Governor Romney: Dad And Son

Former Michigan Governor George Romney, God rest his soul, borrowed money from the State Employee Retirement Fund to balance the state budget a few decades ago. Was the money ever paid back? I could be wrong, but I heard it was not paid back.

If Mitt Romney is chosen as the Republican candidate for president, would he follow his dad's lead if faced with a federal budget crisis?

Im sure he is his own man and will run things a different way. Its not like the name Detroit Lions that trick us every year! LOL

Question is why is there a state employee retirement fund? They should do like the rest of us and have and opurtunity for a 401K and have the state match up to 5%! And then when they retire they can live on Meidcare like the rest of us. Why do municipal, state and federal employees get pensions? Screw that from most that I have known they could not keep a real job! Why should our taxes pay their health care after retirment and a pension. Ask your local city and state to only offer 401K and stop the health insurance when they retire and see how much money we have over budget and how much we can lower taxes!
