Now you can't blame Obama for this, but it was the biggest drop since a Pesident got elected.  Now we are in Day 2 of a decline.  Maybe we need to have Congress help?  Oh wait, they got us into this mess.  Before you people jump on the Bush Bashing Bandwagon, I would like some of you educated people research Barny Franks, Chris Dodd and others and see why this happened.  If I get 3rd grade answers, I'll just delete it.  I'm figuring my Second Amendment rights might be going away, at least I can control my First for now.....................

Actually the market peaked in October of last year and has been in decline since. This would make it about DAY 350 of the decline.

Many informed people belive it was the failure of Baer-Sterns that injected fear into the financial market, and from that point, fear-based selling has driven the market to historical lows.

If you want to know who is at fault, it might hurt, but it is the American citizen who is responsible for his elected officuials, and it is our individual responsibility to enforce the Constitution.

Read "The Declaration of Independance", the section about those that know about a problem are responsible for fixing it.

I shoulder a larger portion of the blame because I represent my children, so have more per capita responsibility than a childless adult.

Although I wrote Bush sometimes daily, advised him against going into Iraq, told him repeatedly he was doing the wrong thing, he didn't listen to me, he never even wrote back.

I have stacks of letters from my congressional reps, and most of them agree with my positions, but alas, they also were lacking when it came to enforcing and protecting the Constitution.

At the risk of beating a dead horse, propping up the oil industry removed energy from the free market. That started in 1952 in Iran.

The blowback from that was the hostages in the 1970's, the Beirut bombing in 1982, the USS Cole, both 1991 and 2001 WTC bombings, and the insurgent uprisings across the mideast.

As the US uses force to deliver a message, the blowback will continue. Bombings have resurged in Bagdad.

Why?

bye-bye, and you don't think it's going to continue to spiral down under HUSSEIN NOBAMA's REIGN OF TERROR?

If you think it's going to get better, you're sadly mistaken my friend.

Oh, I think it will go down, but I would like to give him a chance. But I'm waiting when he's in office for a few years than things don't improve and this Congress destroys what left of this country, I want to know how the Liberals are going to blame this on everybody but themselves.

I agree shock, I believe the big three will come back, and strong, if they get the help. Lets see if Paulson does what he needs to before he spends it all up on the greedy financial execs who want to keep living the high life.
