I fell again. I had to add AGAIN in there, because it seems the older I get, the more clumsy I get ! I had 4 falls this year so far, and the year isnt over !

Once coming out of church. That time was bad because I tried to break my fall and ended up hurting my wrists, broke my watch and all. One of our priests took me and my kids into their home and patched me up. That was nice, to be able to see where they live, eat, etc.

Then after that I tripped going down some stairs, then coming up stairs. Not both the same day though... :) Oh wait and fell coming out of my car on my way to church this sunday, that time I fell on the grass, just my ankle was sore.

Monday morning was a doooozy. The phone rings when I am taking a shower, soapy hair and all, I walk to get the phone. Swoosh, there I go and fall on my right hip, hit my head on the wall! I had to yell out to the kids to wake up and get the phone. Now I have a HUGE purple bruise on the side of my bum, oh yeah and my head was hurting.

I guess if you are still reading this junk, my question is : when you fall, or trip in public, do you feel embarassed, or if you are perfect, and never fall, when you see someone fall down, do you stop to laugh? Or run like I do, and try to help out, since I know what its like to fall down all the time.. oh and no one has a chance to laugh at me much, since I am the first to laugh at myself :)

LAUGHTER'S GOOD! FALLING'S BAD!

I, like you help people up....Then if they're okay, we both share in their embarassment and laugh together. Maybe you have a problem with your vision? Or maybe you are preoccupied? Or if you're like me I multi-task and walk into to things and people... I, once while playing to a packed house fell off the drums while playing a drum solo. Embarassed NO! I simply worked it into a comedy routine. Eveybody thought it was part of the solo! I got a standing ovation. I bowed to the crowd, then hobbled off the stage in agony. They laughed thinking that it was part of the act!!
Hey maybe you should take up drumming!!

PS: Let me know where you are, so I can stay out of your way!!!

Cityslicker...we should just remain "phone friends" cuz if we were to get together, we'd both be falling and tripping all over the place. I'm just clumsy like that..thats right, I admit it. I laugh at myself all the time, too, except for that one time when I fell from my aunts balcony onto her cactus garden...OUCH!

I see I have a trip-happy friend. One day I was going to step on my porch to go in the door with grocery bags.My feet went out from under me.The way I fell I ended up sitting up right on the step.I had eggs in one of the bags and didn't break one.

bigbadbob, My vision, well aint perfect thats for sure, but I wear glasses to watch tv at night, drive at night. I think for sure it has to do with my multi tasking. My biggest pet peeve is people who are late, and since I am the most annoyed, how dare I** be late to anything ! lol@ drumming and your fall, if I were in a band, screaming ( singing ) would be my thing since im used to yelling all the time :)

Candice ! lol @ cactus bush... that reminded me of a fishing trip once, I drank a large amount of water and had to water a bush, and didnt notice all around me were these teeny tiny spikey balls that cling to anything in their path, and yeap they stuck to my undies..and I didnt notice until I got back to our bench and tried to sit down ! ;)

Dont worry girl, when we hang out I'll make sure I have on sneakers so we can hold eachother up ! :)

The funniest fall that I can remember was many years ago. It was December 1984 and the streets were icy. My best friend and I got off work on a Friday and went shopping for new clothes. We bought some new shoes and wore them out of the store. We started walking North on Park Avenue South and hit a sheet of ice right in front of a crowded restaurant. We both slid, completely losing our balance as our legs shot up in the air and our backsides hit the icy pavement. The folks in the restaurant were laughing so hard they were crying. We learned an important lesson. Never buy stylish, but slippery shoes in the winter!

Okay guys....My wife has poor depth perception. She's always walking into things. She told me that it was part of her being a real blonde persona, which includes how she responds to shiny glittery objects. So as we're walking in the street, Mr. Know-it-all, ME..."BIG Bad Bob" is giving her advice how she can avoid things...."BANG"!! I walk into the "BIGGEST FATTEST TREE" in Jackson Heights. To make matters worse I did it in front of a church that was just letting out. Now let me get something straight, blondes are not dumb!!! However she led the group laughter that day, and whenever I try to lecture her...She pulls this out of her bag of tricks!

Michelle, I think we're going to need more than just wearing sneakers to hold us up. We just have to make sure that whatever we plan on doing, it involves chairs and sitting...no walking..LOL! And Bob, stay away from the trees!
