Nothing but lies and empty promises as usual! His time is almost up and I'm sure we will stop worrying if we're going to loose our jobs or our homes! It's time for a change!

After watching just the Republicans clap for a few minutes I slipped off into a wonderful goodnight.

There was one thing that had my mouth open , and that's giving a permanent tax break? The Man took us from and 18 billion dollar National Debt to 9.2 Trillion and now he want's to give us all money back. It clearly shows George just never understood about a balanced budget. Now bringing the National Debt into terms that everyone can grasp. Every single American from the Seniors to the babies owe's thirty thousand dollars and counting.

I just enjoyed watching him smile when he felt he said something meaningful. Thank God for speech writers.

Hey tall, If you are in a hurry to pay the government, feel free to write a check to the IRS. Like Bush said they accept checks or money orders.
I personaly think that I can invest my money better than giving it to the government to spend.
What a novell idea. Let us Americans keep the money we earn.

I believe that republicans believe that hard work wins, and government should allow you, to the fullest extent possible, to keep what you earn. Democrats believe that success results from luck,chance and happenstance, and therefore a just government takes from those who have and gives to those who do not.
Republicans believe that government should empower the individual, a government that taxes least taxes best.
Democrats want individuals to empower government, and support policies that redistribute income from person A to deserving person B.

Republicans believe what they see, and Democrats see what they believe.

Tall,

So what you're saying is that Michigan's problems stem from the President? The Governor has noting to do with it? Yes the housing market is crap, but you can't blame the President. First it starts with the IDIOTS that THINK they can afford a house they can't have. Have you seen what areas are hit the hardest? Michigan is in the top five, why you ask? Because the people are not educated enough to know that a ballon rate will go up in a few years, thus not able to afford their houses.
Now the job market, I don't think the President forced VW out of Michigan, according to Jenny, VW went out of the country to a country called Virginia.
Just sit back and try to figure out why Michigan is in the s**thole. You have a President that wants to improve gas mileage to 35MPG, but who do you think was against it? I'll give you a clue, they're Democrates and from Michigan.
Even if there was a Democrat in office right now, I would still blame the Governor. Who do you think imposes taxes for the STATE? Do you think the President raised my taxes in Chesterfield? I'm betting NO. I can't sell my house because uneducated morons didn't see that in a few years time their ballon house payments would double.
So in your mind, you would rather pay the Government for programs that you will probably never see, instead put it right back into the economy?
Keep supporting people like Jenny, Kwame, Stebenow......
And for jobs leaving? Yes, the first Bush started NAFTA, but Clinton signed it and pushed it. Should Bush got rid of it? I would say yes. If you want to bring up

I left the State for the reason it's being ran. Like others who say, "I leaving", I did it. I can't see my taxes on my house go up over $800 in a few years. I don't want to pay for Jenny getting blown away.

Bye Bye,

Oil has been taken off the commodities market it is now traded bye e-mail. The problem with that is there is no way to make sure the prices aren't inflated. When oil came off the market poof it went up a dollar and they started the song and dance of look how much it cost in.....

When oil goes up everything else is driven up to compensate for the new costs. Now between that and the cost of the Iraq war

$275 million per day
$4,100 per household

We cannot keep the value of the dollar strong, as it devalues inflations grows.

Now were all in trouble because a dollar just won't buy what it did.

Ratt,

Republicans spent the money we don't have then we bring in a Democrat to balance the budget.

Tall,

Like having Jenny piss away the surplus Engler left? Almost the same thing.

Yes, the dollar is weaker. Let me ask you why the oil is getting higher? China and India are driving up the prices not the war.

Angiebh1,

When you get your check, be sure to sent it to me here in Florida. Maybe you're not satisfied, but I wouldn't be either living under Jenny's form of Government. What would you call that? Raising taxes on everything you do? You enjoy paying taxes from getting a hair cut to God who knows what else? Is it the road construction you like? The scandles that makes Michigan a joke. You should see the news here about Detroit. I live about 120 miles from Tallahassee and good ole Kwame has a pretty nice house here that most likely YOU paid for.

They have sold to China forever they are using that to give a reason to line there pockets. Now Jennifer started with a 4 billion dollar hole and she can't seem to get over that hump because as she tries inflation just keeps making things worse. I am not saying that Jennifer is a great business woman by any means but lets not tack on things that are out of her control.

Straight from the Michigan.gov website. It's says:
passing the $675 million Clean Michigan Initiative to reduce pollution, fix up state parks, improve water quality and clean up contaminated sites;
trimming state government personnel by more than 20 percent (excluding state troopers, prison guards and other public safety workers);
transforming the $1.8 billion deficit he inherited to a $1.3 billion surplus;
restoring Michigan's AAA credit rating;
helping nearly 300,000 families achieve independence from cash welfare and reducing welfare rolls by nearly 70 percent;
restructuring the regulation of energy and telecommunications industries to increase consumer choice and reduce rates;
investing a record-high $1.54 billion to fix our roads in 2001 alone - more than four times the amount spent in 1990;
reducing violent crime by more than 25 percent;
serving an additional 45,000 patients annually with mental health services;
giving Detroit's mayor authority to appoint the local school board and speed up the pace of reform;
increasing K-12 education spending by 84 percent; and,
dramatically improving student reading and math test scores
