I feel that Jordin was the "safe" choice. She has a classic voice and a classic look. However, she is not entertaining. She doesn't move around a lot and she doesn't really show a lot of emotion with her body. A person standing in front of a microphone for an entire 3 or 4 minutes does not get me excited.
I think Blake was definitely a better performer and was much more fun to watch. I think he will have an amazing career even though he was the runner-up. Just look at past seasons...more often than not, the runners-up have had more success than the winners! I'm looking forward to a Blake Lewis album!

I do not think this years finals were even... when they pick a song at the end of the season it needs to suit both singers. I myself thought they both deserved to win, but Blake did not have a chance after last night, the song was picked for Jordan, that is the only style of music she sang through out the entire season, except a few upbeat tempos that she did not get good reviews on. So in conclusion the song was picked for her, they knew she was going to nail it and Blake would have a very hard time with it... what if they would of picked a tempo like a Maroon 5 song... what would the outcome of been then?

Both were good. It is good to see Jordan as the winner but when it comes down to it, you will see all of the top 12 having a bright future. You will see Blake again no doubt about it.

Blake would have been the better choice to be American Idol. He is able to take a song that has already been recorded and make it his own. I personally feel that when Melinda and Lakisha release their CDs, Jordan's CD sales will be put on the back of the racks. I don't see her getting a Grammy. She is a one CD wonder. Her CD will have to be on shuffle with other CDs because she sounds the same in ever song she sings. I wish the best to Blake, Melinda & Lakisha!

That song was picked for Melinda. Jordan was the only choice as people seem to forget this is a singers competition. I think when Melinda got the boot last week people knew she was in the finals, so they voted for who they wanted next to her. You do have to give Jordan her due as she did a phenomenal job.

Please stop referring to the IA viewers as 'America' it was annoying the first season and still is today.

That said, While I did not watch most of the last couple of seasons of the show, I will say that Jordin's voice is amazing. It looks like the best singer won this competition for sure.

Regarding the final song selection, etc. Blake did not lose AI with one song choice. Overall Jordin's voice is more representative of a great singing voice with better diversity with what she can sing and sing well IMO.

It's not like Blake won't be as successful as Jordin in their singing careers, I see great things for them both.

The American Idol show is a JOKE!!!it is nothing more than a popularity contest,where you vote for the person not there ability,and they have proved it. many of the people that tryed out and sent home were better than any of the final picks,i have heard better singers at the local KARAOKE bars than the top 12.all 3 judges are tone deff, this show should be canceled and replaced with maybe how to watch grass grow,or something,be more exciteing.

Ya know..???? I never really watch the show until the final few singers-entertainers are on.....But I got to say I miss Sanjaya ! Now thats entertainment ! Laughing my azz of was the best medicine for this years show. Is he A Michael Jackson wanna Be or what ? !! ( even got the girly voice down to a pat ! )......all kidding aside....I think Jordan will go far...Bueaty and talent?....Give her that!!
