Let's Blame The Cheerleaders

O.K....this takes the cake. I'm totally cool with the N-F-L taking a hard stance on the off-the-field problems in the league and the commisioner trying to clean things up a bit. But banning the cheerleaders from performing in front of the opposing team? What? You're kidding, right? Nope . That's the memo sent to teams around the league. I would like to know which team filed that complaint. How bad a season are you having when you resort to blaming the other team's cheerleaders for your struggles. 'Honestly commish, the fact that our quarterback was flat on his back the entire game, was just a symptom of the bigger problem....we can't block their cheerleaders!" I know desperate times call for desperate measures, but let's call on a little accountability here. I doubt very seriously the cheerleaders have cost a team a victory. If they have, you might want to check your team's focus. What do you think?
God Bless!

Let me preface this blog by saying that I am a huge Dallas Mavericks fan. I grew up in Fort Worth and have pulled for the Mavs since they were an expansion team. I remember their first playoff season and I was at the game when Derek Harper dribbled out the clock against the Lakers thinking he was up one when the score was actually tied(the Mavs lost in OT). As for this year's performance against Golden State....WHAT THE HECK WAS THAT?!? You talk about a gutless, heartless performance. Dirk Nowitzki is supposed to be an MVP candidate and all he can muster is 8 points in an elimination game? I'm a Dirk fan, but come on. And maybe it's not all his fault. They tried to make Dirk the leader, and maybe he's not comfortable in that role. There's no leader on that team. There hasn't been a leader on the team since Nash left. 67 wins and a first round exit in the playoffs. They got out-played, out-coached and certainly out-hustled. Something has to change. I know this isn't a basketball town, but let me hear from you ballers out there and let me know what you think about the Mavs collapse.
Peace Out!!!
