Good bye to all!

I have decided to leave the teaching field and become, once again, part of the military industrial complex.  I have been offered a job at TACOM working as an operations and logistics administrator for the Military’s MRAP Program (Mine Resistant Ambush Protected vehicle). I am in the process of being reviewed for my Security clearance this week and will start on Monday April 14th.

I have really enjoyed my time on these blogs and have had some great debates with a good number of people.  I am going to miss most of the regulars on here.  With my new position, I will not have the time available to dedicate to these debates.  I will be out of town quite often and will be unusually busy.

I will occasionally check in to see what mischief you all are getting yourselves into.

I would like to give a few special thanks to the following bloggers:

Colt – keep up the good work my friend.  I hope that everyone will soon realize the importance of what you post.

Shock- Thanks for your vote of confidence over the past 1 ½ years.  You are definitely one of the most outspoken bloggers on here.  Enjoyed your posts.

ByeBye-  I think we could have been good friends.   Thanks for your years of service brother.

Tall- I still do not agree with most of what you say, but I wish you well with your illness.

Car- We have had a 50/50 view on things. But remember to keep your cool.

Luvs, Mom and Nurse, Rita, enjoyed our conversations.

Sarge- Although we disagree on a few things, thanks for your service also.

Michigan man (Tim)- Keep up the logical debates. You logically prove things without a doubt, just remember than not everything in life is logical, have fun sometimes.

Midevil- You are just weird. Or should I say you all are weird? (Hey look not a single word over 7 letters)

Seedub and Revalcoholic- You two are very racist, you really need to realize that not every white man is out to get you. Get out of this negative viewpoint and enjoy life.

Spiritsoup- You are crazy- I have never been afraid of any man on this earth but you come close.  Your views are not sane what so ever.

Longshot- you are a newbee on here. You really need to lighten up if you want to open any kind of dialog with anyone. Oh, stop deleting opposing viewpoints.  That’s just childish.

Mrs Hubby- You still look fine for a Grandma.

Steveincanton- Keep posting.  I have to admit that I don’t read all of your stuff, but the ones that sound interesting I have enjoyed.

There are a lot of others on here that I have debated with and have enjoyed it all.

Keep posting, have fun and keep it on topic!!!!

With the Obama wins in Wiscosin and Hawaii yesterday, do you think that it is time for Hillary to bow out gracefully or do you think she will fight this to the convention.

I think the later.

Also the same goes for McCain's win.  Do you think Huckabee and Paul should give it up?

I think I see a McCain/Obama fight in November.

Giuliani has decided to drop his run for the White House.  With only 1 delegate on record, Rudy has put his support behind McCain.  I think that it is about time for Paul to drop out.  With super Tuesday approaching there should be a 3 way race in both parties.  Republicans should host McCain, Romney, and Huckabee.  The Democrats should host Clinton, Obama, and Edwards.

My thinking is that both Edwards and Huckabee will both drop on Wednesday (Paul also if not by then).

The race is still up in the air on who will get the nomination for both parties.

Will it be McCain- Clinton or Romney- Obama?

Republican Delegates (1,191 needed to win nomination)

Candidate Delegates Rudy Giuliani 1 Mike Huckabee 40 John McCain 93 Ron Paul 4 Mitt Romney 59 Total 197

Democratic Delegates (2,026 needed to win nomination)

Candidate Delegates Hillary Clinton 249 John Edwards 56 Mike Gravel 0 Barack Obama 181 Total 486

A STUDY that claimed 650,000 people were killed as a result of the invasion of Iraq was partly funded by the antiwar billionaire George Soros.

Soros, 77, provided almost half the £50,000 cost of the research, which appeared in The Lancet, the medical journal. Its claim was 10 times higher than consensus estimates of the number of war dead.

The study, published in 2006, was hailed by antiwar campaigners as evidence of the scale of the disaster caused by the invasion, but Downing Street and President George Bush challenged its methodology.

New research published by The New England Journal of Medicine estimates that 151,000 people - less than a quarter of The Lancet estimate - have died since the invasion in 2003.

“The authors should have disclosed the [Soros] donation and for many people that would have been a disqualifying factor in terms of publishing the research,” said Michael Spagat, economics professor at Royal Holloway, University of London.

The Lancet study was commissioned by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and led by Les Roberts, an associate professor and epidemiologist at Columbia University. He reportedly opposed the war from the outset.

His team surveyed 1,849 homes at 47 sites across Iraq, asking people about births, deaths and migration in their households.

Professor John Tirman of MIT said this weekend that $46,000 (£23,000) of the approximate £50,000 cost of the study had come from Soros’s Open Society Institute.

Roberts said this weekend: “In retrospect, it was probably unwise to have taken money that could have looked like it would result in a political slant. I am adamant this could not have affected the outcome of the research.”

The Lancet did not break any rules by failing to disclose Soros’s sponsorship.

So yet again, a study to discredit the Bush administration and to demonize America is funded by George Soros.  If you don't know who this is look him up.

DOW JONES INDUSTRIAL AVERAGE IN (^DJI)

Spiritsoup showed a chart previously that showed News corps stock prices dwindling due to a "grass root effort" by Ron Paul supporters.

I did an overlay comparing the DOW JONES INDUSTRIAL average against News Corp (NWS) and found that they mimic each other.  I guess the Ron Paul Brigade effects not only News Corp but the entire stock market.

Now compare it to Time Warner Cable (TWC):

Time Warner Cable Inc. (TWC)

Go back to your conspiracy theory websites.

Army Veteran- Married with children- Graduated CMU with Masters Degree- I am a Republican, a moderate Republican. I believe in small Government, I believe in low taxes, I believe in capitalism. I believe in a representative government. I believe in tight immigration. I am Pro-2nd Amendment, Pro- Death Penalty. I am against abortion as a means of birth control but favor it in the case of rape, incest, or if the mother or baby are in serious threat. I believe that stem cell research is a must but not something that the government should fund. I also believe that embryonic stem cell research should not be done. Life begins at conception. I am not a religious person, but believe that everyone has a right to be. I do not believe that religion or the so-called “intelligent design theory” should be taught in public science classes. This is not a science. If comparative religion is taught at a public school, that is fine, as long as it is not taught in science, and make sure all belief systems are taught and compared. I am against Racial and Sexual discrimination and therefore am against Affirmative Action in hiring and school admissions. I am against same sex marriage (and also a constitutional amendment to ban them) but in favor of civil unions. I believe that Unions are what’s wrong with American workers today, not globalization. The socialistic “Robin Hood” attitude of these unions hurt today’s educationally advanced culture of workers. The unions have become nothing more than a political action committee in favor of pushing a platform that favors Democrats and bashes Republicans. I believe that the ACLU destroys our rights more than protects them. I believe that security and safety is our number one priority. Capitalism will take care of our economic concerns. I once considered myself a Regan Democrat. Now I consider myself a Moderate Republican. I want to distance myself from the vitriolic Democrat party because I think that they have no clue as to what many mainstream Americans hold dear. I also do not agree with the far-right Conservatives when it comes to governing this nation according to their religious beliefs. I am not a one-issue voter. I try to judge every candidate on every issue and vote accordingly.
