Hit the Home Depot Center in Carson sat along with 15 or 20 thousand folks to hear and see and experience the Sarah Palin phenomenon first hand.. and let me tell ya she rocked the house. Now you can sit there in your ivory tower and lament her lack of experience and tsk tsk about how foolish John McCain was to pick someone 99 . 9 percent of Americans had never heard of.. but you're livin in the past baby.  this crowd loved this woman, with all her winks and droppin of ''g's'' and shout outs and gollys.... so if you think California is automatically in the Blue state as it's been every Presidential election for the past 16 years... think again my friend.. She has folks motivated.. fired up.. donating, volunteering, registering and switching.   Not sure exactly what ''it'' is but she has ''it'' .. it's one of those things.. you know it when you see it.  Can she run the country if need be ?   incredibly, not really an issue for the Palinites.... They just know she's ''one of them'' ,... they can ''relate to her ''.... she's ''honest'' and ''tough'' and will ''stand up to power'.. and of course she and John McCain are the ''m'' word.... it may in fact be true.. but it's also a demonstration of the great political theory that if you repeat something often enough, it BECOMES true... stay tuned though, golly gee.

Sometimes at work your station is on. With all the vitriol from your "reporters" I'm surprised anything positive about either McCain or Palin is permitted. But, as for me: GO SARAH! We are thrilled that a war hero and soccer mom are on our side.

I'm pulling for Palin. The 'inexperience' tag on her doesn't stick. That same tag could be placed on "Governor" Clinton and "Governor" Carter (both democrats).
.
It would be refreshing to have someone in office who wasn't groomed as a politician.

How about that Shelly Mandel, president of LA's National Organization for Women, endorsing Sarah?

“I’m here today speaking not on behalf of NOW, but speaking as an individual, as a women’s rights activist for 30 years, who has worked for all those years to see this day.

“Let me share with you where I’ve been and why I’m here. I was there in 1977 for IWY. That was the International Women’s Year, in Texas. I was there in 1978 when we campaigned hard all over the West for the passage of the Equal Rights Amendment, working right alongside my dear friend Maureen Reagan. I was there in 1984, when we worked so hard to get Geraldine Ferraro on the ticket and then to support her historical place in that election.

“And I’m here today, proud to support Sarah Palin, a woman who will fight women’s rights, a woman who will fight for the middle class, a woman who will, Lord knows, shake things up. Now, make no mistake, I’m a lifelong Democrat. I don’t agree with Governor Palin on several issues. Hey, she’s going to work on persuading John McCain on ANWR. Well, I’m going to try persuading her on things of my own.

“But I know Sarah Palin cares about women’s rights. She cares about equality. She cares about equal pay. And, as vice president, she will fight for it. She cares about our children, and she cares about women’s lives. She’s an athlete, and she knows what Title 9 did for girls like her.

“Change must come to Washington, and Sarah Palin has what it takes to lead that charge. I believe she is courageous. I believe she has integrity. And I know that Sarah Palin is a reformer who will break up the old-boy network, buck the system and get Washington back on our side.

“It is an honor to call her sister. America, this is what a feminist looks like, Governor Sarah Palin!” -Shelly Mandel

Palin has one of the best things backing her up: God's wisdom and blessing! If the Republicans win this one, hopefully, they will help the recession avoid becoming a depression, and bring things up for a bright future.

Phil, thanks for posting this blog!

WOW! It would be great to see Sara Palin at the Home Depot Center, maybe I'll bring the Sara Palin binoculars, so she could point me in the right direction to see Russia from the Home Depot Center. I thought great about McCain until he chose this bimbo crash dummy, I guess no one knows how she abused her power to fire her sister's husband as a state trooper because he was divorcing her sister, and the other shady things she's did.

Now would that be the same trooper who innocently tazered his ten year old step-son and who only politely threatened to kill a man? That little sweetheart of a trooper?

What a BLEEP! How dare she. Next thing you know she'll be trying to encarcerate child molesters and maybe even deport illegal immigrants in some sick attempt to uphold the law or worse, maybe she has a strong sense of honor, or some sick desire for justice! ugh! The nerve.

LOL!!!!! Palin makes Dan Quail look smart! I watched the CBS Couric interview and the ABC Charles Gibson interview. She is not qualified? She is not even informed. Fareed Zakaria from Newsweek is right. Palin couldn't answer some very important questions and she clearly didn't even UNDERSTAND some of the questions! She should not be Vice President.

-Dasvics- I love how conservatives are pro law enforcement, or pro military for that matter, until it doesn't suit them anymore.

Sarah is incredibly smart, everyone sees that except the homosexuals, and even they are beginning to admit it. Or did you not read the previous posts? Feminists LOVE Sarah, Christians LOVE Sarah, everybody LOVES an honest person, Sarah.
Don’t allow yourself to be fooled Dmickie, follow the light, don’t be afraid, it wont hurt you I promise.

Conservatives are pro-law enforcement, an they’re very patriotic, that’s true, someone has to be. And we certainly can’t trust the Democrats to stand up for what’s right, can we? Thank goodness for Conservatives, this country would be lost without them.

.. been in LA since '83... aside from the traffic and an occassional earthquake it's awesome.. why wouldn't you want to live here ? I have a great job.. the people here are fun... I get to do what we call ''long form'' stories, investigations, half hour specials.. we can really get into some serious issues here... ( no not Britney). Someday i hope to meet Jillian. Later.
