When I first started raising a family I already practiced the golden rule and I discovered Dr. Zuess.  He told a story about these yellow people with Stars on their Chest who thought they were superior to those without Stars.  It was a simple story, but it was a wonderful example to my children that no matter what color, race, or nationallity you are, somebody is always going to think they are better.  Hitler tried to breed a race of blond blue eyed people.  I always thought they were orignately cave drewlers.  Lol.  I myself have been classified as Negro, Colored, Black, Afro-American and so on.  My sister recently mailed me an article saying we were really Hispanic.  I really lol.  Racism will always be a part of society.   It's hateful!  It's a form of Jealousy.  It goes all the way back to Cain and Abel and a famous book called the Bible.  So does the golden rule.

Dr. "Zuess" hit it on the head in his simplified way, but I think the measage that a lot of people may have missed from the Star Bellied Sneeches story is how McBean(the guy who came with the machines that applied and removed the stars from their bellies) drained them of all their money and then left saying,"You can't teech a Sneech" Now that reminds me of another real life story.

Born and raise in Detroit, there has been 3 world series won by the Detroit Tigers in my life time this will make number 4. I am old enough to remember 2. I went to Northwester high school with one of the 1968 Detroit Tigers, "Willie Horton" The first High School player to hit a ball out of Tiger Stadium, used to be known as Briggs Stadium. Yes I'm a tiger fan for life. I stayed in San Diego when we won in 1984. I had to watch the celebration on TV. It's true Detroit is a sports town all the way. I remember Gordy Howe, Dave Bing, Al Kaline, Barry Sims. I love Detroit.
