Wake up Detroit!

 This letter is for all the clear thinking citizens of our city to open our eyes to the job before us. We must rid our city of the organized crime figures in our elected government, specifically Kwame Kilpatrick and his elected and appointed supporters.  We must go into the churches and remove our dollars from the corrupt pastors who openly and blindly support this type of behavior from elected officials in our city.  No longer can we point our fingers at the media or suburbs for stupidity within our own elected officials. Kwame has brought this onto himself, and if he gets 10 years in jail for lying under oath, than so be it!  We gave this guy an oppurtunity of a life time to be a rennaissance mayor for Detroit and he blew it up badly. He has brought shame to a proud city and now we must remove him from office. But when we remove him, we must go after his supporters to completely rid the city of this cancer. Then we can start the process of educating our citizens about making better decisions in the voting booth. We deserve better and we can have a better city by demanding more from our elected officials. The time is NOW and we must act quickly and decisively to make our presence felt.
