I can't really talk about it on the air, since it would be promoting another network (shame, shame)- but I can blog about just about anything!  :)

Have you been watching the Olympics from Beijing?  I have missed a lot of sleep because I can't get myself to turn off the gymnastics coverage at night!  Thank goodness that's over.

My favorite so far has definitley been the men's 4x100 freestyle relay in which Jason Lezak had the swim of his life to put the U.S. ahead of the trash talking Frenchies.  It was an unbelievable finish, and helped give Phelps one of his EIGHT golds!  That, and watching Usein Bolt just destroy everyone in his path- that is without a doubt the fastest thing I've ever seen, unbelievable.  He's like superhuman.

What are your faves?

No doubt....Phelps kept me glued to my HDTV......Bolt was like Lightning.....and seeing the look on the faces of the Olympians from small impoverished countries like Angola at the Opening Day Ceremonies....they were in awe of the spectacle of it all.

My Favorite Is The U.S. Women & Men Basketball Is Dominating The Entire Olympic B-Ball Hardwood and They Haven't Been Beating By Any Other Team.

Women's beach volleyball. Or, whatever it is that they are playing. The game is not the point, if you know what I mean! ;)

So far it's nothing but Swimming and Basketball.

Swimming: Michael Phelps, and the 4x100 Relay, despite of the French comments. And Dara Torres doing it at age 41. I guess age is nothing but a number.

Basketball: The Redeem Team is doing something that the last team didn't do - Win every game. And the women are doing the same. Both teams going for the Gold Medal.

Usain Bolt reminds me of Michael Johnson 12 years ago, with his speed.

I hear ya Basher, those suits just keep getting smaller and smaller! :)

I haven't seen any of the basketball stuff- are they showing it on network tv or the other all-Olympic channels?

I was watching the men's diving the other night. H-m-m-m-m, apparently on the USA, China, and Canada were competing. At least that is all that we saw. Did none of the other countries show up? Also, where is the weightlifting? It's one of my favorite Olympic events. I haven't seen it on TV save for some video of the poor guy who dislocated his elbow. On the whole, NBC's coverage stinks. We are only getting snapshots of selected events and competitors. Sorta like only following the car in the lead at a stopck car race.

For pete's sake, at least show us the USA competitors in weightlifting or shooting or some of the other events.

I really loved the girls gymnastics. Tonight I read online that they are saying that the
Chineese girl He really isn't 16. They are loooking into records that say she is younger as was stated earlier. I think that the USA should've gotten the Gold when there was the tie. Hey ties happen everywhere. Either give it to both of them or make them do something extra for a tie breaker. Does anyone else have any other feelings about this. Well anyways way to go USA in everything. Way to make us proud!!

Phelps had to have been the most overly-hyped Olympian ever.
.....what made his feat even greater was the fact that he lived up to that hype & exceeded it!

All The Basketball Stuff, they are showing on all the networks they are carrying the Olympics.

I don't know all the channels by heart, but you can catch them playing on the weekends early in the morning by 8AM or 9AM on Saturdays and Sundays on NBC.

And the best part about watching the Olympics is that it's LIMITED COMMERCIAL INTERRUPTION. I LOVE IT.

Funny thing today that I was watching the USA vs Argentina Basketball game today on NBCOlympics.com. It was a live game,(no interuptions of commericals) and thing was around 10:30am, NBC was just starting to show the game! That must a scheduling fault of thinking that the game was "live" than recorded. I think the stations like USA, MSNBC, CNBC, Oxygen and others probably show simulcasts of games including basketball.

The NBCOlympics Website was the first and last site I go to before TV picks it up.

I know one thing, I never want to see another beach volleyball game again. There are so many sports that had no air time and beach volleyball was always on. Come on NBC, like that is a sport to start with.
