Hi Everyone, I hope everyone is having a great Easter Holiday and spending time with  your family. I have a few minutes until the ham comes out of the oven so wanted to reply to a few things I have been reading on here.
Personally, I am trying to weigh the pros and cons about both Clinton and Obama.
I have decided against McCain because I do believe this country does not need another hot headed yes man in office. (my opinion)
Hillary, has some experience but also stayed married to a man who has been unfaithful.
Obama goes to a church whose paster seems hateful and misguided to what spiritual faith is. He seems to love the power of being in charge...
My question is, Does Hillary cheat because her husband cheats? Should she have divorced Billy Boy? Should Obama divorce his paster because of his paster's political views?
We all have personal reasons why we do and don't do things. But when it comes to business, don't we do what is best for the company?
After all, we didn't fire the pope, when we found out what alot of the cathlic priests were doing to children. How do we know they were not influenced by the pope himself? We are americans, we have an american president....do we all agree with what he says everytime he speaks?
Does Obama have other influences maybe and kept going to that church for family and tradition purposes? We all have friends in which we don't always agree with everything they say. We have parents and grandparents who we don't always agree with. But we can't fire them. Well we could but then we would have no family.
This paster has been in his life for 20 yrs, he is probably a part of his family.
Now, to be truthful, I am leaning toward Hillary.....but there are some concerns there as well. I believe she knows her stuff, but but  but.....
How can we really trust a women who puts her trust in a man who has done what he has done? And, we all know that there are some world leaders who she will have to deal with who absolutely hate women.
This election is a tough one! We need to keep personal feelings out of the way and use our heads. Just something to think about.
Happy Easter to all!

There are too many people who think that their little neck of the woods is the entire world. With the media going rampet on politics and who gets to play president, we are losing site of the big picture. How about a little comman sense folks?  Just because you read something on the internet, see it on TV or on You Tube doen't mean its the truth. Don't let people pull the wool over your head because their voice is louder than yours or because they act like they know what they are talking about.

For instance, the upcoming election. There are why too many issues with big question marks .... Now is the time to ask questions and get answers. Pretty soon it will be too late. Some people feel what's the use. The people with the money and the power will get their way. Guess what folks, there are more people without money and power than there is WITH power in this country. Educate your families on the issues! If we pull together we can out vote them and get someone in office with comman sense who really understands the working class average family rearing Americans! I don't care where you came from, what color you are or if you can speak perfect english, if you pay taxes, you deserve to vote for what you believe will better this country!

As for me, I am keeping my ears and eyes and mind open.

I am waiting to see who the VICE PRESIDENTS may be. That tells a story all of it's own! In my opinion, we the people really screwed up the last few elections....Let's get on the ball this time!

I got this in my email and it made me think. I feel it's so sadly true.  I just wanted to share it because when we know better, we do better.

Isn't it amazing that George Carlin - comedian of the 70's and 80's - could write something so very eloquent...and so very appropriate.

A wonderful Message by George Carlin:

The paradox of our time in history is that we have taller buildings but shorter tempers, wider Freeways , but narrower viewpoints. We spend more, but have less, we buy more, but enjoy less. We have bigger houses and smaller families, more conveniences, but less time. We have more degrees but less sense, more knowledge, but less judgment, more experts, yet more problems, more medicine, but less wellness.

We drink too much, smoke too much, spend too recklessly, laugh too little, drive too fast, get too angry, stay up too late, get up too tired, read too little, watch TV too much , and pray too seldom.

We have multiplied our possessions, but reduced our values. We talk too much, love too seldom, and hate too often.

We've learned how to make a living, but not a life. We've added years to life not life to years. We've been all the way to the moon and back, but have trouble crossing the street to meet a new neighbor. We conquered outer space but not inner space. We've done larger things, but not better things.

We've cleaned up the air, but polluted the soul. We've conquered the atom, but not our prejudice. We write more, but learn less. We plan more, but accomplish less. We've learned to rush, but not to wait. We build more computers to hold more information, to produce more copies than ever, but we communicate less and less.

These are the times of fast foods and slow digestion, big men and small character, steep profits and shallow relationships. These are the days of two incomes but more divorce, fancier houses, but broken homes. These are days of quick trips, disposable diapers, throwaway morality, one night stands, overweight bodies, and pills that do everything from cheer, to quiet, to kill. It is a time when there is much in the showroom window and nothing in the stockroom. A time when technology can bring this letter to you, and a time when you can choose either to share this insight, or to just hit delete...

Remember; spend some time with your loved ones, because they are not going to be around forever.

Remember, say a kind word to someone who looks up to you in awe, because that little person soon will grow up and leave your side.

Remember, to give a warm hug to the one next to you, because that is the only treasure you can give with your heart and it doesn't cost a cent.

Remember, to say, "I love you" to your partner and your loved ones, but most of all mean it. A kiss and an embrace will mend hurt when it comes from deep inside of you.

Remember to hold hands and cherish the moment for someday that person will not be there again.

Give time to love, give time to speak! And give time to share the precious thoughts in your mind.

AND ALWAYS REMEMBER:

Life e is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.

                        George Carlin

Thank you so much Mr. Carlin!   I coulldn't have said it better myself !

God, please grant me serenity to accept the things I cannot change, courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference. Amen! (THIS PRAYER IS NOT JUST FOR PEOPLE WHO ARE ALCHOHOLICS...THIS IS GOOD ADVICE FOR THOSE WITH STRESS AND ANXIETY. WE CANNOT DO IT ALL BY OURSELVES AND THAT IS WHY WE HAVE EACH OTHER!)
