Was at the Century Plaza last nite w/ several thousand of my closest friends.. watching a little .. oh what did they call it again ? HISTORY being made.  Everyone was so fired up it was really exciting.. when Obama made his speech from Chicago it was a real moment.. on 5 giant TV screens... everyone felt like they were there..   One thing struck me also, in watching it and the crowd... Mayor Villariagosa was up in the little tiny press area , being interviewed ( surprise ! ) by like everyone in at least two languages, when Obama came on... He stopped  and leaned on railing there and had a look of awe and admiration and wonder on his face.. i wanted to take a picture but i really didnt want to intrude... you might search the web for photos of him from that moment cause there were like a million photogs there.. at any rate.. i know he felt pride for Obama ( even though he was a friend of hillary) and i wonder if he was thinking .. '' that could be me someday...'.. i'll have to ask him that.  Anyway..  there was quite a positive young happy vibe in that giant ballroom... and seemingly everywhere else obamaniacs where watching.. if we could carry that feeling out to the rest of the country and the world maybe we'll have something going there !!!!

crafty- keep your racial remarks to your self like before they started this blog thing, and as you should know there is no place for you and your pecker wood friends in society anymore
its a new day in a new place and your not welcome, you must not like your dentures.

sorry about that Mr shuman,we still have some old schoolers from the old south that went to school with general grant that just can't get over the fact that slavery days been over and the only thing he will be kicking is the bucket
i really feel sorry for that man.
do you think we should just stop the world and let him and his Buddy's off ?

Dear Friend,

You did it!

You made every sacrifice we asked of you, and more. You gave generously of your financial resources. You waved Yes on 8 signs on street corners. You walked precincts. You telephoned voters. You distributed materials. You talked with your friends, family and colleagues. And you got our supporters to the polls on Election Day.

Because of you, Proposition 8 has been enacted! The final numbers this afternoon from the Secretary of State’s office show that Prop 8 was adopted by a margin of 52.5% Yes to 47.5% No. We racked up a 504,479 vote victory!

This is a great day for marriage. The people of California stood up for traditional marriage and reclaimed this great institution. We are gratified that voters chose to protect traditional marriage and to enshrine its importance in the state constitution.

hey mredfost ..this shows how ignorant you can be even when I'm sticking up for black people you call me racist..you need to put down the Popeye's catfish special and read what I said ..if you watched the news last night the ballroom was full with about 90% white people while black people couldn't get in on a day that the media made out to be the greatest day for black people since the emancipation proclamation..it seemed unfair ..get it ??OK now go back to your 40

LOS ANGELES -- A newly approved ballot measure banning same-sex marriages in California faced three legal challenges today, including from the same Los Angeles-area couple whose lawsuit helped overturn a previous ban.

oh lighten up donaldtrump mredfost and I have been dueling like this for months I don't take it seriously in fact I usually get a good laugh..its almost good that two people can even do that these days thanks to liberal politically correct BLEEP..now to the real matter at hand Obama has started his leftward move steering the country into an iceberg..by appointing left wing Washington insider Rahm Emanuel his chief of staff the stock market is showing no confidence in his ability to pull us out of this mess and by appointing leftists only makes the future look grim and on top of that Russia said it was going to deploy mid range missiles on the Polish border..thanks again all you liberals we wont have to worry about the economy for much longer as we will be involved in world war three .

Mr. Ed,
It seems like Crafty isn't the only one stuck on race. You continue the same crap with your comments like "whitezona", "peckerwood", etc. Racism is obviously still alive and well, and you have yourself to shoulder part of the blame, brother. It's hard to move forward when your stuck in the past.

thanks voodoodog but you know as well as me liberals don't take blame they make blame..how about that press conference huh the only thing missing up the was Bill Clinton ..i guess the change Obama was talking about was the years he thinks its 1992..and we all know what happened the first two years of that disaster..bring on the republican congress..did you also watch the stock ticker as he spoke ..the DOW was at 200 when he started Speaking and was 129 when he finished ..it even went down to 80 at one point..this is going to be a long four years

Don't know if you happened to catch "South Park" on wednesday or thursday, but they did an episode titled "What happened last night", that centered around the final night of the election. Although it was parody, it was pretty spot on concerning the over-jublulation of an Obama win and a McCain defeat. It also had parts of their actual speeches inserted into the plot, less than 24 hours after the fact. Pretty funny stuff.

I get to do what we call ''long form'' stories, investigations, half hour specials.. we can really get into some serious issues here... ( no not Britney). Someday i hope to meet Jillian. Later.
