps the nation's most prominent civil rights leader, a status that was demonstrated again this week when he led protests against police brutality that briefly shut down six of Manhattan's major bridges and tunnels.

But he still carries baggage from his early days as a fire-breathing agitator: Government records obtained by The Associated Press indicate that Sharpton and his business entities owe nearly $1.5 million in overdue taxes and associated penalties.

Now the U.S. attorney is investigating his nonprofit group, a probe that an undeterred Sharpton brushes off as the kind of annoyance that civil rights figures have come to expect from the government.

"Whatever retaliation they do on me, we never stop," he told the AP. "I think that that is why they try to intimidate us."

Over the past year, Sharpton's lawyers and the staff of his nonprofit group, the National Action Network, have been negotiating with the federal government over the size of his debt, which they dispute. The group has also been trying to pay off tens of thousands of dollars it owes for failing to properly maintain workers compensation and unemployment insurance.

Charlie King, the organization's interim executive director, said both Sharpton and the group he leads were unprepared for their rise in stature in recent years and had trouble dealing with big jumps in donations and income.

"The infrastructure was trying to keep up with that pace, and it was not a perfect fit," he told the AP on Friday. "The National Action Network may not have been perfect, but nothing was going on that was untoward."

He said the organization has new accountants and a new administrative team, and the group recently finally filed long-overdue tax returns.

Sharpton's own debts include $365,558 owed in New York City income tax and $931,397 in unpaid federal income tax, according to a lien filed by the Internal Revenue Service last spring. His for-profit company, Rev. Al Communications, owes the state another $175,962 in delinquent taxes.

As for Sharpton's personal tax debt, King said Sharpton has started paying it off but contends that faulty record-keeping by the National Action Network led the government to overestimate his tax liability.

Tax headaches are nothing new for Sharpton. The 53-year-old minister has been assailed over his career for running up big tax debts and failing to abide by rules governing his charities and election committees. He is perpetually being sued for failing to pay his bills.

In December, Sharpton revealed that as many as 10 of his associates had received grand jury subpoenas. A person familiar with the investigation told the AP that the FBI and IRS are probing whether Sharpton or his organization committed tax crimes or violations related to his 2004 presidential campaign, during which he was forced to return public matching funds for breaking fundraising rules.

If any of this worries Sharpton, you'd never know it. He is pressing ahead with his latest campaign — an effort to persuade the Justice Department to bring civil rights charges against New York City police detectives who fired 50 shots and killed an unarmed groom as he left his bachelor party.

Over the past few weeks, Sharpton has kept a high profile, promising to lead weekly demonstrations until new charges are brought against police detectives acquitted of manslaughter April 25 in the November 2006 death of Sean Bell.

"He is as focused as ever," said Rep. Gregory W. Meeks, a Queens Democrat who has also rallied for police reforms since the Bell case. "He is probably more effective now than he was in the past, than he has ever been."

Sharpton was arrested and spent a few hours in jail Wednesday for being among the marchers who blocked the Brooklyn Bridge to protest the verdict.

On Thursday, Sharpton said he may soon add another cause — the case of three shooting suspects who appeared to have been beaten and kicked by police during an arrest in Philadelphia.

Sharpton has been investigated before, and always walked away clean.

In 1990, he was acquitted of tax fraud and charges that he stole from one of his charities. He followed that up with what was essentially another victory in a tax case by pleading guilty to a misdemeanor charge of failing to file a state return.

In the latest probe, the official overseeing the investigation is U.S. Attorney Benton Campbell — the same Brooklyn-based prosecutor whom Sharpton is urging to file criminal charges in the Bell shooting.
