I was disturb by something yesterday...(insert Joke here)  yea, yea....

I read something about an Austrailian Article and these retarded Carbon Credits.....Well here it is for your digestion.....

"However, in the meantime, a rather striking proposal has been published in the Medical Journal of Australia. According to news reports Barry Walters, an associate professor of obstetric medicine at the University of Western Australia reckons that families opting for more than a defined number of children should be hit with a carbon tax. Conversely condom and sterilisation costs should be awarded carbon credits.

Dr Jack Pezzey concurs with the general idea. A senior fellow at the Fenner School of Environment and Society at the Australian National University, figuring that population growth accounts for over half of the country’s growth in energy-based emissions, says, “... if you want to control total emissions you cannot ignore total population growth. You simply have to admit that it's part of the problem."

Another backing the proposal is Garry Egger, an adjunct professor of health sciences at Southern Cross University in New South Wales. "Population control seems to have gone off the rails in the last 30 years," he said. "It's almost forbidden to talk about it these days. It's almost like smoking - you have to go out in the alleys to talk about it.”

Yet, as of next year, the Australian Federal Government will be giving families a one off payment of $5,000 per new born baby. Dr Egger feels that after two children however, parents should be instead paying a carbon tax."

Now what Bothers me is that I have also heard that China believes that since they have Forced Abortions they should get Carbon Credits for every baby aborted.

There is something Very wrong with this Thinking.....it is going down a Road we don't want to go....

Once a Life is Given a value as a Carbon Credit or Charged a special tax for basicly Breathing, it opens a pandora's box of future wrong doing.

Next they'll decide that once your too old and useless that for the sake of the planet you must die so someone else can have your carbon credit.  Or if a child is born with Special Needs, they will put it to death so that their carbon Credit can be given to someone that won't be considered a drain on society.  This Reeks of the Good Old Facist Ideology of a Master Race....

We do not need to Go Down this Road, I refuse to Go down this Road.  The Dangers are overwelming, the Benefits...illusionary......

What Kind of World have we become  to decide that a Human Life is less important than......a Carbon Credit?

Population control is a must for the whole world.

Look at the starving people, especially in Africa. They keep having children; one man there may have 3-4 wives and 20 kids. I would say after 3 children for the man, something has to be done.

There is no sense in people having all these children and then not taking care of them.

Maybe if everybody just flushes their birth control pills down the toliet it will get in our drinking water and put the entire world on birth control.........lol

On a serious note though..... A big family raised properly makes for much wealth..... Not in the pocketbook but in the heart..... Lots of kids not raised properly needs to be considered a crime........ Instead of population control they need to create harsher penalties for child neglect...... Look at all the moms with 7 or 8 kids that just look at them as welfare income.........

Population Control is none of the Gov's Business. I come from a family of 14 Children, I am #13. If this type of law was in Place I would not be here now. My Child would not be here...and I wouldn't be here to post my annyoing blogs...
So there would be many draw backs...

But the article talks about not allowing people to be born, not for hunger, quality of life or quality of parents, it's for Carbon Credits.... For Breathing, for using more energy...I mean wow, can we just make up another reason?

When I heard about this Cap and trade I made a Joke to my wife.."what, are they going to charge us per breath?"

I am not laughing anymore....

I think that just for spite we should all chow down on some beans everyday for a week.

Let them try to tax the outcome.

I think the whole carbon credit aspect is insane. A life is worth far more than a carbon credit. Then again a parent that values a carbon credit more than a potential has some serious issues so maybe they shouldn't be having kids.

Australia giving a rebate to people that only have one child is not a bad thing. They are not saying you can't have more, you just won't get extra money from the government.

There was a proposal years ago to limit welfare. If you had more than two kids you would receive no more income for it. People screamed that the government had no right to tell them how many kids they had. It was dropped. The thing is the government was not telling them how many kids they could have. They were only telling them how many of their children our taxpayer money would support.

The First part in the article said that if people had more than a certain number of kids they wouold get hit with a Carbon tax...for having Kids..over a Certain Number..sad

And what China suggested..is just too horrible to imagine..asking for a Human Life to count as a Carbon Credit..is insane...

Next well have national Hold your breath and don't turn on any lights day.....sheesh..people do have too much time on their hands...like bloggers hhahahaha..lol

I thought the beginning part was doctors just speculating. Government doesn't have to give us more for having kids and shouldn't take more if we do. Wow I am using great English today.

I would not take advice from China on anything to do with birth control. They are just now realizing what we figured out years ago. If you only have boys you may have a problem when they want to marry. OOPS

I blog when I want to take a break from whatever I am doing. I need lots of breaks today.

Here I do cost analysis and spreadsheets. At school I do accounting and information technology management. I spend too much time looking at a computer screen. Yes I do realize that blogging doesn't get me away from the computer screen. At least it is words and not lots of tiny numbers and columns and querries....time for a nap.

Actually time to go home. I deserve a real break today.

"But war, in a good cause, is not the greatest evil which a nation can suffer. War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things: the decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks nothing worth a war, is worse. When a people are used as mere human instruments for firing cannon or thrusting bayonets, in the service and for the selfish purposes of a master, such war degrades a people. A war to protect other human beings against tyrannical injustice – a war to give victory to their own ideas of right and good, and which is their own war, carried on for an honest purpose by their free choice – is often the means of their regeneration. A man who has nothing which he is willing to fight for, nothing which he cares more about than he does about his personal safety, is a miserable creature who has no chance of being free, unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself. As long as justice and injustice have not terminated their ever-renewing fight for ascendancy in the affairs of mankind, human beings must be willing, when need is, to do battle for the one against the other." - John Stuart Mill
