My best friend asked me to write a blog this morning about something we saw last night at the Blues game. When it comes to wearing socks and choosing which color to wear, do you match your socks to your shirt or jacket you are wearing, your pants, your shoes, your purse, etc? We are looking for a big response here so we can do our own poll.

Keeping everyone in great style! :-)

For the winter time and around home I crochet my own socks, boy! are they warm. If I go out I usually match my socks to the color of my shirt/blouse. Unless I don't have any that match then I try to match to my pants
I never match to my shoes though.

It depends on the atire. Casual I wear my Birks so I wear white shoe liners with them. With my suits it depends on the color of the suit, black with black, etc. Business casual I usually find a pattern that brings the color of the slacks together with the shoes unless I am wearing black on black or brown on brown. Hope this helps.

I only have white socks now, but when I was 19-20 yrs old I always matched my socks to the color of my shirt. I even did it to my baby girls when they were younger. Drove my husband nuts with my color coordinating. (sometimes Id even paint their nails to match) hehe.

I don't bother trying to match. I usually only wear little white socks...

However, I have Halloween socks for October and Christmas socks for December. I have a couple of pair of wool socks for those "I'm gonna be outside in the cold" days. I have one pair of thin, black trouser socks to wear with what Jeff likes to call my "Dominatrix" boots.

I think of my socks kind of like I think of my hair~keep it short and simple!

Always... socks to match pants and shoes...
This is entertaining to read all of these comments about socks...LOL I never really thought that there could be so many opinions about socks...very funny! Does anyone else have the problem of losing one sock? What is up with that? Where do they go? Now that too would be a good topic for another post...Haha

I believe I read someplace that mens socks should match their pants, it supposedly makes them look taller. For women I don't think there is a rule. Me, I love to wear colored socks. I also love great colored tennis shoes. Wallmart had some keds knockoffs in all colors. I bought 2 pair in all the colors. I wear one set in the garden. and one set for fun...the orange ones get worn now...with black socks. Back to the socks. I have lots of white ones for every day..I save my great colored ones for going out (love purple socks). Love to wear a shoes (one of each color) with socks to match on the opposite feet (I usually pick them to match the colors in my blouse). My red "keds" of course are worn with with socks to Cardinals games. (white socks because the red ones rub off on the hems of the white jeans I wear.) Loosing socks, I thought that was one of the life rules..Washing machines must eat at least one sock a month. Of course we have this dog that thinks socks that are new, used, worn or clean are her babies. She will root in visiting relatives' suit cases to find socks and steal them. We have found that lost socks are a fact of life. (if we miss a sock the first place we look is in the dog's bed) She actually sits and licks her chops when she sees you putting on your socks in the morning.

Aside from my work at Fox 2, I am also the host of The Health & Fitness show on KMOX Sundays from 1-3pm. I have been the Head Fitness Trainer at Riverchase of Fenton for almost 9 years. I also write a health article for Streetscape Magazine in St. Charles. As for my personal hobbies, some of my greatest passions in life all relate to music. I have been singing and dancing since I was 3. I have also been an athlete since I was a kid, excelling in the sports of soccer, softball and basketball. I am extremely close to my family and miss my father daily. We lost him September 12th 1995. He and my mom would dance and you would think it was poetry in motion. My mother is one of my dearest friends, I have two brothers and a sister, all of whom are older. I am blessed to have many friends and acquaintances. I also love animals and have a beautiful dog named Kyra, who just turned 8 in September. I also adopted Kailei from the Humane Society of Monroe County in May of 2007, she is an amazing puppy. She is being trained by Casey and Shelly Ray with Team Dog St. Louis. I swear they are just like Cesar Milan, The Dog Whisperer. They even have their own little pack :-). Give me my family, friends, a great man that I fall in love with, pets, music, sports, a nice restaurant, a good martini and a sharp sports car and I could live forever! :-) LOL. Thanks for reading.
