Who do you think won the debate?  Even though tonight's debate between John
McCain and Barack Obama is supposed to focus on foreign policy, you
shouldn't be surprised to hear some discussion of the economy.

Moderator Jim Lehrer of PBS is indicating that he won't be
constrained by the boundaries negotiated by the two campaigns
months ago, considering the crisis facing the financial system.

So how do you think the candidates did on the issue of Foreign Policy?
Who did better on the economy?
Who won overall?

Did the debate help you decide?

Obama is one of the most unorganized, stuttering, ammature so called leader ive ever seen.He cant even read his que notes right! I know so many people who are in Iraq...they hate it, but they are proud. They said it is so much better there now. MCcain has put his ass on the line when he served our country! He was a pow for 5 years and had broken bones from head to toe! His dad,who was a general was about to bail him out 3 yrs into his pow, but john MCcain refused because there were other people there before him, and wanted them out before him...so, he stayed another 2 yrs... I want THAT kind of person to be our next president!

McCain did a a better job on all issues individually and overall. He is a much better speaker than Obama and appears to be more familiar with all the issues discussed.

Several times Obama called McCain by the wrong name. How will he ever run this county if he doesn't even know who he is running against.

So how do you think the candidates did on the issue of Foreign Policy?

They both failed miserably. Neither really addressed the fact that diplomacy is the key to foreign policy. Should we be talking to Iran? Sure, but it should come with pre-conditions. The first being a demand that the Iranian President publicly apologize for his statements calling for the destruction of Israel. As a President I would make this demand publicly so that it would put the pressure on the Iranian President to either comply or refute, and then I can take my agrument to the UN stating my willingness to talk, but not with someone who calls for the murder of an entire people. Then the countries of the UN will talk to Iran and encourage them to comply to push the peace process forward. It is stradegy like this that gets the talks started and fosters an atmosphere of cooperation and comprimise. Diplomacy is a little give and take, not ultimatums.

Who did better on the economy?

Neither candidate appropriatly addressed how they would fix the fundamental problems with our economy. Senator McCain mentioned that the system needs reform. Hardly. As President I would call for REAL change. I would use the pulpit of the White House to publicly demand that Congress vote in favor of THE FAIR TAX ACT (H.R. 25 / S. 1025) and repeal the 16th Amendment. If anyone does not know what this is, go to www.fairtax.org and READ THOUROUGHLY. Even Sean Hannity from FOX NEWS is in favor of this, I will post the video of this on my blog: http://community.myfoxdetroit.com/blogs/AverageAL

This fundamental change of our tax system is required. You decide, 66,000 pages of tax regulations or about 137. Which is better? I would, and do, call on all Americans to contact their representative NOW and demand that they pass this legislation.

As far as the bailout, I would demand that we impose a per-transaction fee for all stock trades to pay for the bailout. Simple enough?

Who won overall?

The enemies of America. That is who. Nothing that was talked about in the debate truly represents any real change, just more of the same Democratic or Republican policies, both of which has failed for decades. And lets be certain about one thing, I hate lying, and Speaker Pelosi LIED when this crisis first erupted by stating to the press, "Don't blame us." As you will see from another video on my blog the FACTS PROVE it was the DEMOCRATS' policies that started this, the Republicans sat on their hands, for the most part. Only Senator McCain tried to avert this crisis in 2005. Go to http://community.myfoxdetroit.com/blogs/AverageAL

for more.

Thank you and good night.

It was evident that one candidate made the effort of explaining how he would procede into the future; and the other kept talking about the past without any real explanation of how he would conduct business.

So foreign affairs was supposed to be McShame's expertise. He sure as hell was'nt impressive tonight. Yeah stick a fork in him, he's done. He totally convinced me that he will not win this election. Sorry McShame supporters, Im sure you will have a different view of the debates, but when this is all over, I cant wait to post my victory blogs. America will win in November.....OBAMA 08

Objectively speaking, both senators could have been more concise and transparent in their responses to tonight's debate topics. It seems the Presidential debate was a "tie," but Sen. Obama clearly will have more momentum going into the next scheduled debate. As the US economy struggles, Sen. Obama's ideas are being substantiated by the obvious (not by his words) the financial troubles felt daily by the US majority, "the Working Class."

Mccain couldn't have been more of a sissy. Trying to avoid the debate in the first place... then never looking Obama in the eye. Can't have a coward like that running the country.

Mccain = New Bush... I hope for the American workers sake Obama wins... at least he doesn't own 7 houses and change his stand point in the middle of the election just to make people like him more... not to mention starting the adds to knock Obama... too bad some American people don't research enough so they have to pay attention to adds... that's why Obama had to make some of those predator adds... even if he didn't want to. Thanks to Mccain.

I hope for our sake the Republicans don't fix the vote again... I was Independant until this year... I might have to turn Democratic... unless there really is a good Republican running.
