We've had reasonable temperatures and moderate humidity.
No sweltering heat and high humidity for indefinite periods of time - typical for the month of august.
I'm HAPPY !!!!
So far August is turning out to be as disappointing as July.
Where are all these DOG DAYS? No heat waves here in Mi. that's for sure. 70's daytime, low 50s nighttime. Last hot summer we had was 2005. Hot from start to finish. This is total BULL!
I'm one of those people that live for Summer. And Summer means HOT, all the way through. Not 3,4 days of warmth then back to Jacket weather for two weeks. It should be 90 this time of year, not for one day but many days. This Summer ( correct me if I'm wrong ) i don't believe we've had three 90 degree days. This now makes three years in a row, that Summer really didn't show up. And with the length of what seemed like yesterday's Winter. It's down right depressing to think that Summer is just about over. Hell, I'm STILL WAITING FOR IT TO START!
Got to get out of Mi.
ONLY HOT AIR AROUND HERE IS COMING OUT OF KWAME & FAMILY'S MOUTH.
Not my Idea of SUMMER HEAT. By the Jazz Festival, we'll be wearing our SNOW SUITS.
So much for Hot Town, Summer in the City.
Boy... Can you believe it... IT IS AUGUST?!?!?! This summer is going by FAST. What have been the highlights of your summer so far????

When we look at this election we as voters have to decide what we want out of our government. By answering these few questions your choice becomes obvious.
1. Do you think we need more government and government programs?
2. Do you think Government can make better decisions on how to live your life than you can?
3. Do you think Americans should pay more in taxes?
4. Do you think American business should pay more taxes?
5. Do you think gas prices should be higher?
6. Do you believe that America is a bad country and should ask the rest of the world permission before we do anything?
7. Do you believe that freeing millions of people from a ruthless dictator and mass murder was the wrong thing to do?
If you answered yes to these questions then you should vote for Obama. If you answered no to these questions then you should Vote McCain.
I believe America works best with a small federal government, reduced tases, people taking responsibility for their own lives, and with little regulation to stimulate business, and that the rest of the world has no say so in what we do. We have earned that last privledge by saving most of them at one time or another. Americans are a hard working compasionate people that can think for themselves. The Federal Government should go back to what it does best protecting our freedoms and this land.
per Nelly you nasty!
Because it's HOT IN HUR! ("here" for the non ebonic majors, LOL)
Detroit's sweltering heat should be expected. The summers are getting hotter and hotter and the clothes are getting skankier and skankier - even on the guys.
I'm black and I'm even getting a tan so I can actually say that its dog gone hot out there!
ha ha he!
Did Carlita Kilpatrick face any charges in the beating of Ms. T. Greene??
What sort of system or Laws does Michigan have and just whom do they really protect?
It could be 85 with no humidity.. and be a beautiful day here in michigan...not requiring you to use A/C... or it could be 70 with.. 100% humidity...and needing people to use A/C.
CAN you PLEASE say when humidity is coming in michigan!!!... so we can turn the a/c on before its TOO late, and costs more to cool down the house....
humidity tells the temp... more then that actual temp in michigan!!!!
thanks.
Here are a few pictures of the flooding damage Hamtramck received after the severe rainfall this afternoon. We had no flood warning at all.
Pictures are in "MY PHOTOS"

I. Hail in June!?! There had been a storm warning running across the bottom of the TV earlyer, "Yes i love thunderstorms." ejaculated my comrade. However i had a mixed reaction when i witnessed golf ball size bits of ice falling from the sky and quickly filling up the passanger seat of my car. Excitment, joy, suprise, but mostly FEAR."should i call my mother? my dad is driving a public bus right now, the window at my grandmothers house sometimes blows open with the wind."
A storm is blowing in and mother nature is unleashing her wrath upon all of mankind. It begain with the tsunami a few years back and all of the sudden we were all ameture weathermen. Hurricanes, Earthquackes, tornado's in the midwest, wildfires eating up homes and ecosystems, a cyclone in myanmar, The missisipi overflows and its pure madness!
Like a lot of people i immediatly think about the movie Day After Tommaro when i hear about extreme weather. Unfortunatly my sister lives in New York City so when it goes underwater ill have to head into the lions den. I told her if a cloverfield goes down, "head for Albany and ill meet you there."
