I am the proud owner of a new Missouri license plate.  Well, not that proud, because I have a problem with my new tags.  It's not the design or color that gives me grief, it's the numbers....and letters....and numbers and letters.   On my old plate, I had 3 numbers - 3 letters.  Now, there are numbers mixed in with my letters and letters mixed in with my numbers.  Too confusing.  I mean, c'mon.  In this technology driven world we live in with PIN numbers, and employee ID numbers, and passwords, and login names, and passwords for our login names...it was all I could do to remember my 3 numbers - 3 letters license plate.  There is no way I can rember something like 1G5-H9U(or whatever my plate number is!)  They should just let everybody pick their own...free of charge.  If what they want is already taken, go to plan B.   Let's simplify life a little bit so that I have more room in my noggin for the important stuff....like movie quotes from "Raising Arizona!"

Peace!

Tim Ezell

did you have to go to the new plates? I still have my old plates and put my 09 tags on them.

Tim you are too funny!...but I agree that we could certainly simplify things!

I had to put the new plates on both of my rides in June..... I could not tell you what one number or letter is on them...... Maybe no one else will be able to remember it either next week when I pull that bank job and use it for a getaway........ lol

There are SO many things wacky about these new plates - what bozo friend of Blunt's was in on this design, anyway?

Your right about the numbers and letters - not only hard to rememeber your own, but yes, harder to remember if you witness a crime.

But the design!

When whoever was designing these new plates, did they not have an old plate nearby for reference?

I mean, the "Show Me State" as compared to the "Shoe-Me State" on the old one. Correct on the old one. The new one: Not! All the lettering is smaller - are we suddenly ashamed to be from Missouri (they MAY be on to something, here....)?

And I swear, when I see new ones, it just looks like they're NOT FINISHED YET, like something is missing. They look like a template or outline ready to be filled in with something.

But I'm certainly not surprised - look who was running the shop while these were being done!

P.S. I'm excited, Tim! I get my new ones next month! Then I get to ask everyone behind me to Show Me State!

OOOOoooops, okay - maybe I designed the new plate...

Of course, I meant "Show-Me State" on the old one. That's how it appears on the old plates, and THAT is correct!

Actually, I'm kinda surprised the plates DON'T say "Shoe Me State", but I think Brown Shoe Company left the state, didn't they?

I never remember the number anyway on any of our's. But I voted for the bluebird plate and I am dissappointed with the size of the bird.
I think they need to make just a plate that has the state heck wioth the decoration's and wording's.
We just had to get plate's for the rv , Yeap new one's look like car plate's they don't say RV no more. State decided to save money and just have the car plate's for RV's now.

Timmy I miss you in the morning since I went back to work. Maybe I will see you Monday if you are working. But you will probably be off also.

I see more and more new plates on the road...I don't like them....I agree there is something missing.

Mine expire in May and I will either have to join the club or try to get them personalized.

Drive those wonderful plates to other states and see if the reaction is the same. So many drivers will shrug their shoulders up and down? Show me WHAT????? Missouri has a number of silly things that make people really wonder, WHAT WERE THEY THINKING. I think I will just move, bye.........

SikUvTheRite: You are always so irrate about issues. And you have a way of turning everything around onto republicans. I wonder, were you abused by a republican as a child.

Yeah, these new plates are rather bland. I think I may go for a personalized plate with one of the other choices for the background when I renew in November.

I don't like the new plates either. The misspelling of Show-Me also galls me.

I am blogging. I can't believe I didn't do this sooner!!! I've wasted soooo much time NOT blogging. Has my life mattered up to this point? Was I anything before I was a blogger? Does the light stay on in the fridge after I close the door? I am so confused!
