I can agree with the speed limit being set to 80. Ya never know when one may have to speed away from a drive by shooter.

I do NOT agree with shutting down a vehicle if a cell phone is in use. Ask any person who has tried to get to their vehicle to drive to a police station and had to dial talk to 911 at the same time.

Now as far as the black box feature this is a double edge sword. That information being recorded can be used against you in a court of law, if not now then eventually in the future. So yes it hopefully would mean that rich kids who caused an accident will not be able to have their parents cover them. But the really wealthy parents I 'm sure will still be able to bribe public officials to get their kids out of jail anyway.

The black box feature can certainly be used for spouses or partners to keep tabs on the other. If this black box is installed on a vehicle I own, I better be able to use my own equipment to review and store the data. I better not have to go to say the police to retrieve it. But then that means there is the opportunity to alter the data which could be done by a smart teen or spouse in which case this kind of thing really only helps enslave those who are honest not corrupt enough to alter the data for their own deceptive purpose.

It's another tracking tool, but it's not a silver bullet to solve an issue, which is what anyway? Another excuse for parents to not be active or paying attention to what their teens are up to?

i live in westland michigan and i think the teachers did the right thing by going on strike they work hard put up with alot of  headaches and give their time all year long so they deserve better pay healthcare and smaller class sizes and extra help in the classrooms for kids that  desperatly need it.my son is in the schhol district of wayne westland and he is in schhol now as we speak in westland. bye to all from mary in westland.

Ayers later wrote in his memoir, Fugitive Days, that his reaction was: "You could not be a moral person with the means to act, and stand still. [...] To stand still was to choose indifference. Indifference was the opposite of moral"

In 1965, Ayers Joined a Picket Line Protesting an Ann Arbor, Michigan, Pizzeria for Refusing to Seat African Americans.

His first arrest came for a Sit-in at a Local Draft Board, Protesting The War. Resulting in 10 days in jail.

His first teaching job came shortly afterward at the Children's Community School. The school was a part of the Nationwide "free school movement". Schools in the movement had no grades or report cards, they aimed to encourage cooperation rather than competition.

Bill Ayer's Movement which believed that Revolutionary War against the United States government and the Capitalist System should begin Immediately.

Their founding document called for the Establishment of a "White fighting force" to be Allied with the "Black Liberation Movement" and other "Anti-Colonial" Movements to achieve "The Destruction of US Imperialism and the Achievement of a Classless World.

Today, Ayers is currently a Distinguished Professor at the University of Illinois at Chicago, College of Education. His interests include teaching for Social Justice, Urban Educational Reform, narrative and interpretive research, children in trouble with the law, and related issues.

Through this. Ayers has worked with Chicago Mayor Richard M. Daley in shaping the city's School Reform Program, and was One of Three Co-authors of the Chicago Annenberg Challenge grant proposal that in 1995 won $49.2 million over five years for Public School Reform.

Since 1999 he has served on the board of Directors of the Woods Fund of Chicago, an Anti-Poverty, philanthropic foundation established as the Woods Charitable Fund in 1941

Bill Ayers and Barack Obama have been linked during their time in the city of Chicago, where they lived Three blocks apart and Led Charges for Education Reform in the State of Illinois.

Will it really help you in your hour of trouble? Or will the problem still exist for some time to come?

The day after the election. Will BC/BS be affordable enough where I can again get a policy, before I end up dead? The answer is NO. I have a better shot at ending up in a funeral home rather than a doctor's office getting diagnosed and treated. It takes me 15 minutes of the day upon getting up to walk without pain. ( Yeah I know, my enemies here will relish in that thought ). It takes me hours and hours to fall asleep no matter how much I've worked or how tired I am. My sinuses torment me 24/7 and have existed for going on 11 non-stop years. In 96 I was deathly ill, but never missed a day of work. I lost 50 pounds, was weak and ended up in Emergency 15 times within 15 months. I worked with a heart monitor on for almost 3 weeks that summer ( they wanted it on 4 weeks ). I couldn't eat, sleep or escape the pain for one moment. But I continued to work daily. When I didn't show up I was either in Emergency or admitted into the hospital. I learned a long, long time ago to grin and bare it.

Will either McCain or Obama change that scenario for me. NO THEY WONT.

Without going into detail, the next week will be a challenge for my boyfriend and I. He is quite older than me, I'm 51. He has worked all his life as well, still is. But bad times have turned into literally life and death times for us both. Wednesday morning his daughter is having brain surgery at the U of M. She has a brain tumor, at this writing it is unknown if it's malignant or not. We will find out soon enough. On top of that we will face our fate as well. Having money in the bank doesn't ensure you breath. Not when so much is wrong.

We like others aren't just bleeding, we are hemorraging. And there isn't a bandaid big enough to stop it. That's what all of us really need to focus on. Is anything really going to change? Politicians are like pimps promising the best feeling. They are all liars. The bleeding will continue, people losing their homes, minds & lives will continue.

For those of you who scream they are really Christian, PRAY. And pray hard for a 42 year old named Shelley on Wednesday. Pray for her Dad, and pray for his girlfriend no matter how much you hate her. And pray that whatever Liar wins in November, they will it actually help us all no matter what the problem may be. No one seems to escape. Even if your on top now, reality has a way of kicking the best of us down to realize we are only human. Whether Democrat, Liberal, Republican or Conservative.

In the end NOBODY WINS.

Bernie Sanders does more than just call himself a Democratic Socialist.  He is also one of three members of the United States Congress that is a card carrying  member the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA).  He is also the author of the AudioBook, "Socialist and Communist Perspectives on the 2004 Presidential Election." Bernie Sanders supports progressive tax reform (massive tax increases on average Americans), a Canadian-style single-payer health care system and a 50% cut in military spending over five years (while we're at war).   He also supports federally-funded abortions, same-sex marriage and opposes the right to bear arms under the Second Amendment.

Bernie Sanders was one of only fourteen (out of 435)  representatives voting against the national Amber Alert bill (HR 1104) to protect children.

And, if you are the author of an AudioBook named "Socialist and Communist Perspectives on the 2004 Presidential Election," doesn't that imply that you hold communist perspectives?

I caught the story on myfoxdetroit.com about a 6-year-old kid who was shot and killed by a 14-year-old boy with a BB gun.  After finding out that the 14-year-old got probation, I felt that the family of the 6-year-old didn't get any justice at all.  This goes to show you how the justice system and the law has become soft.  I think that the 14-year-old should've had the book thrown at him, and should serve life in prison.  He did an adult crime, and should do adult time.  If I was a member of the family of that 6-year-old kid, I would've gotten the name of the judge who delivered the soft sentence, and would start a push to have that judge taken off of the bench and thrown in jail.  He'd be putting another person's safety and/or life in danger by giving that 14-year-old probation.  The elderly woman, who was the 6-year-old's great-grandmother, was right by saying that the 14-year-old would do something like that again.  It's time that the state of Michigan start toughening up the justice system and the law, and hold these judges and law enforcement officers accountable for their lack of actions.

The nerve of some people to say that O.J. was convicted only because of his acquittal 13 yrs. ago for murdering his wife and F_ _ _  Buddy. People, WAKE-UP, the whole crime is on video tape, and 2 co-defendants testified against him.  What I'd really like an answer too is, Was it a coincidence or what that he gets convicted exactly 13 years to the day of being acquitted.

I have listened to why people are voting the way they are and I fell like it all boils down to who is giving away the most of our tax dollars as a freebie. I then look at the states run by liberals, be they Democrats or Republicans, and I wonder if anyone stops and takes a look at their own state.

 How have taxing the businesses worked for your state. How many jobs has it created? How is the section 8 complexes in you state working? Do you want to live by one? How is the welfare working in your state and the food stamps? How has not taking responsibility for your lifes been working? Has the government really helped by providing all the help you need not to work and then have plenty of free time to do what with?

This is not a "come and get it" country, it is suppose to be a country of people who work for what they get so they know how to value it. Our welfare is suppose to help get a person on their feet not support the person, we have Pell Grants to get the lower incomes a college education and we have government daycare so parents can work. We have a system to pay utilities so you do not have to freeze in the winter, what more do the Americans want?

We have gone to the level of paying for every need a person can have without them ever lifting a finger and we still have homeless. We have homeless for several reasons, some are just too hooked on booze and drugs to get their acts togather and some just lost their jobs and everything they own but the system is so clogged with users that the ones whom it was set up for can get no help.

So what we need is the government destroying more of our system by interfering in health care. So far they have not been able to FIX one thing they have put their hands on. Look at the economy now and ask yourself, do you really want any more of their help? They have helped us into the worse economy sense the "Great Depession" and from the looks of it we are only going to fall lower only this time we are taking alot of other countries with us. So give it some thought. Think with your brain and not with the media or what the promises that are being made.

 Look at all the help and what it got us so far and then ask do I really want more of their help?

People like me have done our part to avoid this massive bail out. We pay a average of 13% more on our houses to pay this bogus PMI fee. It isn't insurance! If it was we wouldn't need a bail out. We are all being lied too.

There's an update regarding the video with the African American teens shown on YouTube in the video below. This morning, I received a message from a friend named Dan who gave me the address of the school where this video was filmed. This is the name:

I called and spoke to Bernard, who said he was the assistant Dean. He was very gentlemanly and when I voiced my concerns about the video, he told me that this was taken at the school last year when Obama was beginning his campaign. He assured me that they stopped this "regiment" because they felt the person who was organizing it was pushing his political agenda.

Duh.

He assured me that he didn't know it was on YouTube. I gave him the link to where to go for this video and when he found it he said, "Oh this is not good. I had no idea" I told him I'd take his word for it. He then asked me, nicely, "what's the main concern? Because I want to understand where you're coming from so that I can figure out how to handle this."

Nicely, I told him that the video looked militant. I told him about the Colburn School video and how it resembles propaganda films from Communist dictatorships. I told him that the US military is frowned upon for going to high schools trying to recruit potential grads into joining their ranks. Why shouldn't we frown upon those who come to a school like yours to encourage kids to worship a politician? One who is not even a president.

I also said that if this was done to make kids feel better about themselves, why do it in the name of Obama? Why not encourage kids to believe in the power of themselves?

He assured me that he would get to the bottom of the situation, thanked me for my call and we hung up.

Politicians are the only people in the world who create problems and then campaign against them.

Have you ever wondered why, if both the Democrats and the Republicans are against deficits, WHY do we have deficits?

Have you ever wondered why, if all the politicians are against inflation and high taxes, WHY do we have inflation and high taxes?

You and I don't propose a federal budget. The President does.

You and I don't have the Constitutional authority to vote on appropriations. The House of Representatives does.

You and I don't write the tax code, Congress does.

You and I don't set fiscal policy, Congress does.

You and I don 't control monetary policy, the Federal Reserve Bank does.

One hundred senators, 435 congressmen, one president, and nine Supreme Court justices 545 human beings out of the 300 million are directly, legally, morally, and individually responsible for the domestic problems that plague this country.

I excluded the members of the Federal Reserve Board because that problem was created by the Congress. In 1913, Congress delegated its Constitutional duty to provide a sound currency to a federally chartered, but private, central bank.

I excluded all the special interests and lobbyists for a sound reason. They have no legal authority. They have no ability to coerce a senator, a congressman, or a president to do one cotton-picking thing. I don't care if they offer a politician $1 million dollars in cash. The politician has the power to accept or reject it. No matter what the lobbyist promises, it is the legislator's responsibility to determine how he votes.

Those 545 human beings spend much of their energy convincing you that what they did is not their fault. They cooperate in this common con regardless of party.

What separates a politician from a normal human being is an excessive amount of gall. For instance, no 'normal human being' would have the gall of any Speaker of The House to stand up and criticize a current President for creating deficits. The President can only propose a budget. He cannot force the Congress to accept it.

The Constitution, which is the supreme law of the land, gives sole responsibility to the House of Representatives for originating and approving appropriations and taxes. Who is the Speaker of the House? The leader of the majority party. He/She and fellow House Members, not the President, can approve any budget they want. If the President vetoes it, they can pass it over his veto if they agree to do so.

It seems inconceivable to me that a nation of 300 million can not replace 545 people who stand convicted -- by present facts -- of incompetence and irresponsibility. I can't think of a single domestic problem that is not traceable directly to those 545 people. When you fully grasp the plain truth that 545 people exercise the power of the federal government, then it must follow that what exists is what they want to exist.

If the tax code is unfair, it's because they made it unfair.

If the budget is in the red, it's because they put it in the red.

If the Army & Marines are in IRAQ , it's because they put them in IRAQ .

If they do not receive social security but are on an elite retirement plan not available to the people, it's because they want it that way (and believe me, they do!).

There are no insoluble government problems.

Do not let these 545 people shift the blame to bureaucrats, whom they hire and whose jobs they can abolish; to lobbyists, whose gifts and advice they can reject; to regulators, to whom they give the power to regulate and from whom they can take this power. Above all, do not let them con you into the belief that there exists disembodied mystical forces like 'the economy,' 'inflation,' or 'politics' that prevent them from doing what they take an oath to do.

Those 545 people, and they alone, are responsible.

They, and they alone, have the power.

They, and they alone, should be held accountable by the people who are their bosses provided the voters have the gumption to manage their own employees.


Why don't we just vote ALL of them out of office and clean up their mess!

This bail out has everything to do with PMI (private mortgage insurance).

All you folks out there paying PMI on your mortgage: 

Wasn't you told that you have to insure your loan because you were high risk?

If there was such a thing as PMI... mortgage companies would not need money for a bail outs.

If a bail out was needed, where did the money for private mortgage insurance go?

WHAT HAPPENED TO THE INSURANCE THAT PEOPLE HAVE PAID FOR?

PMI is just a lie to make poor people pay more.
