I stopped watching the cable news programs over a year ago.  I found them to be one sided.  I first started watching CNN while Clinton was in office.  I realized that this channel was just a RAH RAH suporter of the Clinton Administration, thus the nickname Clinton News Network (CNN).

I watched MSNBC for about 3 months and although I tried to "get into it" I found them to be totally absurd in their reporting.

I switched to Fox News (FNC) because I agreed with the conservative aspect of the reporting.

Now I hear from Liberals all the time that Fox news should be taken off the air because it supports the Republican party.  What about all the other networks that Kiss the liberals asses?f  Should they be taken off the air also? CNN, CBS, ABC, NBC, PBS, MSNBC . . .  that would leave a very boring line up.

I do agree that Fox news does lean more right.  But this is a good thing.  It is nice to have a dialog that can be debated rather than straight left "reporters" with an agenda.

I think that most of America appreciate the Fox news network for this.  Week over week the ratings tell the story.

VIEWERS

FOXNEWS O'REILLY 3,040,000
FNC HANNITY/COLMES 2,337,000
FNC GRETA 1,862,000
FNC SHEP 1,583,000
FNC HUME 1,508,000
CNN DOBBS 1,227,000
CNN KING 983,000
CNN COOPER 976,000
MSNBC OLBERMANN 962,000
CNN BLITZER 839,000
CNNHN GRACE 663,000
MSNBC HARDBALL 604,000

O'Reilly comes in first 90% of the time.  I laugh at MSNBC with talk show host Keith Olbermann, and Chris Mathews of Hardball.  This is a failing network.  Check out the ratings for yourself. With the exception of Sean Hannity of Hannity and Colmes, I think most others on this channel are right leaning independants. Alan Colmes, is by far a Liberal.  This show is great because you get to see both sides of an issue and the guest vary from far right to far left.

What do you think.  I know that stats on this blog love to be ignored and there will be wicked arguments that Fox news is a Bush pupet organization etc....

Hey Ratt_Killer, I read your bio and I'm glad your a Veteran. Usally Veterans have a good opinion and you do. I myself have been watching Bill O'Reily for quite a few years and mostly agree with him about 95 percent of the time. These are the cable people I watch, first Lou Dobbs, then Bill O'Reily and then Glen Beck. You got to listen to Glen Beck, he is on HEADLINE NEWS. These three reporters speak nothing but the TRUTH. I listen to these guys and hear news that would never be on the local news. They are a breathe of fresh air to me. I won't mind seeing either one of these news reporters being PRESIDENT. They know more than any or all of the THREE STOOGES that are running for the PRESIDENTS position now. I like what you said about the ACLU, they are part of the problem especially with the ILLEGAL ALIENS. In Chicago ( little mexico ) we have between 2 - 2.1 million ILEGAL ALIENS. There everywhere, in our neighborhoods, our schools, our hospitals, our jails and our prison system. In California they have bankrupted almost 100 hospitals and it's headed ths way. Oh yeah don't forget to check out Glen Beck, I'll bet you will like him, he is very informative.

Of course some will debate the stats even when they are put right in front of them; I'm beginning to believe Liberalism IS a sickness that can't be cured. BTW Tall, Mayor Newsom of San Francisco is a Democrat-Could explain how gays took over that city huh?

Well Tall, according to these stats showing who the people watch your Dems seem to lack attention. I wonder why????? Your comment seems to make sense to you but is a Democrat not who they are? Still can't swallow the harsh pill of reality huh?

BTW Tall-Maybe you too will learn not to attack the messenger but the message or attack the issue, not the issue-ee. I really wonder many times if you actually read the posts you comment on or just look for fellow bloggers to dive bomb. You almost seem related to your 'heroes" Hillary & Obama-Oh that's right you are!!! You're all democrats, how dare I forget! Not hard to learn their similar attacks on each other rather than addressing the people's issues, huh Tall? I too respect your resolve as a stout Democrat but I question your ways of addressing posts here.

I'm not bashing people for being Gay that's you Carl. If my words upset you maybe it's because your blatant Homophobia is getting old in here. Gay, Straight, Black, White, Red, Yellow, Christian, Jew, Muslim, Buddhist, Catholic, we are all Americans and deserve to be respected for whom we are as individuals.

Carl,

I am a bit out of line here. I am sorry that I'm giving you a hard time. I put my first comment up as a joke but I guess I better keep my Karaoke.

Not a big deal Tall because we are all fellow bloggers that go through this sometimes on a daily basis with many others. Our saving grace is we have some seniority and can get past the snive remarks just as we accept positve input. That is the nature of the business in here, bud. BTW, if you had left out the gay part along with the muslim and buddhist content, It would have been an easier pill to swallow. LOL.

Carl, I don't agree with the Gay lifestyle either. But it iis not my place to not respect their decesion either. I also do not have anything against Muslims or Buddhist either. I think that everyone has the right to believe in any ridiculous religious belief they want including christianity.

Army Veteran- Married with children- Graduated CMU with Masters Degree- I am a Republican, a moderate Republican. I believe in small Government, I believe in low taxes, I believe in capitalism. I believe in a representative government. I believe in tight immigration. I am Pro-2nd Amendment, Pro- Death Penalty. I am against abortion as a means of birth control but favor it in the case of rape, incest, or if the mother or baby are in serious threat. I believe that stem cell research is a must but not something that the government should fund. I also believe that embryonic stem cell research should not be done. Life begins at conception. I am not a religious person, but believe that everyone has a right to be. I do not believe that religion or the so-called “intelligent design theory” should be taught in public science classes. This is not a science. If comparative religion is taught at a public school, that is fine, as long as it is not taught in science, and make sure all belief systems are taught and compared. I am against Racial and Sexual discrimination and therefore am against Affirmative Action in hiring and school admissions. I am against same sex marriage (and also a constitutional amendment to ban them) but in favor of civil unions. I believe that Unions are what’s wrong with American workers today, not globalization. The socialistic “Robin Hood” attitude of these unions hurt today’s educationally advanced culture of workers. The unions have become nothing more than a political action committee in favor of pushing a platform that favors Democrats and bashes Republicans. I believe that the ACLU destroys our rights more than protects them. I believe that security and safety is our number one priority. Capitalism will take care of our economic concerns. I once considered myself a Regan Democrat. Now I consider myself a Moderate Republican. I want to distance myself from the vitriolic Democrat party because I think that they have no clue as to what many mainstream Americans hold dear. I also do not agree with the far-right Conservatives when it comes to governing this nation according to their religious beliefs. I am not a one-issue voter. I try to judge every candidate on every issue and vote accordingly.
