Saying goodbye to an Navy Officer, Son, Brother, Father, and Best Friend.  I had to do the hardest thing in my life saying goodbye to my best friend Officer Tracy A. Gore who past in the streets of Detroit trying to breakup a fight.  And he was killed he was well respected in the military and the funeral showed that.  As his best friend it is as if I past with him.  This man for those who knew him was very special to those who came in his path.  Another Detroit violent act for one of our Fallin Angels.  Wake up Detroit

I am sorry for your loss. It is crazy what goes on out there. People no longer have respect for human life!

When will the people of this once great city wake up and demand better of their society.

The poem that I found is a poem for my best friend Officer Tracy Gore.
Medals
Don't envy a man his medals
All those ribbons on his chest
He did not try to get them
They're not there at his request
They were earned in stinking hell holes
Where no man would like to go
Or in cold and wintry places
Where there's only ice and snow
He did not know he earned them
Till they were awarded at parade
And they were bright when he first got them
But in time the colors fade
He was told he had to wear them
And to wear them all with pride
But when the memories come to haunt him
Those same medals make him hide
Cause those medals will not bring back
All those guys he left behind
And he would trade them all forever
For a little peace of mind
So don't envy a man his medals
You don't want to take his place
Thinking back to long gone battles
And meeting dead friends face to face

GIRL I DON'T KNOW WHERE TO BEING OR HOW TO END. A BEST FRIEND IS SOMETHING THAT IS CHERISHED AND PRECIOUS. A FALLIN ANGEL ON TOP OF THAT. YOU HAVE GOT TO HAVE COURAGE TO BE ABLE TO POST A BLOG AND TALK ABOUT THE SITUATION. WE AS HUMANS TAKE LIFE SHORT AND DON'T APPRECIATE. YOU STRONG BE SWEET AND GOD BLESS U AND THA FAMILY.

World of peace comes
When we each shed the light
fueled by love as a weapon
No longer a need to fight.

The bombs can stop dropping
But for that unity must exist
without global unity
War and strife wonâ??t fail to persist.

Itâ??s fueled by greed
With competition, hatred and fear
drop the mass consumerism
There's enough resources for everyone here.

When did the value of one life
Become more important then another?
Testing new pharmaceuticals on Africans
When we all share the same eternal mother?

Our priorities are out of line
instead of making change, we're digging our graves
A Modern world, with laws shaping equality
yet there still exists slaves?

Polluting mother nature
Reaping her of her bountiful grace
Even with us as the protesters own foolish actions are the authorities maze.

We're blinded, not by the truthful light
But by the veil that covers our eyes
the false fabrication of life in this system
It only contributes to our demise.

What's needed now is for us all
To open our eyes and see the guiding light
To always be consciously aware
And make the truthful choice in what's wrong and right.

To view our own lives
Choices from an outsiders lens
to share peace, spread love
Give generously, and make amends.

If you don't believe in religion nor God
Know that the true religion of God is love
With love as the true compass of your life
All your trials and tribulations can be risen above.

Let that love foster, reach unimaginable heights
And spread it in humble ways
Let it bring light to any darkness
Bring be

princess I saw the spot on the news last night how tragic. I can only say I am sorry for your loss. It does not do anything for your greif.

This man was truely a great American (20 years service),educated and loved by the community.

It is so sad that people feel that killing like this settles anything. Are people that full of pride or lack of self respect they cannot just walk away. For the life of me I have no idea how someone can think it is easier to pull out a gun and kill a fellow man rather than walk away. It is beyond me!

ALL I CAN OFFER IS THIS... THIS GREAT MAN IS NOW SITTING NEXT TO OUR LORD AND FATHER IN A PEACE WE WILL NEVER UNDERSTAND,UNTIL IT IS OUR TURN. I am sure he would not want you to be over come with grief. I can only say this because when I go I do not want anyone to be grieve too long for me. When will people learn life is something to respect and more important than any pride or envy.

like karen said keep your chin up.

Sincerely
colt

I'm so sorry to hear of the death of your friend. May God give you strength through a difficult time.

Again, I'm so sorry about this tragedy. Those responsible for his death will pay, without a doubt. God fights all battles, and this one will be taken care of.

To my best friend my first Valentine's Day without:

A Valentine is nothing like
A chocolate or a rose.
For in a week these shall be gone,
But Valentines remain.
If love were always sweet to tongue
Or fragrant to the nose,
Each day would be like Valentine's,
And we would go insane.

A Valentine just hangs around
Waiting to be kissed
Long after special days have passed
And every days are here.

So one is wise to choose one well
And chocolates to resist.
For in the midst of mania
It's nice to have one near.
