Britain's first identity card in more than half a century was unveiled The other day- British identity cards will be covered in EU symbols.

The proposed ID Card will be different from any card they now hold. It will be connected to a database called the NIR, (National Identity Register) where all of your personal details will be stored. This will include the unique number that will be issued to you, your fingerprints, a scan of the back of your eye, and your photograph. Your name, address and date of birth will also obviously be stored there.

There will be spaces on this database for your religion, residence, sexual tastes, number of partners, medical records status and many other private and personal facts about you. There is unlimited space for every other details of your life on the NIR database, which can be expanded by the Government with or without further Acts of Parliament.

Private businesses are going to be given access to the NIR Database. If you want to apply for a job, you will have to present your card for a swipe.

If you want to apply for a London Underground Oyster Card,or a supermarket loyalty card, or a driving licence you will have to present your ID Card for a swipe. The same goes for getting a telephone line or a mobile phone or an internet account.

This means that each of these entities will be able to store your unique number in their database, and place all your travel, phone records, driving activities and detailed shopping habits under your unique NIR number. These databases, which can easily fit on a storage device the size of your hand.

The government will have clandestine access to all of them, meaning that they will have a complete record of all your movements, from how much and when you withdraw from your bank account to what medications you are taking, down to the level of what sort of bread you eat – all accessible via a single unique number in a central database.

This is quite a significant leap from a simple ID Card that shows your name and face.

More Importantly!!!Your ID Card will, just like your passport, not be your property. The Home Secretary will have the right to revoke or suspend your ID at any time, meaning that you will not be able to withdraw money from your Bank Account, for example, or do anything that requires you to present your government issued ID Card.

If you did not know the full scope of the proposed ID Card Scheme before and you are as unsettled as I am at what it really means to you, to the U.K. and its way of life, I urge you to email or photocopy this and give it to your friends and colleagues and everyone else you think should know and who cares.

Why!! Because, It wont be Long Before This System is Introduced To the American People.

The problem I have with this, like other blog posts, is that you should cite your source.
(http://www.indymedia.org.uk/en/2006/04/338263.html)> In order to gain an intellectual stand, it is important to know the influences that spur this type of information, then, and only then, can we make decisions of its truthfullness, and what it means to us, individually. This is not an indictment of proof of validity, rather an inquisition of the source.
With that being said,
This is an article from a "alternative media" source. I have my doubts. While I agree that there are things in the works for consolidated unions, led by the richest of the rich, I still struggle to grasp the complete conspiracy theory attached to it, that is until it is brought to furition.
I am sure at some point we will all be in the position to have to make decisions regarding legislation that will be presented, and like all legislation, the great percentage of the American public will not seek out the truth that is found within the language in such legislative proposals. We just simply are caught up in to many other facets of our lives to bother (not me personally).

Throughout History people have Overlooked the Early Warning Signs Given to them.

People will Continue to Suffer because they Ignore the Information Until its Too Late for them to do anything about it.

I have previously Included Sources in my post. Sometimes, because the information might be old and/or difficult to find.

Now, This is Not Directed towards You. But

Unfortunately, Certain People want to be Spoon-fed. They Dont want to do Their Own Independent Research. Which i have Always suggested. Simply to avoid a Biased outcome.

I personally use Both Main Stream and Alternative Resources along with Personal Resources. Simply because Main Stream Will Never Truly Inform the Masses.

This Information is All Over The Net.
Just Type in the Key words: uk id Cards. Just that Simple.

Thanks for the reply.

Check out my New Post on Flouride.

I agree, somewhat. Most people cannot presume to be unbiased because of the very nature of our socialization. Even those that proclaim their stands from an objective stand point, hold within them their own subjective ideals. It is important to try and distinguish their subjective analysis so we can understand the perspective presented. If we apply a philosophical view of the concept of spoon-fed, we can always count on Plato to explain it best:

"The unexamined life is not worth living,"

He suggests that it is better to be unhappy and know the truth than to be happy but ignorant. This would of course mean that the truth, as we seek to find it, would ultimately have to help us individually to better ourselves, or better our understanding of the way we perceive ourselves and our surroundings.
Why would anyone seek to find knowledge or wisdom that would not directly benefit themselves? Most do not. How many people would do so for the greater good of all? Not many. this is true probably because they ignore the fact that specifically in politics, the truth that is sought is too difficult to find and they put their faith in the elected leaders to do the work.
The flouride information is fairly old news. It is scary, but I reserve my energy lately to discussions of politics, and usually to the creation of my exhaustion. lol

Confucius said,

"By three methods we may learn wisdom:

First, by Reflection, which is noblest;

Second, by Imitation, which is easiest; and

Third by Experience, which is the bitterest."

In my years of Experiencing people who continue to Ignore the warnings and become victims. I have been equally rewarded with knowing that many people have been Enlightened through my imitations of Leaders who Wave the flag of Knowledge and Awareness.

It is Thoughts of Furthering Humanity that i Reflect on Daily, Which gives me Motivation to continue to awaken and/or remind people of poisons like Flouride and Aspartame.

In the end, It is people like you and I who must atleast make attempts to share knowledge that people may not know.

again, thanks for your reply
