"We spend more in 3 weeks in Iraq than 7 years in Afghanistan"?

"NO to new coal energy"?

"I asked a guy at a gas station, how much to fill your tank"?

There's more, but to the sheep out there, if Biden said, "What flavor kool-aid do you want"?  what flavor will you say?

Biden has tree decades of experience . Of course , he has been wrong on every single issue , but , that's democratic experience for you .

I believe the Afghanistan comment is correct. It is also true that Iraq has the billions in its pocket. Iraq President Malicki has said he wants a timetable for the U.S. to leave, probably so they can spend those billions putting their mark on the rebuilding we've done there.
I would just like to know why we do not protect our own borders. Could it be because we don't respect anyone else's? The Administration condemns those who come into Iraq to fight but they have no problem with people crossing our borders illegally.
Biden might be having kool-aid with his nanny or gardener who in a debate he said those who come here illegally do those jobs for us. I don't know of one family that can afford either of those.

Iraq should be footing most of the bill for our aid to them. we (USA) sshould not be paying to rebuild their country, they have more than enough money to take care of themselves. What is sad is that our politicians are quicker to aid other countries,an fix thier problems than they are taking care of their own. Our tax money, the poloticians don't pay taxes we do and they are very free at spending it, and giving it away to other countries and screw the common man. Just look at the Bail out.average Americans have been loosing their homes for the past two years, nothing was done to help them but when the wealthy suffer now our politicians step up and help them, not the average joe like you and me. And it is both parties that are screwing us over the republicans have been trying to get rid of the unions, while the democrats who claim they are for the working man but have allowed there to be right to work states and have not passed needed legislation to protect the rights of the workers. We need a third national political pary. the republicans and democrats fight too much amung each other and all they have done is fill their own pockets and sat back while ourjobs are leaving the country and our wages are being cut( but they dont take a pay cut, even though they deserve it). Most of the blame saddly falls on the shoulders of US the American people because we have given this country to the wealthy and the politician, because the poeple have gotten lazy through the good times, too many have stopped voting, getting involved, and staying informed. It is time for Americans to take Ame

Thanks for the kind words..
As to Longshots remarks.. I've come to realize there are just some folks out there who, no matter the circumstances, just do not get it. They take whatever is "fed" to them by the liberals as gospel and thats that. Its a shame but thats just the way it is...
What I worry about is not those who do, but those of us who do not and think about the conquences of what will... more will.. happen with Obama and the entire socialist movement that seems to be a plaque on our society today.
Brace yourself...
With Obama in the Oval Office and a totally Democratic (Socialist) congress in controll of The Republic... what has been happening will seem like the "good ole days"
Got to wonder what I keep doing wrong.. Seems someone out there in the MyFoxDetroit world doesnt seem to think much of the last serval post... LOL... Must not be putting enough "shock value" into them or something!!
Anywho, again.. thanks for the kind words.

whatwhenwhyhow,

The money that cost us every month goes to both wars. Yes, you're correct he wants a time table, but not what Obama wants. Did you realized when we invaded Iraq, Al Qaeda flooded Iraq to fight us? Do you realize that 90% of the fighting there are not against Iraqis? I know it's hard to understand what's going on there. You're only source is the Media and they're about 95% wrong. Also have you noticed it's been about 2 years that you don't see an embedded reporter with the Soldiers. Why is that? Because this Media wants us to lose and they feed you CRAP to sway public opinion. You can say I'm wrong, I was there 05-06, when the Surge was getting ready to kick off.

Thanks Duck!

Do you live by Helen, GA? If you do, I love the Octoberfest there. Good times!!!

Nope... Blue Ridge actually... While Helen is really not all that far up the road.. its just bloody crowded for me.. But then again, its really starting to get that way here now as well. All the "flat0landers" moving up here from Atlanta and Cobb Country, mostly due to both the schools being a hellva lot better and much lower taxes...
Shouldnt complain through... Getting ready to move to Charleston SC as soon as they are finished with all the renovations... Bought there bout 5 months back...in Ion... While the house is only like 3 years old, there were a lot of things I wanted done to get it the way I want.. This will be THE LAST move I will ever make... and this one is "my dream house"... LOL

bye-byeMI, don't know why you were in Iraq when the surge was getting ready to kick off but am glad you are back safely.
First, the money that it cost each month going to both wars? What is the percentage split inclusive of all the mercenaries, tribal sects, etc. that our government pays. Experts on the Middle East went on record before the war as saying that it would result in a civil war but they weren't listened to. If you watched 60 minutes today you would've heard from a commander in Delta Force who said someone higher up than him turned down their plan to capture Bin Laden. There was a lot more to the story but I don't want to get into a sidebar on it if you didn't watch it since I'm not certain who you believe and what your roll in Iraq was or is.
Our source is not just the media but also our government who it has been proven has manipulated us from the start.
I am not an Obama or McCain supporter and feel this election is again about the better of two bad choices.
Lose? Win? What exactly do those terms mean in Iraq? Isn't that just a label our government puts on war?

If you believe in clean coal technology, then you probably also believe in safe cigarettes. You like that cozy spin, don't ya? Clean coal. Yeah...sounds good.

We do need to get off of oil & become energy self sufficient. That way we won't need to give a cr@p what Russia, Iran, Saudia Arabia or Venezuela are doing because we wont be dependent on them for bleeping oil. Yes? They won't be able to hold it over our heads & hold us political captives to their demands.

But why coal? How many coal miners have to die in collapsed or flooded mines? How many communities need to be destroyed by strip mining? How much pollution do you really want in your air & water?

The technology is here for clean energy. Surely we can all agree that clean air & water is good for us all.
Lets use it & move ahead out of the dark ages of oil & coal.
Check out T. Boone Pickens website. I wish that guy were running for President. Energy independence IS the biggest issue facing America.

White coal or clean coal? That would be in contrast to the dirty coal utilized in China. I thought I heard clean vs. dirty coal.

You're correct, Kmestis. You did make reference to "clean" coal. The same term was used during the 2nd debate between Senators Obama and McCain.

Did you know that according to the Bureau of Labor statistics, mining and the health care industry are growing more than any other profession?

I knew health care was. Sorry to hear that mining is, tho.
I want to hear the same about solar, wind, geothermal & fuel cells...the clean stuff.

My future brother-in-law works for a company in Marysville, Ohio; one that is working to mass produce hydrogen fuel cells for cars. He figures it's about 8 years off before they can be made safe enough for use in cars. Unfortunately, his company wants him to go to Japan to market the cells. I'm asking: Why not in America? Why aren't the Big 3 interested?

Its funny when the politicians try to explain the science behind new energy plans. all they are good for is writting a check and letting the real scientist figure it out.

That is awesome about what your future brother in law is doing!
The only thing that comes out of the tail pipe is water vapor.
Honda already has their FCX fuel cell vehicle in limited production. Have you seen it on their web site? There are a few people driving it in Southern California. It's great looking too.
Hmm, why aren't the Big 3 interested? That my friend is the million dollar question. Does your future brother in law have any idea about that?
