What was your experience like?  How long did you wait in line?  Did you experience any problems?  Was it a smooth experience?  Were you treated well?  Are you grateful for the volunteers? Are you frustrated?  Did you file a complaint?  Do you need to? Are you inspired by the record turnout?

Their was one person in front of me in line at the polling place. I smuggled a camera into the booth with me and recorded myself voting on video. Like many others I'm a first time voter and enjoyed my experience.

However my sister who lives in brooklyn had a rough time. The voting machines were broken and she had to use a paper ballot. She said she will be 'pissed' if Obama loses because she knows George Bush is the one who messed up her machines.

AllAmerican I agree with you, Bush is the one to blame!! Anyway I had a great experience @ the polls. I am ecstatic with voter turnout. I am so ready for change I can taste it.! Soooooo ready 4 Obama!!

It is definitely time to automate this process. I cannot believe that we still use a scantron with all the technology we have at our fingertips these days. I would have much rather just logged onto a website and cast my vote. If I can securely manage my money online or go to an ATM and simply put in a card and a pin and get cash, why can't I vote online?

I vote in Van Buren Township (Belleville mailing addy 48111). On my voter registration card (as well as my husband's) it clearly says I vote at the Haggerty Road school in which is precinct 8 and voted here since I moved here almost six years ago so we had no reason to think differently. My husband and I were not on the list there so they sent us to precinct #9, after a two hour wait they told us no that is not your place either. They sent us to yet another place on Tyler Rd. where we lined up for precinct #3 only to be told nope we needed to walk all the way around the building where we ended up in a long line at our correct place precinct #4.

It's ridiculous, we were never informed of any change in our voting place and it is inexcusable that we had to go to four different polling places. At my final polling place I asked who the clerk was currently and they asked why. I said because I want to make sure that whoever is in charge of this fiasco is not re-elected. I have been voting since I was 18, am an educated woman and I should not have to jump through hoops to vote. Shame on Van Buren Township and Wayne County for allowing this to happen on a historic and important day. My husband ended up being over 20 minutes late to work even though we gave ourselves ample time to vote (well over two hours)

How is this fair at all? We cannot have been the only ones effected. I hate to think about all those people who would have lost their right to vote just because they made it so difficult.

My wife & I went to our local voting school at about 10 am. There were only about 5 people in front of us, the workers were very courteous and we voted without incident. We even bought some homemade baked goodies at a table. The weather in our region was spectacular! I am indeed amazed at the turnout but wish most of the "first-time voters" )not teens, etc)and "concerned citizens" would have exercised their right to vote in past elections.

I voted in ferndale, and waited about an hour.
The overall experiance was great.....
The thing that make me mad though is, watching tv, and seeing black people 40-50 years old and older, voting for the first time...If you are 50 yaers old and you have never voted before, you should NOT be able to vote at all.
It makes it seem that they are voting for someone, just because of the color of his skin,
and that is just plain wrong....
I voted for obama because I liked his platform, and like the idea of change. I started voting when i was 18, and have never missed a vote......

I can honestly say that this was my sister and my first time voting and the experience was not bad at all. The people in line were quite friendly, and I didn't stand in line for long. I was in and out of the polls within an hour and I got there at 9:00 a.m. So the line wasn't bad at all. I felt really good because I feel like I made a difference, especially being nine months pregnant and due anyday now. So, I was happy that I got to vote in this historical election.

I voted early in Georgia on Oct. 27th. I waited 3 hours in line in the cold. I brought a chair and bundled up. It went fairly well though. The people around me were nice. I voted straight Republican ticket.

I voted absentee because work had me scheduled from 6 am to 9pm, but I made my fiance vote after he started complaining about the political problems but said he had never registered to vote.
YOU HAVE NO RIGHT TO COMPLAIN unless you have registered to vote AND have voted.

I'll never vote again in the city of Detroit. For the second Presidential vote in a row, I have been threatened with violence due to being white. From now on, it's absentee voting for me - that is until I can flee this racist city.

I had no problem. I was an absentee voter and I voted three weeks ago.

I am writing this because I believe the above is a lie. For now, disregard who won the election. I am referring to the fact that they advertise like mad that "every vote counts". You hear it on the radio, you hear it on the tv you see it advertised on billboards, and signs all over. However, the sad truth is that the votes are still not all counted. Less than an hour ago all the votes were not in and the race was close. Obama at 49% and McCain at 48%. Now I am not saying that Obama would not have won. This is not to express anger that all voters did not see what I saw and vote for the candidate I chose. I fully conceid that it is quite possible that Obama will still win the final count. However, I do not feel that my vote meant a damned thing, nor did yours. This dictatorship that they hid behind the falsities of a free democracy had already chosen our next president and merely put on the pretense of a free election. My father has never voted in his life, every presidential election he has told me simply that my vote doesnt count anyways. Now, after two presidential elections in which they have announce a winner while I watched that some states still had not reported ANY of there counts yet they announced a winner, I have sent my voter registration card to the shredder. Why bother? They made the choice to announce Obama and McCain says, "Okay I admit defeat" and yet the national count was still at 52%. So i ask again, how is it that my vote counted when all the votes were not counted before they announced the winner. I have lost all faith in the democratic process. That be

I agree with tifanne1217 to an extent. They announced the results of WVa before our votes had even gotten to the courthouse. I was furious by the time I got home because I heard the results on the radio and I know from working the polls that most of the votes had not gotten to the court house by 8pm. I felt like my vote along with others votes and the time we spent counting them was all wasted time. The polls didn't even close until 7:30pm which is when the race was called for our state.

WE WILL ROCK YOU!

TOGETHER WE CAN MAKE A CHANGE!

The Voters Have Spoken! Together We Can Make A Change!

The voters have spoken, but I don’t believe this was a mandate for the Democrats. It was a mandate for Obama’s promises of cooperation and bipartisanship, of treating each other with respect and dignity. It was a vote for the hope of a Washington that functions for the good of the American people.

Can Obama lead America to that reality, as he has promised? Time will tell. But, as Obama has said, getting there requires all Americans. It’s not something he can do by himself. It’s a challenge to all of us to work together so our nation can see better days.

Thank you for taking the time to look
at this booklet. President Barack Obama and Vice President Joe Biden’s Plan for America
