Two Wolves

One evening an old Cherokee Indian was telling his grandson about a battle that goes on inside every person on the planet.

He said, "My son, the battle is between two 'wolves'inside us all.
One is Evil. It is anger, envy, jealousy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego.

The other is Good. It is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion and faith."

The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather:
 "Which wolf wins?"

The old Cherokee simply replied, "The one you feed."

When you have a "I Hate My Job" day, try this: On your way home from
work, stop at your pharmacy and go to the thermometer section and
purchase a rectal thermometer made by Johnson & Johnson. Be very sure you get this brand.

When you get home, lock your doors, draw the curtains and disconnect
the phone so you will not be disturbed. Change into very comfortable
clothing and sit in your favorite chair. Open the package and remove the
thermometer. Now, carefully place it on a table or a surface so that it will not become chipped or broken. Now the fun part begins.
Take out the literature from the box and read it carefully. You will notice that in small print there is a statement:  "Every Rectal Thermometer made by Johnson & Johnson is personally tested and then sanitized ". Now, close your eyes and repeat out loud five times, "I am so glad I do not work in the thermometer quality control at Johnson & Johnson."

SIGN IN A STORE WINDOW

"WE WOULD RATHER DO BUSINESS WITH 1,000 AL-QAEDA TERRORISTS THAN WITH ONE SINGLE Canadian"

This sign was prominently displayed in the window of a business in Vancouver . You are probably outraged at the thought of such an inflammatory statement. One would think that anti-hate groups from all across the country would be marching on this business ... and that the RCMP might have to be called to keep the angry crowds back. But, perhaps in these stressful times one might be tempted to let the proprietors simply make their statement . . We are a society which holds Freedom of Speech as perhaps our greatest liberty. And after all, it is just a sign.

You may ask what kind of business would dare post such a sign?

I am an American Indian. I developed Muscular Dystrophy in 2001 at the ripe old age of 44. I spend my days mostly on line and with my wife, and kids. I guess you could say I'm a Democrat but I am most interested in what any candidate can do to improve the world in which we live. I know I really spell poorly but I take solace in the fact that neither could Einstein. LOL
