Is Paris Hilton receiving special treatment?

The L-A County Sheriff released her on Thursday because of an alleged medical condition, and some reasoning about jail over-crowding.

Whatever the reasons, the prosecuting attorney involved in the case is now asking the judge who presided over the case to find the Sheriff in contempt of court.

The judge ordered that Ms. Hilton serve 45 days behind bars, not jail from home.

Is this another example of two justice systems in our country, one for the haves, another for the have-nots?

Should Paris go back to jail?

If you were in Hilton's predicament, do you think you would be out of jail right now?

What do you think, Sound Off and be heard.

Paris' money and family name are working for her!! Why does anyone have the right to go againest the judges orders??She should have to go back to jail and serve her sentence. Funny how she played the dumb card when she said she did'nt know her license was suspended, but was smart enough to get herself out by having a "medical problem." I'm sure she never expected a judge would have the balls to give the great Paris jail time, hope she has to return today, shes no better then anyone else.

Maybe jail will make her think about driving drunk. Sorry, dumb me she did'nt have to spend any real jail time,so now she knows she can do whatever she want's and not have to be accountable. So who is responsible {besides paris] when she drives drunk again and hurts or kills someone?

SHE SHOULD HAVE JUST DONE THE 28 DAYS NOW SHE HAS TO DO THE WHOLE SENTENCE OF 45 DAYS, THAT'S WHAT SHE GET.

It bothers me that Paris Hilton could use a medical condition to get out of jail, yet there are so many inmates that have medical conditions that have to stay in jail. It also bothers me that Martha Stewart had to serve 5 months in jail before getting her tether, but Paris spends 3 days in jail, gets credited for 5 days (which I dont understand how) and gets to stay in her home with a tether. I guess money and looks wins. Where is the justice? I think she should now get the full 45 days in jail and possibly more because she created such chaos within the justice system. Does this also mean that Nicole Ritchie will get out early too if she is sentenced to jail at the end of the month for the same crime?

Of course she's getting special treatment, most celebrities do. She belongs in jail just for being stupid! She never even formally graduated from high school. What a great role model for our kids.

Paris Is getting Special Treatment because of who she is.......they said that she was released due to a medical condtion....since when is being needy and dumb a medical condtion! If the jail was over crowded anyway wouldn't they have the people comming in go to another jail.....I'm so sick of hearing about what paris does that im just waiting to hear that she seriously hurt or killed someone and then have her get out of that to by saying that is was due to her "Medical Condtion".
Sorry if this sound mean but its the truth...

It is definitely preferential treatment. My brother was in jail and suffered a mental breakdown (he is either paranoid schizophrenic or something like it). They simply put him permanently in thier infirmary, I wasn't there, but I was told he spent most of 2 years strapped down to a bed, they didn't even help him at all. Now, what he was in there for was worse than what Paris did, but just look at the extreme differences. It's ridiculous to think that she will get the necessary rehabilitation, if they pamper her the way that they are. Her whole world revolves around being the "bad" girl. If she wasn't constantly causing contraversy, people might forget about her, and she strives to keep that from happening. Someone needs to lay the law down, if not just for her benefit, but for the benefit of teenagers everywhere. Its bad enough so many americans have thrown away moral value, we can't throw away the law as well.

I think the whole entire thing is classic "Paris" - making a big drama out of an everyday event. The only one making this a "big" deal is her! Shes crying and all just for entertainment. If she could be traumatized by 45 days in jail, thats just sad. Hey wake up Paris - this is the REAL WORLD hunny!

Good Evening...I think Ms. Hilton should have to serve what her 45 days sentence and be happy that she didn't get 6 months or a year or even longer. She had enough "Special" treatment. Besides everyone has medical problems...rich or poor. She need to take it like an adult. You do the crime you should pay with the time regardless of your name/family.

I think we will now see what can happen when you have money, and a good lawyer.

I think it's a sad day for news when so much time is wasted on Paris Hilton. Get a life!

Paris Hilton should have never been released from jail. If she were here in Michigan, with her dui and driving while suspended, she would have most likely got twice the time to serve in jail, 90 days, not 45. I am glad that the judge put her back in jail, where the sheriff should have never let her out, since the judge stated that she would not be able to be under house arrest, and tethered. I don't believe she should receive any kind of preferential treatment either. I think she shouldn't have a cell to herself, she should be treated like anyone else in that jail, and she should have to share a cell, and find out what real life is like when you screw up. That no matter how much money you or your family has, you shouldn't be able to buy your way out of the consequences of your actions.
