How fast can we go to hell in a hen basket ?

Whenever change is near. Whenever justice should prevail. Whenever humanity has the opportunity to rise up and make the world a better place. This is the time when Hatred, Racism, and Bigotry will most likely rear its ugly head.

It is not some hidden powerful machine that is feeding injustice into the mouths of people. It is not a single powerful entity that is forcing the masses to look away from acts deamed inhumane. By no means is this the determining factor why the chances of peace and harmony in the world seems so far from grasp.

The problem is simply there are too many people who sit by doing nothing, allowing such acts to continue. People who support and protect those people who set out to ruin and destroy other people based on indifferences and greed.

America has many wonderful people of ALL RACES who believe in living and doing whats right not just for their Nationality, family and race, but for the Entire human race. People with genuinely Good hearts and souls. Funny how good hearted people are always the nicest and coolest people to be around. Easy going, easy to talk to, and full of common sense. I wish they were the only people on the planet.

Unfortunately! There are other people who would rather cut off their own nose to spite their face. This is the main reason why this country is in the situation its in now.

Big American companies continue to send jobs out of the country to make more money. Who do we blame? Not the Company owners. We blame the people overseas who accept the jobs. As if we wouldnt do the same thing if the roles were reversed.

The Government invades a country and kills nearly a million innocent people over a Lie. Our soldiers continue to die trying to police a country they massively destroyed. Who do we blame? Not the President or his staff who owns stock in oil and defense companies who are making billions off the war. No! We blame the scattered iraqi people for fighting back. As if we wouldnt do the same if America were ever to be invaded.

Government floods certain communities with drugs. Creating addicts and drug dealers which boost crimes and murder and savagery beyond comprehension. Who do we blame? Not the people who bring the drugs into the country. We blame The Weaker people for taking the drugs to deal with the harsh realities of growing up struggling in america where there is little to no money to survive on.

Government has created an economic prison in the inner cities of america. Creating a system called THE PROJECTS. Which produce little to no opportunities to get OUT, but increases the chances of keeping the majority of people IN. Who do we blame? The People who never made it out because of drugs, peer pressure, crime and a lack of financial opportunties and/or support.

Government has cut off programs to help the poor. stripped the health care system, abandoned the homeless and hungry, turned its back on education funding, shredded the economy, let people lose their homes to foreclosure, But!!! still has Trillions of dollars ready for war funding. Who do we blame? Not the government. We blame The Arab people for terrorism. Mexicans for coming across the border. black people for crime. Indian people for taking jobs overseas. White people for slavery.

Now the people have a chance to change everything that is wrong with this country and a large part of the world by choosing a person who is NOT part of the machine, the establishment, the system, the good ol'boy club. Someone NOT trying to oppress, but rather liberate. A person who knows that other countrys dont hate Americans, they hate the way the government is ran in America. A person who is willing to mend the wrong done to other countries and return the love and respect that America should have as being the greatest country in the world.

No longer! A government ran with Arrogance, hypocrisy, hatred, and racism. A country where a lot of people can care less about what bad happens to other people as long as its not happening to them. A country where people know when wrong is being done to other people, yet instead of helping, they thumb their noses in arrogance and blame the people for being in these unfortunate situations.

Now we a chance to retake this country away from the dictators and give it back to the people. We have a chance to rebuild this country for ALL people. Not just for a few. or for a certain race of people, or a select group of wealthy people, but for All races, and ALL Americans. We have an opportunity to actually do in our own country what we have gone to war in other countries to make them do, and that is to Create a wonderful place to live.

It would be naive to believe everyone would be aboard with the creation of a new America. Where everywhere you go you see peace and harmony and everyone working hard to build the country into a paradise right here on earth. Yep! that would be naive, especially from reading other posts and comments, but as i said earlier. People would rather cut off their own nose to spite their face. Its no mistake why across america the people are catching hell. If you take a look around sometimes you'll see why too. Its Karma !!!!

This is a classic liberal.

I bet he just loves marx i believe this is exactly what was said in russia in 1917.

Funny in this country if you work hard you can be anything you want, but these liberals think it is owed to them

You had me fooled ThoughtManifest I was certain this was written by Longshot. You two should meet up for coffee and trade liberal garbage that will allow thousands to have died for nothing. Try not to choke on each others rationalizations.

Antone on thisearth who still does not believe we went to war over a lie are just plain dumb. There is no excuse for this type of stupidity anymore. I am the first person to say we now must win this war because pulling out will cause a greater harm than the original illegal invasion. We destroyed these people's home and now we have to fix it. But for anyone to still say the war was justified is simply ignorant.

No one here said Bush didn't lie us into Iraq. Although Hussein was a foul dictator and needed to be dealt with, the immediate target was Bin Laden when we had him cold in Afghanistan. History can't be fixed but pulling out of Iraq would be foolish militarily and also would spit in the faces of our fallen soldiers, again. Try not to read into other folks statements things that aren't there linuxlvr.

"The theory of the Communism may be summed up in the single sentence: Abolition of private property."
"From each, according to his ability; to each, according to his needs."
"Communism deprives no man of the ability to appropriate the fruits of his labour. The only thing it deprives him of is the ability to enslave others by means of such appropriations."
"Democracy is the road to socialism."
"Let the ruling classes tremble at a Communist revolution. The proletarians have nothing to lose but their chains. They have a world to win. Working men of all countries, unite!"
–Karl Marx

I suggest you read up on developemnt psychology. The first three stages food, sex,and power- drive the ego to survive. And sadly very few of us evolve past these stages. That is why we have so few Mother Theresas, and Gandis. To point blame solely towards the government is letting people off the hook to being responsible for their life.

Great message, Manifest.

It is hard to find people here who see beyond the capitalist propaganda.

There was a time when just working hard was enough... that's not the case anymore.
People need to stop thinking that if the government helps their own people to get on their feet, it is Communism, and it is bad, because that's not "democracy". I have no idea what these people think a government is there for if not using taxpayers money to help taxpayers.

Worrying about their own agenda and trying to justify an oil war by scaring the country into thinking that "the world is out to get America" is not what a government is supposed to be here for.

The rest of the world (and I speak as a foreign) had no problems with America before they started trying to interfere on what other countries should do or believe in. Saddam Hussein was a nasty dictator, but who is Bush to judge him??? How does a country who preaches FREEDOM do so much to eliminate other countries' freedom to run their own business.

Also, being an American does not mean you have a god-given right to a job more than anyone in India. American companies imposed capitalism to the world and have taken advantage from every other country and sucked up all of the worlds resources in order to build their empire. Jobs from everywhere else were here in the US; they hired technicians, teachers, engineers and scientists from all over the world. Do not forget that your grandparents were immigrants and THEY built the country you live now.
And now that the rest of the world is growing too and catching up, Americans are

And now that the rest of the world is growing too and catching up, Americans are not as productive and untouchable anymore. Those people in India or China are not just cheap... they can do the same job, faster, and for less money. They are not evil, they are not the bad guys. It's pure business, a matter of competition... it's the system created by America. And now that the system is not working in their favor, they complain, instead of trying to compete and do better. I'm sorry, but people need to start understanding that globalization applies for everyone, and no one is untouchable.

GOVERNMENT, CAPITALISM, GLOBALIZATION. I HAVE OFTEN WONDERED IF THE MEN AND WOMEN OF WORLD WAR 2 HAD A TIME TUNNEL THAT COULD LOOK INTO THE FUTURE, HOW MANY OF THEM WOULD HAVE SAID. "YOU MEAN YOU WANT TO GO RISK MY LIFE AND LIMB IN GERMANY AND JAPAN AND IN 50 YEARS THESE COUNTRIES WILL BE THE ONES TAKING JOBS FROM MY KIDS AND MY COUNTRY, ARE YOU NUTS "

Paula, The government is here to help taxpayers with taxpayers money? More then half the people that the government is "helping" with welfare are NOT taxpayers and have never been. They live off the system from generation to generation and think the gov. owes them for some reason. Yes its ok for the gov. to help someone but for some there should be limit's because they need to get off their lazy butt's and help theirself. Yes Saddam was a nasty dictator and a evil evil man, but in no way was the people or that country free. I agree we need to stay out of other countries business but that is in more ways then one, alot of people would starve if not for the U.S.A. and those countries use us to their advantage. As for jobs, I'm sick to death of calling somewhere where I do business and all of a sudden someone that I can hardly understand is on the other end of the line because the company moved to get cheap labor. It's their business where they take their company but if their profiting off america and the american people they should be taxed up the butt. If america is'nt good enough for their companies why don't they move with their company? Because though we have problems and faults this is the best place to live. If they don't belive that then maybe they need to go someplace else.

Paula,

Is it that it's the War with Iraq that bothers you? Or going into countries in general? So you agree with the United States going into Bosnia, Kosovo, bombing Serbia, Haiti, Somilia, a military presence all over the world? Bush didn't judge him, he took action, the United Nations and most of the countries judged him for over 12 years by putting santions on Iraq.
Paula, question for you, why did you come here? I'm thinking of the opportunity this country offers. I don't see people leaving the United States unless they WANT to, not because they have to.

byebye MI,
It's not just the Iraq war that bothers me. It is the interference the US tries to force on every other country.
I do agree the action against Afghanistan was necessary, since they did hide Osama Bin Laden and Osama attacked America. That was somewhat justified.

But I do not understand why the US feels it can do the United Nations' job on fixing other countries problems when those countries are not even asking for help, and I cannot be innocent enough to believe they really are interested in making those countries a better place. I do believe the US has their own agenda when putting their finger in someone else's business. I do not like that, because I know I wouldn't like it if the US was trying to make decisions for my country and intervene in our affairs (thank God that hasn't happened yet) just to defend their interests (in Iraq's case, it is pretty obvious the interest is OIL).

Imagine if some country tried to come here and control everything by saying they think the way you do things is wrong. The US has their own problems at home and I think taxpayers money and the attention of the government should be spent here, not overseas.

(CONTINUED)

Answering your question, I came here because an American company bought my father's company in Brazil. His company started a new division in this new company. They bought 99% of the shares of his company but still wanted him to run it for them. After returning all of their investments in profits, they asked him to run the Global organization of his division from the US. So, me, my parents and my brother had to come here because of that.
Conveniently, I had just graduated from high school, so my dad thought it would be a good opportunity for me to have an overseas experience and I started college here.

Our life in Brazil is awesome, so it's not like we need to be here. We actually have a better standard of life in Brazil, since my dad was an entrepreneur and we are well off over there, and here we are treated like we are third world outcasts. For this reason (adding to the fact that we miss our family over in Brazil, and our country), my brother moved back when he finished High School, and my parents moved back in December last year, since he can run his organization from virtually anywhere in the world.
I have just finished college, and am doing my internship here at FOX. Unless I get a very good job offer somewhere here in the US which I couldn't refuse, I will move back as well by this year's end.

I believe the US is a good country for immigrants that have NOTHING in their home country and are desperate to go somewhere else. The US is a big and powerful country, so they come here, with the hope that their lives will be better. They can make a better living here in sub-jobs, than if they would be performing these same jobs in their own country. In that scenario, coming to the US brings them advantages, even if they are treated like third world trash and don't ever fit in.

But when people have great conditions in their own country (like my family), they don't see many advantages in coming to a different country, being treated as trash (when you are very well respected at home), and being away from their family. America is a good country, full of opportunities, but not for those who are already established citizens somewhere else. That's why many higher-income/class foreigns usually come here just for the international experience (usually from 1 to 4 years maximum) or to study abroad, but have no interest in settling here.
