My family and friends really loved his comedy. I was always concerned about his health since his last bout of illness. He will be sorely missed. Our prayers and support go out to his family and friends in this time of grief. We pray that they will find comfort and peace. We thank God that he blessed our lives so much and that we are able to enjoy his comedy on film for years to come.

Truly a sad day yesterday once everyone heard the news of the passing of one of the original Kings of Comedy Bernie Mac. I just wanted to take time out to say a few words on the sudden lost of a great comedic genius who abruptly died at the age of 50 due to complications from pneumonia, after being hospitalized for more than a week. Never one to mince words always of the philosophy to express whatever was on his mind Mac should always be remembered for his brutally honest approach to both comedy and to life which made him into the sensational comedian and more importantly the individual we all knew and loved. Mac also seemed to possess the keen ability to take the most controversial of issues and or news headlines and place a comedic spin on them, in order to alleviate the concerns of his audience and put their minds at ease. One of the things I’ll truly admire when I look back at the legacy of Bernie Mac is centred on the fact that he always came across as a dignified respectful individual who genuinely cared for the welfare and success of others, constantly placing the needs of others ahead of those of his own. Never allowing his rapid rise to superstardom to give him a sense of entitlement or authority always remembering his grass roots and the people that helped along the way, not to mention his sense of humility combined with his unassuming nature made Mac an extremely likeable human who will truly be missed by a countless number of people.

In a time when the world needs laughter a truely great comedian has passed. Mrs McCullough your tears are being shared by the world and all he never meet. I am at a lost for words but I hope these will help...I once read in book it said "When you are born you come into this world you come crying and all those around you are smiling.... live you life so that when u take your final rest you will be smiling and all those around you will be crying". I don't see a dry eye anywhere RIP bernie.

condolences from vicksburg ms
