We all knew it was coming. It was bound to happen. Now that the wait is over and a new home run king has been established, how ya feelin'?

Is the record tainted by steroids? Does it really matter?

Let us know what you think here.

What is that symbol next to his homerun record??????????????????????????????????

Oh its an asterisk!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hank Aaron wouldnt even acknowlege Bonds record with good reason! Hank Aaron played clean and respected the game! Bonds should go down in history like shoeless Joe Jackson!

The same goes for mcgurie, canseco and the rest of those people that disrespected the game!

Bonds, Who? Hank Aaron is still the record holder. I think Bonds is just a steroid junkie. I think that they should take those homeruns he made while on steriods away from him. Let's see, he might have maybe 250 by now?

I'm not buying it! This guy has already been caught using steroids during the regular season so why should anyone assume anything differently now? Babe Ruth was too fat and drunk most of the time but STILL would hit them out of the park. THAT'S talent! These so called athletes today don't seem to be able to perform unless they use some sort of enhancing drugs. I wish the media would stop all the propaganda!

No, it's not tainted. Steroids have been around for 40 years, do you really believe he is the first superstar to take them? Atheletes have always tried to find an edge over the competition whether it's alcohol, amphetamines, spitballs, corked bats, caffeine.. whatever. What about the pitchers he faced that have used them?

To detroitdan:
So as you see it, one person's bad behavior excuses another person's bad behavior? Because someone else does it, then it's ok for another person to get away with it? YES! I know that steroids have been use for a lot of years by "athletes" in various sports but that doesn't make it right. Using your logic then, we should overlook other forms of cheating, bad behavior and maybe even criminality in general. You have to have or at least aspire to high standards of social behavior and if you want to make excuses then there can't be any standards. All bets are off at that point. IT then becomes acceptable to cheat because "others are doing it", it's acceptable to rob banks because "others do it", etc., etc. Get it now???

Norbert it seems to be that people in many areas view the world! I see people all the time unaccountable and always looking for a scam or free ride!

By the way these types of steroids came around in the mid to late 70s after hank Aarons career was over!

Mr. Bonds also took the fifth when asked in Congress if he used them on a regular basis!

Its a joke that Bonds baseball will sell for $500,000 when it should be worth the price of a shag ball!
