Democrats want protection for the taxpayers, in this Bush bail out deal. So, if you don't feel the effects, thank a Democrat.

Pipper,

Do you have a clue who the people that decided not to pay their mortgages are? They are the tax payers!!
Bush has to ask Congress, because they are the only ones that can approve it. It's your Congress, the Democratic Congress that has to approve it. The President can ask, but Congress has to approve. Did you take any kind of Government class?? If you know anything about economics, it would be a good idea for Congress to approve it. You're so damn blind about Republican verses Democrat, it's sicking.

Government class? Can you read?? Or is this just your feeble attempt to make a point. Read the post above, s-l-o-w-l-y and hopefully you will comprehend.

Also, bye, since I'm so blind that it's sickening, please do us both a favor and skip my posts.

The democratic congress is also the entity calling for provisions to protect taxpayers in this bail out plan, so the tax payers won't get stuck with the tab. There are also, a couple of 'pubs calling for the same provisions.

I must say I'm very surprised that someone soooo concerned with tax hikes is so dense in the matter, especially now. Or could it be that the concern for taxpayers is coming from 'a democratic' congress??? This is strictly a rhetorical question, which means, it does not require an answer.

Pipper,

This truly amazes me, first in your post and I'll quote:
"How 'bout this: BUSH ASKS CONGRESS TO APPROVE $700B to buy toxic mortgages! I say, let 'em drown!!!!!"

Then 24 hours later you write, "The democratic congress is also the entity calling for provisions to protect taxpayers in this bail out plan, so the tax payers won't get stuck with the tab."

So what is it? Let them drown or bail them out? Can't have it both ways!! It's these very tax payers over a million of them that defaulted on these loans. I agree with the first post, Let them drown, because it's idiots that got way over their heads. It seems you want it both ways.
Here's a free history lesson, in 1999 Bill Clinton signed into law that overhauled the banking system that got us into this mess. Don't worry the Republicans are just as fault in this too.

Hey Pipper....look up the 1999 Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act, signed by yours truely DEMOCRATIC PRESIDENT BILL CLINTON....they (dems & reps) are all guilty of corruption...just gotta figure out the lesser of two evils.

bye, as usual, you don't read very well. You left out the part of the quote that gives it's meaning: "Trickle down effect? How about this..." Any learned person would know the emphasis in this quote is on the trickle down EFFECT of the bail outs.

You really sound foolish, sometimes.

It was actually Bill Clinton's administration that signed into law the 1999 Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act. This bill effectively reversed the Glass Steagall Act of 1933 which was designed during the depression to regulate banks and prevent market instability. Most agree that the that the 1999 bill paved the way for the current Sub-Prime fiasco and $700,000,000,000 tax-payer funded bailout.

It's because you are cited on the BLOG of senorguz, who has a number of "Hispanic" tirades written in Spanish, hoping to influence the votes of Hispanic-Americans. There is a distintion that needs to be made betweem "Mexicans", and "Hispanics". The first are the aboiginal peoples of the geography we call Mexico, while the others are post-Columbian invaders from SPAIN. In Mexico, the Hispanics wield the political power and the aboriginals are treated like dirt. How does a Hispanic call a native American the N-word? he calls him a MEXICAN.

This became foder fo BLOGS when senorguz tried to use the border wall as a platform against Repblicans, but the desert without the wall is an invitation to suicide and the murder of your chidren by your own hand if you try to cross. The wall is meant to channel would be illegals to find legal means to immigrate into the US. When they succeed, they become the
N-word slaves to illegal employers.

I really don't care about your distinctions and I am not trying to influence ANYBODY'S VOTE.

But I reiterate, I hire illegals every chance I get.

I don't think your U.S. gov't cares about your distinctions either, because in the census data they put you all in the same category: MEXICAN!

Earl_E: Clinton did the dropping and the Guliani/Romney/Huckabee/McCain/Palin RNC put the skids on the DNCs self-flattery. You should get Pipper's address &/or phone number. You can't stop talking and she can't hear, so you'd make the ideal dimocratic couple, sorta like lean Jack Sprat & his fat wifey.

Obama's basically a big-eared shoeshine boy in a fancy suit and Biden (FDR on TV-no coal mines in the USA) is simply his best customer.
