Ann Coulter shock columnist "Jews need to be "perfected"

Slash-and-burn columnist Ann Coulter shocked a cable TV talk-show audience Monday when she declared that Jews need to be "perfected" by becoming Christians, and that America would be better off if everyone were Christian. Coulter made the remarkable statements during an often heated appearance to promote her new book on advertising guru Danny Deutsch's CNBC show "The Big Idea." In response to a question from Deutsch asking Coulter if "it would be better if we were all Christian," the controversial columnist responded: "Yes."

"We should all be Christian?" Deutsch repeated.

"Yes," Coulter responded, asking Deutsch, who is Jewish, if he would like to "come to church with me."

Deutsch, pressing Coulter further, asked, "We should just throw Judaism away and we should all be Christians?" She responded: "Yeah."

See, this lady (and I do use that term lightly) does not reflect the mainstream republicans or most conservatives. This would be like saying your views (far left liberal) represent all democrats or liberals.
She is a white female version of Al Sharpton. She is an antagonist for the purpose of selling books and getting her ugly mug on tv.
I have read her books and found them to be mostly humorous and have taken her ideolgy as being humor. (I have also read books from the left with the same view, Al Franken to name one.)
The left is using her to make people think that she is the right or the image of the republican party. THIS IS NOT TRUE. It is just spin.

What is wrong with that comment? How can you believe that your religion is right and not want to convert others? If you believe that your religion is right and non-believers will go to hell, then clearly wanting to see others convert to Christianity is an act of compassion. I'm an atheist, but this issue seems like common sense to me. How can you believe in your religion and not wish for others to convert to save their souls?

All religions cannot be right. Hers is wrong, but she thinks hers is right and frankly I admire her for her courage to say in an increasingly indiscriminate society that there is a right answer and a wrong answer and the wrong answer should be rejected in order to improve the quality of life either in this world or the next for everyone. Where you see bigotry I see compassion.

Why hate her? Is she running around burning down churches? Is she raping people in her spare time? Is she running over school children in her spare time? No, she is exercising her freedom of religion and freedom of speech.

See I got a letter from Mike Reed he's the Fox 2 Web Editor and he sent this to me to learn how to post video's

Morning!

If you ever want to embed an actual video from YouTube or MySpace, you’ll notice two lines of code to right of the videos. One called “URL” and the other “Embed.”

You’ll want to highlight and copy the ‘Embed’ code.

Then, in your blog there’s a button on the second line at the end (if you mouse over it, it will say ‘Toggle HTML source’ Click that button and you’ll see your text change from regular to the HTML code. Don’t get freaked out by it. Basically, it’s a bunch of tags that make your line breaks. Just place your cursor to the end of your post and paste you copied code. Then click the ‘Toggle HTML Source’ button again. Don’t worry if it doesn’t show up before you post. It will show on the user end.

I hope that helps – it’s kinda fun once you get the hang of it.

Have a great weekend,

-Mike

Funny seems like just a few short Month's ago a whole flock of Republicans who are posting here supported Ann Coulter

Colt, First it's leash. Secondly I have said that group from San Francisco isn't my cup of tea but they are still Americans and deserve the same rights as you and I.

Ratt_Killer, I think marketing people to read her books is why she makes these statements. I hope you didn't buy them and put some more money in her pocket.
She is entitled to say what she wants about 'her' religion but with the separation of church and state I think she is ignoring the history of this country where all have the right to freedom of worship. A mass conversion??? Historically, wasn't Hitler trying to create the perfect race? She may not be burning churches but she is inciting distrust and judgment of others.

OK, well first of all, please don't paint all Republicans with such a broad brush. (BTW, to clarify, I am neither Republican nor Democrat). Furthermore, not all Christians agree with Ms. Coulter either, so please don't generalize all Christians by the actions of one.

You cannot force a religion on anyone. That is the true intention of the often misinterpreted "separation of Church and State." It means the government can never establish an "official" religion, therefore, people are free to worship as they please in this country.

As for Ann Coulter, she needs to learn simple respect for religions other than her own. She was out of line on this one, but I suspect it was simply a publicity stunt to sell more books. I really doubt that very many people take her seriously anymore. She is entertainment.

There once was a bird who didn't fly south for the winter. One day when it got really cold the bird fell to the ground, and was well on his way to freezing to death. Then along came a cow, that crapped right on the bird warming him, therefore sparing his life. The bird got so happy he started to chirp. A cat over heard the chirping from the pile of dung, uncovered the bird, and promptly ate him. The moral of the story is that somebody who puts you in chit isn’t always your enemy, and a person who get's you out of chit isn't necessarily your friend.
