I've heard it said, "If you didn't vote, you can't complain about who wins." Well I voted, so let's just get that out of the way first.

Right now, I'm sure that a lot of you are very happy that Barack Hussein Obama will be our nation's next president. I'm sure that a lot of you are expecting things to get better very soon. Some of you are probably looking forward to free healthcare, lower taxes, and a better economy. I can't argue, you will probably be getting that very soon as I am sure that Obama will do his absolute best to follow through with what he promised. I'm not being sarcastic, I sincerely mean that.

But, I wonder, how long until funding is cut from our troops in the Middle East? How long until the UN decides to let Iran (or any other terrorist nation) have nuclear weapons? What do you suppose will happen then? And then on the home front, I wonder how much the murder count of innocent babies will go up? I could just go on and on with questions, but I know how this will all end.

I expect those who voted for Obama to defend their decision in voting and tell me that everything is going to be all right or that I'm some kind of conspiracy theorist. I'm pretty sure about how this whole thing will end, not because I'm some kind of supergenius. It all boils down to common sense -- any of you should be just as capable as I am to see what's coming. But you choose to be blind to reality and won't see what I'm talking about until it happens and even then, some of you will continue to delude yourselves into believing that everything is just fine.

Things are going to go quite well for a while. I just wanted the opportunity to say that it all looks great to you right now, but nothing comes without a price. You'll soon find out what it's costing you.

It's obvious that so many Americans don't mind if a Muslim who has connections to well-known terrorists has a chance of becoming our next president.  I can see that economy and financial stability takes precedence over our nation's moral standing and future security.  Though, Obama has not produced an actual plan that will fix us financially anyway.  No one, even some so-called Christians seem to mind if they support a man who will allow this nation's "doctors" to continue to kill over 4,000 babies every day.

But, what's the big deal -- we might lose our jobs!  But, what else can we do, I mean, this man says the magic word "change" -- certainly that means things will be better if we let him run this country, right?

All that aside, I'm waiting for somebody, ANYBODY, to tell me what QUALIFICATIONS Barak Hussein Obama has to be this great nation's next President?  I mean actual, political experience (not the mere 200+ days that he was a senator).  I mean actual leadership experience (not his "community organizing").  I mean real, tangible qualifications.

Democrats, liberals, and the like....SOUND OFF!  If you believe in your position, surely you can at least defend it.

Proof of God's existence is all around us -- as if God even has to prove anything to us.   God has proven so much to me already, I need no other evidence.  BTW, God doesn't have to prove one single thing to me but He is merciful and loving enough to do it anyway.  The day I quit counting my blessings is the day when I'll become bitter and angry with God.

My Blessings from God:

He gave me Jesus, who died for me and saved my soul from Hell

He saved my husband's soul from Hell

He saved my oldest son's soul from Hell

He gave me life

He gave me a husband

He gave me children

He gave me a good church (the BEST!)

He gave me a good church family

He gave me a home

He gives me food

He gives me drink

He gives me the very air I breathe

He gave me eyes to see with

He gave me ears to hear

He gave me feet to walk

He gave me knees to bow on

He gave me hands to pray with (and fingers to type to you the Truth)

I could just keep going on and on here but there are so many abundant things the Lord has provided me with that I, a sinner, do not deserve.

BTW, I see you have some pictures of yourself with family, friends and loved ones.  Who do you think gave you those people?  Do you not consider them a blessing or are they just the product of various gene pools?

Bad things happen to everyone at one or more points in their life because we live in a world where men have self-will and make their own decisions, good or bad.  God hasn't created us as automatons who just do what He wants all the time.  It's not just God who allows bad things to happen, but rather selfish evil people who are acting out their own self-will.

For example, if you were a robot with no self-will, you would not have the opportunity to speak out against God or blaspheme His Holy name.  But, that's not how He created you.  He has given you the choice to accept or reject Him.  He knew when He created you that you would blaspheme Him and Jesus knew when He died on the cross (because of His love for you) that you would one day come to despise Him.  He has given you the choice to love or hate Him.  I'm not angry with God because He allows you to be so hateful and bitter.  Rather, I'm thankful that He has given you many opportunities in this lifetime to receive Him as your Saviour.  I'm glad He created us all with our own will and because of that I'm able to make the personal decision to pray for you.

The bible says "there is none righteous, no, not one" and that "there is none good but one, that is, God."  So why should ANY of us feel entitled to have only good things happen?  The question is not "Why does God allow bad things to happen to good people?"  but rather "Why does God ever allow good things to happen to bad people?"

Comment as you please and know that God will one day prove Himself, as if what you have here on earth is not already enough.  However, He may not prove Himself in the way you like once you pass from this life to eternity.  Regardless of our salvational standing, EACH and EVERY ONE OF US will bow our knee and confess Him as Lord whether we enter into heaven or are sent screaming and fighting to an ever-burning hell.  I just pray that you will bow your knee in this lifetime so you can hear Him say, "Well done, my child..."

You know the hymn "Nothing But the Blood of Jesus", right?

"What can wash away my sin? Nothing but the blood of Jesus.....Oh precious is the flow, that makes me white as snow, no other fount I know, nothing but the blood of Jesus"

It's a great song and, what's more, there's scripture to back it up.

How many here are trusting in that fount and no other?

Please share your thoughts.

Women need to understand the intended role that God has given them. That’s not to say that a woman is any less important or useful than a man. It’s just that the Bible makes clear God’s design for a man and His design for women.   I can quote scripture and type it in here, but I'd rather that if anyone wants to see it, they see it in the Bible for themselves.  Here are the verses, be sure and read them in context:  I Timothy 2: 8-14    Isaiah 3: 1-26 is prophecy regarding a cursed nation - Verse 12 contains signs of a curse upon a nation.

Unfortunately, society has made their own rules and now finds the Lord’s design to be “old-fashioned” and “chauvinistic”.

You can see the good that modern man’s “improvements” have done to our nation as people’s minds continue to become more and more twisted even to the point that those who follow God’s will are considered intolerant and in some cases, criminal. We need to understand that Americans have become desensitized throughout the years, so slowly that most don’t even recognize just how backwards we really are.

With each generation, we have become more and more desensitized by the public schools, media and entertainment industries, and the very minute percentage of the population (homosexuals, feminists, abortionists, etc.) that is extremely liberal. Each generation has slowly and subtly been led to the point of acceptance of homosexuality, same sex marriage, feminism, abortion, etc. The generation that tolerates an immoral lifestyle produces the next generation which will not only tolerate it, but accept it. If you think things are bad now, just wait. We’ve already reached the point to where speaking out against sins that are abominable in the sight of God is a “hate crime” and one can be prosecuted and fined or jailed for speaking God’s truth. I will not bend in any area where God speaks clearly in His Word because if I do, my children will be even more flexible and their children will tolerate sin, and the generation after will then accept it, the next will most likely partake in it, and so on…

There is one and only one constant truth that we can depend on and trust will not lead us wrong and that is God’s Word, the Holy Bible.  The next time you complain about how wicked this world is, know that this nation's rejection of God and His Word is the very reason behind it.

Again, a positive blog!

Anyone here want to share how good God has been to you?  Some good scripture?  Maybe your salvation testimony (you know, what happened leading up to your getting saved).  Or, maybe you have questions about how to be saved.

NO SCOFFERS!   You all know I want for you to be saved (Romans 3:23 & Romans 5:8).   And, most of you already know if  you're here just to be sarcastic, I will do one of two things:

Embarass you and make you look like a jerk. (though you might do a fine job of that on your own)      Then, refer you to my Easter blog from 2007 (how to be saved)

The day I was saved, I realized I had never in my life come to the understanding of how wicked my sins really are in the sight of God.  I had been trusting in baptism (a work), instead of Jesus alone to save my soul from hell.  My heart was still wicked and nothing within me had ever been changed.  But two and a half years ago, I believed and trusted that Jesus Christ died on the cross for the sins of the whole world -- that meant MY sins.  In His great mercy, He showed me I was a sinner, lost, and on my way to hell.  He revealed to me that I needed to trust in only Him as my Savior.  He died for me, a sinner so that I would never suffer the torments of hell.  I also believe He defeated death and rose from the grave.

But, this Sunday morning, He ?reshowed? me who He really is in a  ?deeper? way.  It's amazing to me just how great God is.

This morning, my pastor preached about the fact that Jesus defeated death and rose from the tomb three days and nights after dying for the sins of the world.  Through that message, God revealed  something about Himself that I have trusted in my heart since the day I got saved.  But today, it just encouraged me in a way I can't completely put into words.

God, the Ruler and Creator came from His perfect kingdom in heaven and took on the form of a man, including all the temptations and grief that men face here on earth.  He didn't have to!  He is The King, our Creator.  I'm deeply amazed that The Creator died for His creation.  Jesus Christ, King of Kings and Lord of Lords chose to humble Himself and become a maimed, lifeless, pierced body on a cross; abused and rejected of men.  He CHOSE to go through all of that because He loved you and me.  In fact, the Bible says that He SO loved the world.  This morning, the fire was just "rekindled" and I realize that I've practically begun to take for granted just how very powerful and merciful God really is!  I just thank the Lord Jesus for adding much needed fuel to the fire that He first gave me the day that He saved my soul!

Jesus is the ONE and TRUE God and Messiah in that He is the only Savior who defeated death and is alive today.  And, He will one day return from heaven for those who accept Him -- who He purchased with His precious blood.

Please repent, believe in Jesus Christ, and be saved!

Happy Easter!!!

I thank God for those Dads out there who are supporting their families and caring for their children.  While the world makes it hard to take a stand for what is right and instill good moral values in our children, there are still men out there who keep God's truth in spite of adversity.   Thank you all for being the glue that is trying to hold this nation together!

Also, let's not forget those troops who have sacrificed their family time and very lives to keep this nation safe for future generations.  While some may not appreciate what they have done or are presently doing, mark me down among the many who still believe in fighting for freedom.

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!!!

I was playing around on snopes.com last night and found an older article about implantable microchips.  The question is "Are there chips that can be implanted in humans containing all their personal information?"  Snopes says "NO" and basically says the idea is iditioc.

Before you laugh at all of this, read on.

At the end of the whole article, in the powerpoint presentation, I see a reference to a company called Verichip.  Did anyone else know that this chip implantation is now patented and FDA approved?  Or am I just WAY out of the loop?

What do you think of all this?  What's your opinion about the possibility of a GPS tracking device being in this thing?   Quite honestly, it's a little scary.  Not so much to me, but maybe for some.

The following links will open a new window per link.  Please, check out these two sites:

Happy Easter everyone!  I know that Easter originated as a pagan holiday.  But, today, Easter Sunday, is a day that Christians celebrate in honor of the resurrection of Jesus Christ.  I don't claim to be a Bible scholar and I will most likely never be.   I just want to share some things that are on my heart:  (all scripture from the King James Bible)

JESUS said in JOHN 3:16-17  -  "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." (17)For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved."

That "WHOSOEVER" means ALL OF US!

According to ROMANS 2: 8-9   "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves:  it is the gift of God: (9) Not of works, lest any man should boast."

HEY, there is NOTHING WE CAN DO TO SAVE OURSELVES!  Being a great person and doing good deeds does not save us!

Realize that we are ALL sinners.  We have all, at one time or another, broken God's law (10 commandments) in at least one point.  ROMANS 3:23  -  "For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God."  Know that NOBODY who ever walked this earth is without sin except Jesus Christ.

Realize there is a penalty.  ROMANS 6:23 - "For the wages of sin is death..."

What kind of death???  REVELATION 20:14  -  "And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire.  This is the second death."     We all have an appointment with death.  We will all die at least once.  Those who go to hell will die forever.   JESUS described what happens to people in hell in MARK 9:44, 46, 48  - "Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched."    REVELATION 21:8 -  "But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderes, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone:  which is the second death."

ALL LIARS?????  That would be EVERYONE!  There is NO ONE who has NEVER told some kind of at least a little white lie!  That's just one on the list!

STICK WITH ME HERE, IT LOOKS PRETTY BAD SO FAR, BUT I PROMISE IT GETS BETTER

Well, if there are no deeds or works that you can do to keep from going to hell and the Bible shows that we all (as sinners) will have our part in hell, what hope is there?

Jesus Christ, God's perfect sacrifice - He became a man, left the perfection and bliss of Heaven to come to a cruel world, and lived a completely sinless life.  Why?  So that he could be our sacrifice.  He took our punishment, that we rightly deserve, upon himself.  ROMANS 5:8 -  'But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."

Jesus Christ came and was born into this world in the flesh, lived a sinless life, died on the cross, taking our punishment, was buried and physically rose on the third day (this is what we are particularly celebrating on the Christian Easter Sunday).  Jesus not only took our punishment, but defeated death in our place - He is the true Messiah, our true Saviour, in that he lives!

Salvation is not complicated!  Realize in your heart that Jesus Christ, God's son and perfect sinless sacrifice, has paid your sin debt.  God punished Him in our place to pay our debt in full!  Realize in your heart hat you must receive by faith Jesus as your Saviour and accept His free gift of eternal life.    YES - that gift is absolutely FREE!!  You can not work your way to Heaven - you will not be jumping through hoops to only half know if you are Heaven-bound!   ROMANS 10:13 - "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."   Again, that "WHOSOEVER" is YOU!

If you by simple faith will trust in Jesus Christ and His death, burial, and resurrection for your salvation, you can be 100% sure that you are going to Heaven.  If God is dealing with your heart right now, showing you that you need Jesus Christ as your Saviour, why not trust Jesus now, repent (turn from) your sins, and pray to Him.

ROMANS 10:13  -  "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."

Here is just an example prayer: Lord Jesus, I believe You died, were buried, and rose again to pay for my sins.  Be merciful to me a sinner and save me from hell.  Thank You, Lord Jesus, for saving me and making me Your child.

If you have accepted this in your heart and prayed about it to the Lord, yu are now a born-again, saved child of God.  Don't let any one tell you that you can't ever know for sure if you'll go to Heaven.            1 JOHN 5:13  -  "These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God;  that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God."    Let no man tell you that you can lose your salvation, if you have truly in your heart accepted Jesus as your Lord and Saviour.                         JOHN 10:28-29 - "And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. (29) My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand."   That means any man, including yourself!  You can't "fall" from God's grace.  Grace is defined as unmerited favor.  That means you did not earn it in the first place, so you can't lose it!  Once you are truly a child of God, you are ALWAYS a child of God.  Can your kids, no matter how bad they might act, stop being yours?  Your kids can't anymore stop being your kids than you can stop being God's child!

The next step is a step of obedience.  It is not any part of salvation.  Being baptized is the way of showing others on the outside what has happened to your heart on the inside.  When a person is scripturally baptized it pleases God.  MATTHEW 3:16-17  "And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up strightway out of the water:  and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him:  And lo a voice from heaven, saying, 'This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased'."   In this, Jesus is setting the example of obeying God the Father.  If you love Him, you will try your best to obey Him.  Not that that saves you, but that it's something you want to do to please God out of your love for Him.  Again, Being baptized is the way of showing others on the outside what has happened to your heart on the inside.

Find a good, Bible-believing church that preaches (not just teaches) God's Word (King James Bible).  Read your Bible so that you will know if what is being taught lines up with what God says.  Church attendance is not part of salvation, but it pleases God as He tells us not to forsake the assembling of ourselves together in HEBREWS 10:25 - "Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another...."  The Bible tells us that we exhort one another when we assemble together in God's name.  Exhorting means "to call to one's side" or to "call to one's aid" to "call for, to comfort."  In otherwords, God says that it is comforting and we aid one another when we  assemble together in His name.

Again, baptism and/or attending church does not save you, but they can be outward evidence that you truly love God and want to live for Him.  A change in your heart should overflow to the outside.  You can't have someone as big as God living inside you and there not be any change.  Getting baptized and going to a good church will help you to flourish in your walk with God.  When you obey Him, he blesses you in ways you would never have imagined.  After salvation, most importantly, prayer and reading your Bible will give you a close relationship with God.  That is what He wants with us - a turning from our sinful ways, our trust and faith in Jesus Christ to save us, and a relationship with the Lord.

I know I may have seemed a little harsh with some of you in the past, but I am only human and I truly just want to see you in Heaven one day.  I don't want to witness anyone being sentenced to hell.  I can't stand the THOUGHT of it!  I know that if God has shown me His truth, I will be held accountable for not sharing it.  Keep in mind that all the above is not MY opinion - it's quoted directly from scripture.

FRIENDLY REMINDER:  ANY CRUDE COMMENTS THAT DO NOT LINE UP WITH THE KING JAMES BIBLE WILL BE DELETED.  IF YOU HAVE QUESTIONS, EARNESTLY SEEKING THE TRUTH, I WILL BE MORE THAN HAPPY TO TRY MY BEST TO ANSWER THEM.

My first two blogs were about some issues that negatively plague our society.  This one's about the positive.  With Easter Sunday being this coming weekend, I'm opening this one for anyone that wants to share their testimony of salvation and how the Lord has changed their lives.  I pray this gets plenty of comments.

I figure this will not be on the front page, seeing as chocolate Jesus might be more interesting in this day and age than the real one.  That's sad...

I also want to warn any that would want to post NEGATIVE COMMENTS, YOU WILL BE DELETED!  Fair warning!

OK, my first Blog and it is to vent some and then pose a couple of questions to Bloggers and Blogettes alike.

What a low price tag we've placed on our kids these days.  To most parents, they seem to be worthless.  We've traded them in just to keep up with the Joneses.  How many of us remember the days when Mom stayed home and raised the kids?  Yes, that was something that once existed.  No working mothers need to get on here and tear me apart because I used to work full time and I know the struggles involved in that.  And single mothers, I know your plight, and staying home would most likely be impossible for you.

But as a married woman, I figured something out - we don't HAVE to leave our kids and go to work.  We can do without name brands and new cars.  By the way, my husband is just a blue collar worker - we make  under $40K a year - BEFORE taxes - and own a home.  And my husband says he's happier than he's ever been that I'm here for him and our kids.

Q:  Do any mothers out there agree?  Why or why not?

Q:  Do any fathers out there wish their wives could just stay home and cook the meals, raise the kids, and take care of the home?   Why or why not?

Q:  How many of our kids would more enjoy having mom at home with them instead of going off to daycare?

I expect that someone is bound to get angry that I posted this, but I just honestly care about the future of this country and its children.  As a mother that used to work full-time, I'm just amazed at how possible it is to stay home and actually make our bills.  I never thought it would work but it really has.  Thanks be to God!

Thanks for reading
