Yes. This was the right decision. This man has a license to practice law in Michigan. He graduated at the top of his law school class. He studied law, he knows the system and this is appropriate for his disregard of an order that was so liberal in comparison to what you or I, i.e., a non political person would receive.

Could this be a lesson for our youth? If Mayor Kilpatrick was more of a thinker than a thrill seeker, none of this would've happened to him.

Fianally ! Justice. How can you be such a supposedly intellegent man, yet...think you are "above the law?"...He's shown NO RESPECT for the legal system nor the officers who are to enforce it. He's not special just because he has the job of Mayor, he's brought shame to the office and insulted the legal sysstem and the City of Detroit. Enough already !!!!!!!

I think that it is a good thing that Mayor Kilpatrick is being charged, and will actually serve time. He has said before he was remorseful for his actions, but that was just talk. Actually doing some time will make that a bit more believeable. He has been at the center of so many negative news stories about Detroit, perhaps this will give him a chance to be out of the news for a few days.

Finally, Kwami found out that Justice is not Blind!! Thank you Judge Giles for restoring faith in our Judicial System. Now that we got him, let's get the Governor to Act and get this thing over with!!

Finally the right thing Judge Giles... If this were anyone else they would have been in jail a LONG time ago.. This might start the ball rolling with Granholm. Rightfully so..
It's a happy day for Detroit. Let get on with business as Mr Mayor would say..

I think he needs to go to jail long term, how long until he is released. Question: Does he have to be convicted in a court to be removed as Mayor?

Praise the Lord justice was served! The mayor has continually acted above the law and finally the judge treated him like a regular citizen and sent him to jail. I feel the judge should be harder on the mayor throughout this trial. The judge should use the mayor as an example to rest of the metro Detroit area that the law should be followed and if not there are extreme consequences.

What took so long for the judge to realize that this needed to be done. I guess it was best to get him while he was in court on the other matter. It's about time that he and his lawyers realize that he is not above the law or any better than anyone else. Money can't buy everything but I am sure they will find a way to get him out. He needs to see how everyone else feels when they are punished for doing wrong.

he certainly believes he is about all rules. this is the man who asked how you could trust a man named "white". imagine if l. brooks patterson said the same about someone named black! IGNORANT and above the rules

Why does he insist on playing with the judicial system. Does he not know the law and how to follow instructions. He is constantly digging a deeper hole for himself. . .There are many very educated fools in the world and he is one great example. I feel sorry for his sons, what a sorry example of a how to be real man.

It is about time that they put him any jail because if it had been anybody else they would have been in jail after the first time.the judge says that he does not care what anyone thinks about him but he knows what people are saying that he is very partial to the mayor and he is trying to show that he is not.Well hopefully KK will realize that he is not above the law.His lawyers should have some kind of sanctions against them for not letting the courts know the he left the country and he was in violation of bond.

Although this is a blow to the City of Detroit, justice has been served. Kwame has been getting away with this for far too long and it is time that he finds out that he is no different from the rest of the residents of this city. Way to go Judge Giles!!!

Oh yeah! he finally got what he desire, and I am sure this is just the beginning for him. If
it had been anyone else going through this mess
that he has caused for so long they would have been locked up the first day with no questions asked. So yes he got what he deserved.
